  1. Hit the report button when you see it. That way it can be dealt with swiftly. Be part of the solution.
  2. Most of the top brands in the industry are available in FAC. It's just a case of picking out a gun that you like and seeing if it can be tuned and supplied to you, in accordance with your local firearms laws.
  3. I'd have the HW100 over any gun on the market today.
  4. Good tip that. Docs have a tendency to 'breach the hull.' Top side of nettle leaves are incredibly strong but this is was done under controlled conditions by professional operators. The Hunting Life accepts no responsibility for any injury gained following advice on it's forums.
  5. £5 a year isn't alot. You could always try Loot if it's not to your liking.
  6. How To Become A Donator It's voluntary. The site is free and will remain so.
  7. If it's as sweet as you say it is, then hang on to it. You will regret it if you swap it for something else. Someone will get a great rifle and you'll end with something that you will always compare it to. Decent 's are hard to come by. Most of them have been butchered by power mad home tuners. If it were me I'd start saving now and buy something later on. At least this way you can cool off and buy something you've thought about thoroughly.
  8. I leave em and collect em all when I've had enough.
  9. Like Halfinch said, depends on where you shoot and how patient you are, I suppose. Bear in mind that any movement on your part could f**k up your nights shooting. Rabbits will learn how you behave so bear it in mind. Personally I'd sit and shoot and collect them up when you're done, either when they're wise to you or when you've got them all. Think variation.
  10. Measure across the diameter of the objective lens, and again for the eye piece. Take into account anything that may increase the diameter, especially if you have parallax adjuster or something like a battery housing for an illuminated reticule. I made that mistake here and it cost me a small fortune in postage! When you phone the gun shop tell them the exact measurements and ask if they have them in stock. They should be able to tell you there and then and it will save you the hassle of waiting for the postman only to find it's all wrong. Don't rely on printed charts because if your

What are the circumstances? Can you be more specific?
  12. Definitely! But if I wanted to eat that shit, f**k up my liver and lose my sex drive I'd want some coin as well... I certainly wouldn't sit in the drive thru like the rest of the dicks.
  13. I was referring to the plastic and zinc, apart from the shite groupings I had alot of plastic fouling inside the action. Also the tin ones were awful. Not tried these lead alloy ones. Might be worth buying a tin/pack and putting them through a serious test to see if the hype is to be believed. I'd love to hear your findings on them, either on paper targets or in the field. Also I'd be interested in down range ft/lbs through a chrono if you have the set up to test such a thing.
  14. I agree with Tyla. Also the recoil of the springer will effect the zero of the laser, the jolt sending it out a bit each time. If you want to go down the laser rangefinder route you'll be better off, either that or upgrade your scope to the same cash value as you're prepared to spend on the laser. Lasers are fine with PCP's but a gimmick, IMO.
  15. Not a fan. Couldn't get on with them, zero all over the place with no consistent groupings. That was in a Webley Stingray, TX200, HW97K and an HW100. Some swear by them but I'll be sticking to a decent lead round head.
  16. Is that from the documentary? Supersize me? He put nearly two stone on, in a month, eating nothing but McDonalds. Ended up with liver damage and it took him 14months to get the weight back off!
  17. Not sure about that but they can confiscate your car on suspicion, if they think you're about to break the hunting act... wankers.
  18. It would be f*****g typical if he was busted for a health and safety violation.
  19. Many of these devices promise the earth. I've yet to find one that has and I've tested plenty, through work. I've found cockroaches inside the housing, I've seen mice sat on top of them and I've seen rats gnawing on the corners of them. If you find one that fulfils what it promises let me know because you'll make me a fortune. I reckon your best bet is setting traps. Repellents don't work. Poisons will work but you risk the ferrets eating the dead carcasses should one of your targets keel over. As your ferrets are much smaller than dogs, and far more likely to eat dead mice/rats, the
  20. I can pretty much agree with all of that except the highlighted bit... It might be different in the US but British kids are generally thick as s**t. They think they know everything and looking at the way teenage lads, and girls, dress and behave they're very heavily influenced by clever marketing media. Don't believe me? I went back and fixed the links in the previous post but you can see them here and another one here. If you can get through the bit about bad diets you can read about pre-pubescent lingerie and poll dancing kits in the toy section of one of our supermarkets. Also look at our c
  21. Pretty much anything for that money. If you're looking at new guns you'll be limited in choice. If you're looking at second hand your options open much more but so do the pitfalls. Spend as much as you can justify... there really is no right or wrong answer without more specifics.
  22. BC. I don't think I was having a go at the picture itself more the way it's been pulled up by the media. It's not a naughty picture by any stretch of the word it's the way the whole debate has been dragged out. To her that may have been for private use only... but celebrities will never get a private life no matter how much they complain about exposure. I don't see that picture as porn but, likewise, I don't see it as art. I see it as clever marketing. That's one clever publicist, paving her way into her adult acting career. People pay millions for that kind of exposure. She certainly didn't.
  23. Did anyone go to the Midland last year? If so how was it? We started boycotting it after the quality declined. Been going to it a few years too. Last time we went it was more like a car boot sale than a game fair. Deals on hunting gear and paraphernalia were non-existent but if you wanted patio furniture, crap tools, cheap plastic toys, and £4 for a burger then it's ideal. Lowther was much better but patio pedlars were more frequent than previous years.
  24. Rolfe knows that... the tunnel is obscured by the camera angle.
  25. I'm sure some of the local shooters could give you the specifics but shooting around national parks can bring it's own set of procedures. If you're looking at that kind of land then have a read of the Old council Rubbish tip?? thread. It'll be authority managed so you'll need to speak their language.
