    Took the pup and the master out for a mooch today just to see whats about and we found a nice big dog fox laid out sunbathing. The pups 7mths old now and coming on very well..

    yes i can shoot them but for the numbers i can get with snaring its much better even with the others taking then

    On one of the bits of land i hunt the land is divided by a fence between the two farms!!! Now all the rabbits come from the other farmer (anti hunting) The rabbits come each night and feed on my bit of land now this is where the problem starts as i snare the fence its ok as long as the rabbits die on my side of the fence they are left alone!! If they die on the other side of the fence and he or his workers see them first they pick them up and keep the rabbits and the snares but tell me they have not seen or touched anything (I’ve seen them myself walking back to the tractor with a still kickin

    First off Ideation im not going to get in to a slanging match over what i post and what i dont post thats up to me but my post was ment for infomation only as in there are still some good areas left and if people want to travel all that way to TRY and find the same areas we found best of luck to them cause we traveled over 300 miles last week and trust me dorset is one big area.

    Hopefully it will turn out to be one of those seasons where theres loads of rabbits up and down the country

    Well for the last week i have been touring on my motor bike all around the south west from bristol down to minehead to lands end and the all the way up to weymouth and dorset etc etc and ive come across loads of land that is packed with rabbits. We found a sloping field in dorset that must have had over 100 holes right out in the middle of the field other fields that dont have hedges anymore just banks of soil with loads of rabbit holes all the way along them. So in the next few weeks i shall be loading up the truck and going back down and be doing some door knocking cause from what ive seen

    only the yanks can do it bigger and better than anybody else lol granted they did show them being shot and killed but they could have made a better program out of it

    This weeks countrymans weekly has a story about breeding a bed x whippet and the story says you can get a first cross smooth coated pup so it is possible
