If all fails put two pints of maggots though his letterbox and wait for the phone call in a few weeks when he has thousands of meat flies and needs a pest controller again double the cost and money up front ..

That's looking good Harry Make sure you stick some more progress photos Up as you go .. That first bit of land I looked at the other day was crap there are rabbits there but very hard to work with ferrets but she did pass me on to her mate on a farm around the corner but as yet I've not had the time to go look at it but if it's any good we will hit it as soon as all the green dies back and we can see the hole..

Before you spend loads of dosh on if make sure it's not been over filled or if it's been stored for a long time somebody may have filled up the pot to stop it seizing
-
Let us know how you get on .... It's a good bit of land and I wouldn't be surprised if others aren't having a sneaky hunt on it
-
not a problem mate I'm off to just look tomorrow and see how they want them got rid off so as long as it all goes well we should have a good few days out this season glad you finally got some decent perm mate. Is it local? I was going to take a walk around my perm near us to see what the numbers were like soon.No it's not local about a hours drive but if it turns out good it will be worth it... When was the last time you did your perm ??I was down the far end of your land coming back from the pub about a month ago and there were lots of young on the pavement feeding on the grass verge..

Had the call today I've been waiting for !!!! the first visit to 22 acres of rabbit infested small holding and the best bit is she's had a talk to the farms nest door who also have loads of rabbits and theve said to pop around and introduce myself and they will show me there boundaries ... The seasons looking good if I remember I will take some photos
-
No not at the moment they are just happy that they now have somebody to start sorting them out as the rabbits haven't been touched for years so they've just overran both farms that I've now got permission on but she did say all the farmers local to her have a rabbit problem so fingers crossed
-
I intend to mate it's been a long time since I've had some good ground with out looking over my shoulder lol
-
At long last I've just picked up some cracking permission !!! Two farms next to each other that are totally infested with rabbits and the bonus is she knows all the other farms in the area that rabbit problems that they need help with ... The season looks goooooooooood

I was up in Manchester this week and on the road going in to town the fields were packed with rabbits I've not seen that many for ages all the hedges between the fields were just holes everywhere I only wish I lived closer to it ...So it seems they are still about in large numbers but just all over like the were two years ago ..
-
I'm not sure what it is mate but I've lost my two and I belong to a few other ferreting /hunting forums and there's been loads on there that have had ferrets just die for no reason

What's your views on these new viruses that are killing our wild life !! We were having a chat with a few old boys who used to ferret many years ago when rabbits were in every field and our conversation turned to the lack of rabbits now Do you think there's a link between the rabbit virus the new virus that's killing dogs and this new illness / virus that's been making heathy just ferrets die ?

It must be rossi last chance over the next two seasons to win the championship that way he can finish on top of his game.. He will need to have some big balls if he's going to hold off the young guns so I wish him luck as he's been good for the sport ....
