  7. It took us a good 30mins of clearing to get in to this set .we put the 2 ferrets in and waited about 15 mins but nowt came out the ferrets didnt want to go back down and had no intrest in any of the holes but looking at the set i would have put money on getting a few out ..But no worries we'v done all the hard sets now all the rest of the wood is easy and if their not at home in this set they will be at home in the others as on the lamp we see between 30 to 50 rabbits run in to the woods on all four sides of the wood so we know they are there..

  12. £109.00 for 2 visits i think your being ripped off the last time my ferret had a lump the vet gave my ferret a x ray there and then and found a small bit of bone had gone down the side of its gum so as the ferret was put out for the x ray the vet removed the bone there and then gave it a shot of A/bs and that was that it cost me £78.00 total. The vet did say it happens quit offten with ferrets as they eat so much dead food .

They do cost alot but when you add up the time and ferrets you save its not that bad and if they last as long as my old mrk 1 did i will be more then happy .When i think back to when i first started ferreting it was with jills only and a big hob just in case of any lay ups under ground we never had locators then just good working ferrets and a lot of crossed fingers we never lost our best ferrets......

  16. The correct way to hang game ... HANGING Most Game is best after hanging - that is leaving or hanging in cool conditions before plucking or skinning. This should be for a minimum two days to a maximum of three weeks in winter. I would tend to settle on seven days provided the weather is not hot. Game tends to be tougher than other meat or poultry as the animals were wild and muscles were used more in the process of survival. Hanging will help tenderise the meat and develop a characteristic gamey flavour. This is caused by enzymic and bacterial action. The longer you hang it the stronger the
