Yeah that's a good point actually, why did you camouflage summot' that will be used at night? haha.
-
Well done mate, shame about the weather eh! Oh and fook me, I know someone that is the spitting image of you round this neck of the woods lol.

Welcome mate, do a search on any questions you have and if you can't find anything that answers any questions or doubts you have just post a new Topic, you'll get plenty of good help and advice.

thanks p carter for starting topic i would of bin longer deciding if ya had not posted good topic Don't worry about it pal, I reckon I might go with S.A.C.S an' all for the same reasons as what you said, they seem to be the best choice, if it gets further down the line and I'm not happy for any reason, I can always switch I suppose.. Anyway thanks for the replies lads, you've been a big help.

This year's General Licenses 2008
P.Carter replied to Coney's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I think i can see what you mean with your question, and i hope this goes some way to answering that question. What i have done is to make myself a 'shooting file' - basically a folder which has clear A4 pockets within it. I then tend to print off a copy of each of the four licences, and put them into their own idivual pockets, along with a pocket containing detailed, self researched and constructed information about my shoots and the permission form relating to each of them. Also included in this file system is proof of my shooting insurance, as well as a couple of safety type notices to -
This year's General Licenses 2008
P.Carter replied to Coney's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
So could you just print all the General Licenses off, have them with you and if you are confronted about it, show them all? Basically, so you always have an excuse to shoot birds, no matter what it is protecting or helping.. Cheers, Paul. -
Biggest pests going them things, especially if you have racing pigeons like my old man, and they're hanging around all the time, they've had a quite a few of his eggs in the past, the little b*****ds. Nice shooting anyway pal.

Done a search on the subject of Insurance for when I finally get out shooting and found a few different topics on 3 options to go with, as far as Insurance and Membership goes. Could anyone shed any light on what is the best option to go with, B.A.S.C, S.A.C.S or B.A.S.A, because as I understand it, S.A.C.S are the cheapest and B.A.S.C are the most expensive, but offer the best cover... The second question is, will having any criminal convictions affect how much you pay, or if you are even eligible for membership with all 3 providers? Thanks, any help is always greatly appreciated, sorry

Welcome mate, seems to be a lot of forum members from North East, from Yorkshire myself. It's grim up north.

Looks like your in the mirror opposite situation as I am mate, I have access to a nice bit of land, but waiting for pay day 'til I can sort a gun out. All the best though, don't give up mate, took me a while to get it, but the permission came through eventually. I thought it would take longer though, that's why I started looking a while before I would of had the money to Falk out for a gun. If I got permission 2 weeks later as I got payed it would of been ideal, but I'm not one to complain. Just a b*****d having all that land to do as I please on, and actually do summot' properly and legal

Oh yeah course, I won't ask you to recommend any decent one's because I assume it's all down to personal preference and what gun your firing them from, and I reckon' I've asked enough of you lot already lol. PM mate.

Why's that mate, may I ask? Thanks for all your help, as I said before it is MUCH appreciated and I will take it all on board, I'll ask about, and do my own finding out on the best Airgun dealers in my area, wait 'til I get payed and take it from there, ask if I can hold a few, see if they feel oright to hold.. etc. Also, with me being 17 still, will I need to go into a shop with an appropriate adult, I.e. 18 or over?

Charging equipment isn't included in the 600, that's JUST the rifle and scope, I've allocated about a grand or there abouts to spend on Hunting gear, and I'm setting 600 aside for the rifle/scope, and the rest on accessories and Clothing (Camo). And I am classing Charging gear as an accessory. Do you think I ought to put my budget on rifle/scope up a bit, the reason I've allocated so much for clothing is because I'll want quite a bit, making sure I'm warm and dry.

I reckon that DVD will get a lot of interest off an all, how much is it going for like?
-
Thanks for the advice. As regards to your question I am keeping an open mind, if I can find a second hand gun/scope for the right amount of money, in good nick.. etc then I will take it, failing that I will just purchase new. The obviously advantage of it being new is that I will get warranty and it will be in good nick, the disadvantages are obviously the price, as with anything that's new. Also, if I buy second hand, and it's over the internet I'm gunna' have to take people's word's for the condition and obviously with me being new to the whole thing I might get ripped off, or not know wha

All the best lads. P.S. that artwork looks good, a lot of talent there.

Right, I have just got permission to shoot on a piece of land within spitting distance from my house, that's about 280 acres in size. The terrain of the land varies from mostly short grassland to Marshy, boggy areas, to long grassland about waist height. I'll be out shooting mostly mornings and evenings, but sometimes in the daytime, so a range of different times, from 5am - 9/10pm. (Any suggestions about what time is best, and what weather conditions are best are much appreciated, as I said I am new to all this) I'm from East Yorkshire, have no previous shooting experience, other than mess

What did she say, she's a nurse or summot', her spellings not up to much for one is it, neither is her punctuation or grammar, I thought you had to have a few brain cells to get that kind of job like... IMO we can do what we like, we are the top of the food chain so we need to take advantage. It's not even worth trying to justify it to someone like that, you'd be wasting your time and energy, people like that are so naive it's unbelievable. Just ignore her and laugh at the fact that you've clearly hit a nerve.

Why do people reply to their own threads with 'bump' what does it mean like?
-
Nice one, where abouts are you from in Yorkshire pal?
-
Not a bad idea, don't think my old lady would be best pleased like.

Great Videos. It's a shame at the end though that he was accused of whatever it was he was meant to have done and eventually left the Military because of it.

Hi everyone, My names Paul and I'm from Yorkshire, I'm 17 years old and come from a big family of Hunters, or ex-hunters. As I said I'm only 17 and haven't really experienced much in the way of Hunting, apart from a little ferreting I used to do with my big brother when I was very young, my lack of experience is quite surprising really considering I come from a family of keen hunters and Dog men... My family have been doing it for years. I've only recently became interested after I was around when my uncle and my father where talking about shooting. I've also recently discovered, much to m
