  1. Lounging at Brize Norton for tea and medals!
  2. That's just it, mate. I don't generally make those kind of conclusions based on the limited information provided. South Korea diverted a lot of public money into monitoring pandemics as they've been hit several times in the last 10 years alone. They were arguably a lot more prepared than the west. I also read this article on the pandemic in India and it touches on a lot more probables than HCQ alone, although it is an opinion piece it does raise more questions than answers. TL:DR There are a lot more factors in play than the use of HCQ. Question for yourself and @Francie. As you're b
  3. Yeah they've got a massive population. Not sure on the number though. Are you suggesting their low number of reported cases is because of HCQ?
  4. It's for charity, mate!
  5. Same this side. It's multiple trillions and growing. No oversight! No worries!
  6. That is bold! I read that both Britain and Germany have approved human trials but yeah a million shots won't be cheap at this stage.
  7. When the govt signed off on the stimulus bill they immediately turned around and said they won't be enforcing the conditions the democrats requested to stop corporate bailouts. They're literally bailing out corporations within days. I was just reading that this morning but haven't got much further than the headlines. I understand the desperation but I'm one of the few that thinks that certain criticism of certain departments is not only warranted but entirely justified.
  8. Shame the fed has already panic bought millions of units on the reconnaissance of a reality TV host.
  9. Latest study of hydroxychloroquine in 368 US veterans showed more deaths than patients with just standard care. "Conclusion: In this study, we found no evidence that use of hydroxychloroquine, either with or without azithromycin, reduced the risk of mechanical ventilation in patients hospitalized with Covid-19. An association of increased overall mortality was identified in patients treated with hydroxychloroquine alone. These findings highlight theimportance of awaiting theresults of ongoing prospective, randomized, controlled studies before widespread adoption of these drugs."
  10. He'd fit in anywhere! Looks like this years finale will be between two dementia patients. Why not have a triple threat match?
  11. +3 on that one. I was a bit disappointed in Gerry Adams though. He didn't look a bit like Pierce Brosnan.
  12. To be fair it's better than anything I've ever seen on Fox or CNN.
  13. My MIL had major surgery before Christmas and she hasn't been out of the house since then. Even though we're comparatively low risk at the moment we can't take the chance. I've got two elderly neighbours that are in the same boat. They're all over 70 with massive underlying health issues and they're all scared sh*tless. Best we can do is run the errands and speak to them over the fence. I'm on speed-dial in case they have a mischief. My mam and dad are 5000 miles away locked in the house. They were due to fly over and stay with me May and June but are currently waiting for their money back on
  14. Sounds like he's sufficiently prepared for any of the western government jobs!
  15. Rocketman In 'Grave Danger' After Surgery... Rumours circulating that he's brain dead...
  16. El Infierno is a dark comedy... Look it up and see what you think before taking the plunge! You Were Never Really Here is an Amazon original on Prime.
  17. The Mexican one was alright. They took a few liberties with it, which was a little disappointing, but well made none the less. If the original carries on as it has so far it'll be a belter but I'm only a few episodes in. Ever see El Infierno?
  18. I'll put it on the to do list. I've just started the original Narcos. So far so good.
  19. I enjoyed it considering it was a documentary. We only ever saw the news aftermath but it was interesting seeing what tipped him over the edge. Joaquin Phoenix. He recovers trafficked and kidnapped kids... Worth a go? I've seen it in the recommended lists but not sure whether to give it a go.
  20. ... and so it begins!
  21. Watched You Were Never Really Here on Amazon. Dark as f*ck. Fans of Taxi Driver will appreciate it.
  22. I second that but I honestly don't think the opposition would have faired much better. For that matter the Trump administration is getting sh*t over it but I don't think there's an Obama, Bush or Clinton that wouldn't have been caught with their pants down over this one, either. The bureaucracy is such that no matter which system you're viewing it from there can always be room for improvement. I can't remember who said it earlier in the thread but the WHO is coming in for a lot of stick and I'm trying to figure out why? They sounded the alarm in January and then repeatedly until it landed
  23. Hard to call on the timeline but I'm quite please the way UT has handled it so far. Salt Lake area is the worst hit but lockdowns are confined to 3 counties and statewide is advisory. We're one of the 8 states that hasn't gone full lockdown. We have a lot of businesses still op but we're hurting like everyone else. This part of the state is very sparsely populated which has helped tremendously. I don't know anyone personally that has suffered from it and we've only had one recorded C19 death in the 5 counties that make up Southern UT as of this morning. I've noticed that Michigan is ge
