Its very unfair to put a muzzle on a working ferret as under ground he will meet rats stouts foxes etc etc and he will need to fight to stay alive as you stand a much bigger risk of losing him when he gets hooked up on roots in you case its a much bigger risk as you have no locator .Tne best thing you can do is get yourself a jill and use her most of the time and on large setts stick them both in together so the rabbits dont give the one ferret the run around .As for ferrets retreiving you may get the odd ferret pull the odd rabbit out of a hole but that will be more luck then training.
  4. open paint then open your pic then click on image on the top line then click on resize where it says on the top lot 100% change them to say 40% each but only on the top 2 only then save and upload ....This is the most easy way to do it hope this helps you thanks kev
  5. If shes as good as you say why sell her for a £100 ? most lurcher men keep a good dog to help bring on a pup as it makes life easy .if she's as good as you say and you want a good home then you need to put your price up as £100 is nowt for a good dog i'v paid more then that for a pup .

  7. I Just wanted to show you some of the long net baskets iv just finished making. I had some spare time and some odd bits of rod hanging around so i got on the net and had a look for some pics of some baskets and just copyed them all i got to do now is find some netting for the basket.
  8. The lamps are much the same but get the belt system as you can walk all night with it . Iv got both shoulder and belt type but after 2 hours or so you know you have the shoulder one on Hope this helps kev
  9. Iv got a 25 yard net aswell as the 100 yard so iv just made some baskets for them so they will soon be quick set nets

We spent a few hours on some new permission today just looking around and came across some fantastic burrows so just to keep the old farmer happy we said we would pop the ferret down a few holes just to see whats about plus i wanted to try my 100yard long net out as iv never done it before .My sons young bedlinton/whippet took to the net like duck to water and never once got stuck in it .We brought my old lurcher out of retirerment so he could mark a few holes for us but the young one did just as good a job.   13. All you need is a starter motor a cable drum a speed controler (maplins) and a 12volt bat make is as small as you can as they are a bitch to carry to far .iv made a few over the years for a few clubs and once you have made your first its easy and you will see where you can improve your next
  14. 93.5 rabbits each dog ( Total 187 ) I think somebodys been pulling your plonker mate or you been smoking some funny fags .I'v done some lamping in my time and iv had some good dogs and iv been out with lads who i think have had some fantastic dogs and we have ran the dogs to a stand still and we never got close to 100 rabbits per dog the only that you will pull a 100 rabbit in one night is if 75% of them are blind .....

  20. I dont ride myself but my kids ride with the berkeley hunt i just follow and watch
  21. As long as the bones aren't cooked, they will be fine. I used to give my lot raw chicken wings or turkey necks. To be on the safe side i cut the meat off for the dogs as for what meats on them it only takes a min or two to do and it saves a big vets bill
