  1. I like a piss take as much as the next man but please leave any personal correspondence, between you and them, in your inbox. If people want to read it I'm sure PM's are sufficient but I believe that posting personal details, including emails, of people that aren't in a position to respond is jolly unsporting. Respect the quarry applies just as much here, as it does in the field. If Mr Doe wants to bring the discussion here then it's fair game, but as he isn't here (or doesn't want to) then private correspondence should remain so. I'll say here. If people want to discuss the policy
  2. That story has really brightened up my day! Thanks RK! I'll be honest here. Moderating is a thankless task. You can never please everyone. You always do something to someone's benefit only to be slated by someone else... In a way I can kinda feel for the position some of these people are put in... However... That is just crazy! Airguns are tools to do a job. Period. As much as the target shooters like to distance themselves, from the hunters, the air gun was developed for use on the battlefield. If it wasn't for it's proven accuracy they wouldn't target shoot with them! Being
  3. Yes and yes. It's a straight forward job and is designed to fit that particular rifle. Just send them your details so you get the right kit. The more info you provide the less likely you'll have to send it back!
  4. I haven't got a clue here Buster. I can't see why it would be pulled... I've just got on here, at 3am, and I'm as puzzled as you are. I've been through the archives and deleted files and I can't find a trace of it. Repost it if you want.
  5. No worries. That's what we're here for! Let us know how you get on because we're probably just as eager as you are to get out in the field! Picking the guns up will give you a feel for the one that is right for you. A decent selection will give you a better choice. Yeah you'll have to be with an adult. In this day and age they will probably ID you. As already has been said. Lead free pellets near water so as not to poison the wildlife.
  6. Try this... Does that help? No worries Mal... it's the ones that keep coming in... I know it's upsetting and really pisses people off but 8 threads... c'mon...
  7. That's f*****g brilliant!
  8. I've merged 8 threads on this topic now... Stop starting new ones and reply to the existing ones. We know that the KC are bunch of money grabbing fuckers but we don't need a dozen threads when one will suffice. This has been a public service announcement.
  9. You'll be able to get something new, warrantied, and legal for that kind of money. I'd recommend getting into a gun shop and seeing a few of the items they have on sale. It'll give you a much better idea of what's on the market. You don't have to go PCP, a decent springer set up is worth considering especially if you've never shot before and it'll be much cheaper than a PCP set up. Also if you're shooting over marsh land you might want to consider lead free pellets.
  10. I tend to agree there, JD. I had the 77 Venom Mamba, the biggest mistake I made was selling it.
  11. Don't forget they do it for free too. It is a f*****g disgrace.
  12. Sounds like he's ready, Grim... start him slowly and talk through it all. Justify everything you do and you'll have a well trained, well informed, pest controller to help you out. Plus a future ambassador for airgunning. Sounds fantastic and it's good to see young blood coming into the sport! Good luck with it Grim! All the best!
  13. What's wrong with the current format, in your opinion? I just think several sub sections dilutes will stop people viewing the main section and divide it all up into several sub communities, i.e not many PCP owners will read the Springer section, FAC owners won't be dealing with non FAC etc. The biggest, most viewed, section on that other site is the general section... which is what ours is. I'm chatting with Ian about it but basically I believe if it's not broken it doesn't need fixing. :search:
  14. As a moderator I'm allowed to see all of the threads... but thanks for replying. Maybe you'd like one of these?
  15. Would that be illusion or delusion? Anyway according to the last round of opinion polls it's Drunk With Power, Against Freedom Of Speech, Power Tripping etc... I can assure you, though, it's definitely drunk...
  16. This is a special government installed thread to track down computer hunters. Basically if you don't hunt and do nothing but mess about on the forum then only you can see this thread along, with the other computer hunters. There's alot of people reading this...
  17. So you'll want your account deleting then?
  18. Fellman has now been warned. Reason For This Warn Adjustment: For Being A Messer And Afraid Of The Spade
  19. Well spotted. Thanks for the heads up! Link removed.
  20. You could ban lots of things and it wouldn't stop the criminals. The kneejerk after Dunblane was so short sighted it didn't even scratch the surface of what was to come. They decided to ban handguns 4 years after the collapse of Communism in the old USSR. They banned guns just as millions of them were being offloaded onto the market, after the combined armed forces of the Eastern Bloc decided that everything must go... then they appear in Britain. The point of licensing wouldn't be to stop air gun crime. As it won't. As you've rightly said only the morons would carry and they'll do whatev
  21. In your opinion, of course! See the pellet? What gun was that in??
  22. V Mach do an excellent tuning kit that'll take the rifle to about 16 ft/lbs. They're classed as FAC, over here in the UK, but air gun shops like Blackpool Air Rifles will export to customers from over seas. They'll make a stock HW77 feel much better than standard. You'll probably benefit from the extra length of the barrel, with more power, but there still won't be much in it. Let us know what you decide!
