    a little black n tan. everyone called em border/lakies then but she was bred from old nuttal/buckbrey lines. or so i was told. never really used her to her potential done the opposite to most on here and went to russells later she was bred by a well known terrier breeder in preston in the early eighties

    i agree its in the dogs makeup to bite hard. its a fact that even within certain breeds there are lines that bite down harder than others. even though the head size is no different. its a fact hower that if you shorten the muzzle length you weaken the bite power. having said that some borders do have a powerfull bite.

    i agree they arnt the fastest. but its swings and roundabouts. if you lose at one end you gain at the other Ozzy has never been laid up since i got him. and that includes him being hit by a mondao how many lurchers are as hardy as a good working dog should be. able to work week in week out year in year out BUILT TO PULL A CART FAST ENOUGH TO CATCH A RABBIT.

    I WOULD SAY THATS A FAIR COMMENT . BUT MOST OF IT WOULD FIT ANY WORKING BREED OF TERRIER. how often do you hear the comments whats he off /whats the breeding/what lines he off. on russell/laky/patt threads. the above named breeds sell REGULARLY. for silly sums of money. how many big names are bandied about the shows. to sell dogs / or there offspring/ stud fee. if there was no money in WORKINGTERRIERS IN GENERAL. this would happen less luckily there are genuine folk in all breeds that have high standards and value work above everything and strive to improve there chosen ter

    he's around 4 and a half and stands at 23 inch to the shoulder. he is a good knock about lurcher. and retreves minced to feet
