Someone dumped a load of shiners in one of the reservoirs and they introduced the wipers to knock the numbers down. Some decent sized fish but 12lb+ would get you a state record! Good size considering the size of the lake. We fished for stripers in Lake Powell and had some in the high teens low twenties but that's an impressive body of water for the gear we were carrying. A sh*t day fishing sure beats a good day at work!

Doesn't take a ton of money, mate. I'll put you a bed up when you get here, until you get settled in!

That's less than 10 miles from where I'm sat, believe it or not. That water is mainly rainbow trout with a few cutthroats now and again. Our summer climate gets really hot so pike and muskie don't fair well. You have to go a little further north but there is some quality pike and muskie fishing to be had if you're willing to drive a couple of hours, and to be honest on our roads it's easy to get to if you avoid the peak tourist season. 30 miles south we have some superb bass lakes. 20 north we have state record wipers that'll break gear if you hook into one wrong. As someone that's lost a

All the time, mate. I'm pretty fond of saying that "You have the right to be armed, but the duty to be trained" when we're doing firearms training or speaking about it generally. Either way the responsibility doesn't negate the right in any circumstance. In this thread about the shooting the criminal use of firearms has been used as the basis for what will become some of Canada's most draconian firearms legislation if it sticks. Numerous laws were broken throughout and the most poignant now is that this bloke obtained all the firearms that he used to commit the crime illegally. How do you pass

Varies from state to state. That's all the same place and you can fish rivers and reservoir. Even ice fish it in the winter. Few hours west from @Wolfdog91 but whatever you want to fish, you can.

Personally I don't think they could orchestrate a piss up in a brewery but it's definitely a good result for them because it divides everyone and takes the attention away from what a sh*t dob they've done. Absolutely agree. When you look at the cost of living, static and frankly sh*t wages, parents are either out grafting all hours or demanding free sh*t from the state it takes away that quality time and the vacuum is filled by whatever media they is being screened, or downloaded.

With all the shenanigans going on in 2020 I re-watched Red Dawn. One of the finest cold war propaganda films ever made only edged out by Rocky IV.

I was curious about that too. Down here "machine guns" are Title 2 firearms that require an expensive federal permit. They're not commonly owned due to the cost of the federal permit. Many Brit shooters might be surprised to know that suppressors are subject to regulation and also require federal paperwork.

Hard to call this early in. There's a lot of departments releasing news of policy change. Minneapolis for example, have announced they're banning certain restraint techniques and Denver PD have been temporarily banned from using "projectiles and chemical weapons on peaceful protesters" which is what happened in DC for Donnie's Kodak moment. Other photo ops almost look forced and like PR stunts. It'll be a while before anyone can quantify any change, if there is indeed anything to quantify.

They don't believe they really need them but they believe they have the right to own them. The second amendment spawned from the revolutionary war where they fought off the British soldiers and went from colony to independent nation. It persists because it's a right not a privilege. Not sure how it differs in Canada. I'm sure Ted has a better idea but this latest round of aggro is troubling from a civil liberties perspective.

Hard to call because I've been stuck at work for most of this. LVMPD officer was shot in the head at last weeks riots and is still critical. They've been a lot more alert, for failure of a better word, but they're dealing with a lot bigger city down there. Ironically they've lost the body camera footage. I'd say the thinking men among them are being a lot more cautious.

Update on that one, mate. Two suspended without pay pending the investigation. The ERT have all resigned but there is conflicting information. One says it's in solidarity with their suspended colleagues. The other from one of the team saying that the police unions refuse to back them anymore. The old fella is still critical in hospital. If that's how they're doing their jobs off camera they should be concerned.

RCMP confirms the gunman obtained his guns illegally.

Primarily because it doesn't effect anyone outside of the Native reservations. It isn't news. No one gives a sh*t.

Covid funny for you. Nevada and California were locked down. In southern Utah we haven't been. When they open the local reservoir, after the initial panic, the tourists flooded in from Nevada and Cali. Some of these people would have spent hours driving here. The place was so full they blocked the roads parking all of their cars. A woman from Las Vegas decided to jump from the rocks into the pool below. Seriously injures herself. They call the paramedics to get her but the roads are all blocked so they can't get to her. In comes the Life Flight helicopter! Now you all have the NHS so you'

I thought it was hilarious, mate! Seen a lot of Rollins' stuff since Black Flag and I don't think he was acting at all!

Had that one in the list since it was released on Netflix. Looking forward to it when I get a second! Seen that one a couple of times. Even managed to get my son to watch it. Definitely Marmite but it's a belter. +2 A fitting end to the saga! Last one I watched was The Outsider on Netflix. Jared Leto. I enjoyed it.

My friends and neighbours in the Paiute tribe would contest that! I understand what you're saying but there's always an alternate perspective. Many civilizations have risen and fallen it's all been about conquest in one way or another. Britain spent 300+ years forcing it's opinions on the globe which is why the USA exists today. Globalization has always been a thing it's just accelerated as we've improved the technology.

Do you get steel screen doors over there?

Is there truth in the headline that police have handed out over 14,000 lockdown breach fines? If true I can't help but wonder who invented the idea that simultaneously removing someone's job and then penalizing them for going out is extremely counter productive from a criminal justice point of view.

I'm at the point where I feel almost obligated to point that out. I'm that much of an annoying c*nt in real life too! Too many that call for the censorship complain when it happens to them and, if we look a little further to east, this whole global mess might have been mitigated to some degree if the people that tried to expose it weren't crushed by the state. We're lucky we live in a society where feelings get hurt and to some that's an outrage. Aren't we glad we don't live in a place where having a difference of opinion can get you disappeared!
