  1. I agree with Coney. Save the cash while you mull over the various rifles available. Do your research and don't panic buy... you'll have more money to spend and probably a better idea of what is ideal for your circumstances.

Looking at the "customisation" I'd be straight to the chronograph... and then probably a decent gunsmith.
  3. How about this one? Stupid or visionary?
  4. I think it sounds great although I agree with Andrea. Apathy will be the biggest killer. I think we have something here that no one else does. A forum. That would make it accessible and most importantly... free! Might be worth having a chat with IanB about having a special section to discuss such matters? The dangers, of such an endeavour, can be seen in the other groups and what they have done wrong. I'd leave money out of it until you absolutely have to because people will think the worst... Sounds good to me though.
  5. Shouldn't that be do Badders?
  6. Sitting up until the early hours of the morning deleting posts...
  7. I was just thinking that myself Zap. 54 at this moment... on a site of 7000+
  8. No complaints from me, Bill... up it goes.
  9. ...and they'll probably be empty having not had a visit for 6 months.
  10. I can agree with all of that. The original post highlighted a seemingly impossible shot. I'm sure there are many people here that would say it's a fluke. I'm sure there are equal numbers that would say it didn't happen. Either way we can all agree that this sort of shot, with a standard air rifle, is not the norm. It's certainly not recommend. Shooting, and especially airguns, are under constant scrutiny and anything posted on this forum, that puts us in a poor light, will be removed. Like the pictures in the catapult thread. End of. The only reason this thread stayed up i
  11. How much are you willing to spend?
  12. No pictures/instructions showing how to tune rifles, please.
  13. I was lead to believe that the S410X had a much larger cylinder to cope with the extra ft/lbs?
  14. Apologies for not giving this your immediate attention. Like most volunteers I can't afford to sit here all day, everyday, just a few hours at a time. Shooting game birds with catapults isn't illegal, like using a bow or explosives. But it isn't humane either. They're very low powered and like crossbows, compound bows, drop power extremely quickly. After taking advice from BASC we decided that such pictures shouldn't be shown on the forum as catapults aren't a recommended tool for taking game birds. If you want to take the picture and show it on the game keeping forum, or if su
  15. Classifieds are for Donators only. Sorry.
  16. We did it in this thread... but yeah I do think so.
  17. Totally agree... The Express did it for the McCanns for a good 6 months.
  18. I can only agree with the above. Hope she's found soon.
  19. A link would be good.
  20. You can buy your own chronograph for as little as £35-40 new. Gun shops will usually chronograph a rifle for about a £1. Cost to put it right will vary. If you've bought an air rifle, it's the shops responsibility to make sure it's legal. If you buy one from here or from the Loot or something like that it's yours.
  21. Are you filling all of the their criteria, for membership? Rule 1. You have to be from an ethnic background that isn't Caucasian. Rule 2. You have to be homosexual. Rule 3. You have to be a police officer. If you can answer Yes to these I'm sure they will welcome you with open arms.
  22. While I agree it will never happen. Ever. In mine, yours and our great, great, great grand-kids lifetime. While I can partly agree BASC are shooting only. That's their mandate and they'll stick to it. They won't do anything to jeopardise them or their membership. The Airgun BBS had some extremely derogatory posts about hunting with dogs. Many of their membership wouldn't side with us, despite our continuing support for them. This only cements the need for a group to cover All Of The Above! Definitely! I met Barry at Pest Tech, Birmingham NEC. He made conclusive arguments in
