Personally I like the HW97K but they're basically the same rifle. One has an underlever cocking mechanism (HW97K) and the other is a break barrel. They're both superbly engineered and as accurate as you can hope for with a springer. I see what you mean about costs but if you're buying one of these rifles you'll use it for a very long time.

Firstly, welcome to the forum, Big Dave! There is no difference when it comes to age. Weihrauch are pretty good at keeping everything public. If they change a rifle it'll have a new model number. If you buy either of these rifles you'll get an A1 piece of kit. New rifles will have a 12 month warranty and you'll know they're legal and haven't been tampered with. Second hand rifles will be cheaper but condition will vary considerably, buyer definitely beware here, you could have a bargain or a piece of scrap...

I think Buster was getting at our forum policy. Basically we don't allow rifle tunes, on here, and any information to tuning will be pulled. Nothing wrong with talking about it but this forum has been used as a sourcing ground, for various legal and journalistic purposes and we can't allow a free for all on tuning info. Yes it's available. Yes it's easy to find. But I won't allow this forum's airgun section to be quoted by our opponents and used as a stick to beat the shooting community with. Actually scratch that Chris! I've just seen a picture of one and realised that it's not a CO2 pistol but a rifle! Go to a gun smith and get the barrel threaded to ½ inch UNF... that way you can attach any silencer you want and it'll get you a better selection than a slip on silencer.

I'll reply to it because I don't want you to think I'm being ignorant but isn't there a silencer adaptor similar to the Walther CP88/99? You can fit any silencer you want after that.

No worries SS. It's not a crack at you personally, it's just infuriating that these dicks actually film themselves doing this shit... When we put it up here we will boost the hits on that video by a stupid amount. Then it climbs the rankings and then more people have access to it. With a forum as popular as this we have a duty to people that may stumble on it, by accident. No offence intended Sureshot. I'm thinking of the greater good.

The only decent fair left visiting was Lowther and that was starting to show signs of less hunting gear, more cheap tools, plastic toys and patio furniture. At the Midland they were caught selling Coca Cola at £2.70 a pint and even had the nerve to pour it out of 2litre bottles marked £1.69... they even had the nerve to try and stop people bringing in their own beer. The Sunday morning saw a half mile queue for the toilets because they didn't empty them, closing the gents and splitting the womens in half. This effectively left 10 stalls for a couple of thousand people. Smelled nice!

It is confusing, I know but you'll get the hang of it. Law isn't the easiest thing to understand which is why groups like BASC will paraphrase things and post things on their websites for 'normal' people to follow. YES. You are allowed to shoot on your permission, unsupervised. However you are not allowed carry a rifle outside, the boundaries of your permission/home, unless you're supervised by someone over 21.
