  1. If Donnie cuts the funding to the WHO do you know who will become the largest funder by default? Bill Gates!
  2. David Icke is a special kind of crackpot as he believes in all of the conspiracy theories! Bless him!
  3. Alright! I said 'f*ck it' and looked him up. Instead of listing his medical qualifications, lists of honours, the medical books and text books he's written, the articles he's had published in respected medical journals, and plethora of awards and respect he has in his field I'll just link to the Wikipedia page for him to save a ton of time. The guy personifies expert. Read it or don't. I know it's not swaying you. You, Francie, and I, on the other hand, have medical qualifications that begin and end with an internet connection and an overactive imagination so forgive me if I side with a s
  4. You might be surprised, mate. Since Guzmán was imprisoned there are now seven cartels slaughtering each other for access to the trafficking routes. The Sinaloan cartel controlled 50% of the trafficking through Mexico and now the jefe is behind bars there's serious interest in control of what he dominated since the 80's. Serious money and the brutality is escalating. No mate but part of our briefing is due the fallout down south. Specifically this incident which only briefly made the news. The proximity of it to the US. The sophistication of the operation and the fallout still occurring
  5. F*ck*n 'ell Ted! Didn't some bloke get tazed the other day for being outside without a license? When are they going to let these emergency powers be?
  6. Took them a few years ago but I can still hear the cracked ribs.
  7. It's a light distraction from the security consultants meeting on escalating cartel violence south of the border... That's similar to how I heard it too. But like @kanny said more playing the odds than hit and miss. Vaccineman bad!
  8. My understanding of the flu shot is that it's a pasteurized version of the original virus that the body creates antibodies to. Over time I reckon this is what will happen with C19 and it'll go the same way.
  9. Firstly, can you handle it? I don't know if I can and I don't want to infect myself to find out. Secondly, herd immunity. Maybe you and I can handle it. What about your family? Your neighbours? Your work colleagues? Bloke in the pub? Old fella you bumped into at the local Spar? Can they handle it? Many carriers of the illness are asymptomatic and could theoretically infect a large number of people that they come into contact with. Can they handle it? Is it fair to test their ability to handle it seeing that this went global in 4 months? That's without including people that can't have vac
  10. Can't like so have a The Vulcan racks aren't cheap but I'll never have to shell out another penny. Buy once cry once!
  11. Fair one and that's genuinely encouraging but it does matter about side effects. It does matter about whether it will actually work on a large scale. This is a global issue. We simply will not be able to dose everyone in a small amount of time. Production will have to be ramped up and unfortunately that means the costs will too. One of your arguments against vaccines is the side effects. Why would this differ? Great. But Nevada's governor has already had to issue an executive order to limit the outpatient supply to those with actual medical conditions to prevent panic buying and s
  12. Agreed but if this new treatment doesn't work it won't change the outcome, will it? If it does great but if everyone strips the shelves of an untested product to stave off an illness they may not have where will those that need it get the drugs from? Seriously. How many NHS hospitals don't have enough masks for the frontline while people are already buying up the woefully small amount in circulation? You're right about time being critical though. A lot in intensive care patients don't have time and encouraging people to buy drugs, pushing up the demand and diminishing the supply, to
  13. How many are tested total, or tested to see if they're safe overall? They're all tested before manufacture (overall) but I sincerely doubt they test every single one before they go into a vial. Same with pills. I can understand what you're saying but why increase your risk of contracting the illness trying to buy something we don't know whether it will even treat the illness never mind cure the illness? It seems you're convinced it works. No? Are you willing to just take handfuls for the sake of it or would you rather see some actual widespread evidence before rushing out to Boots fo
  14. IF! If it works great! Let's ramp up the cure and distribute it in so we can get a grip on this virus! But using a small test group to the claim of a definitive cure could be dangerous, at worst, and could be ineffective entirely. We know it works fantastic against malaria but we still have to test it against C19 and then we'll know whether the greater good outweighs the risk of using it. The mild side effects of the drug mimic the symptoms of C19 and the serious side effects can cause irreparable harm. And that's before we start on the average bloke trying to dose themselves for a v
  15. Ironmind's dip bars that fit to their Vulcan squat racks are good!
  16. There's certainly an addition to the list for sure but let's not turn this into another Donnie thread. His actions during all of this are for another day when this sh*t has blown over!
  17. Thanks for that. Did you read the one I posted above about the jury still being out? There's one here from Le Monde reporting that unexplained deaths, ventricular arrhythmias and other serious cardiac events are presenting in patients taking hydroxychloroquine therapeutically, casting further doubt on it's suitability as a treatment for C19. Maybe one of our members that could translate the French article into English could give us a summary? Honestly don't know what the craic is. It was sent to help with a potential overflow from NY hospitals and whether it's doing that I don't know.
  18. They are but would you agree this pandemic is a 'bigger fish to fry' kinda scenario? Who would you start with? China for the outbreak and misleading the world? Several first world leaders who were woefully unprepared and who have also downplayed the risks? Several first world governments for not moving quickly enough due to bureaucracy? Millions of people panic buying and flouting the measures put in place to stem/slow the virus? Where do we start?
  19. @Francie @scotty12 The evidence is not stacking up for hydrochlorquine as a treatment for C19. Thoughts?
  20. @W. Katchum Drone footage from Hart Island NY showing a mass grave. If it's fake it's a good one as that's where NY traditionally buries unclaimed bodies. Article states they've gone from around 25 a week to 25 a day there which sounds plausible on the face of it. Additional Link From NPR in the US.
  21. Anecdotal. Everyone is preparing for the worst but New York city has a third of all of the US cases. Dunno mate. You're nearer New York than I am. You mean this one? Sources? What about Beijing? Couldn't give a flying f*ck how they're handling it to be honest. We've had less than 50 deaths in our state but they're using the time the social distancing methods are buying them to get set up for the worst. Are you calling it fake news or trying to wrap your head around the potential devastation is could cause like everyone else?
  22. You don't have to, mate. Testing to my understanding is a cheek swab. You don't need masses of equipment. Plus I wouldn't leave anything lying around outside if three lasses from Facebook are able to break in. Our local hospital has it's entire car park filled with tents. They're all empty but you can drive through and they'll test you while you sit in your car. Like McDonalds. It seems like they're damned if don't look like they're doing anything and damned if they try to prepare for it. All we know is what it does to densely populated areas and this looks like they're trying to be
  23. If we look at how it ripped through Wuhan, Italy, Spain, and New York, they're just trying to be prepared based on what they've seen and how they'll attempt to tackle it. It's taken them since January to respond and at least it appears they might have an idea on how they'll tackle it. Spoke to one of our New York lads on Friday and he said they're loading bodies onto refrigerated trucks while they figure out how to dispose of them. Grim listening. Honestly. I'd rather they were empty than looking how to staff crematoriums.
