Hi Bigad. I really need to get one of those adaptors. Can you please post a link to where you got it from.

I've had the cheap sony e700 cam and the one from sure24 is 5 times the camera and worth every cent. EG. 50y effective shooting range with the cheap cam. 200y plus with the sure24 cam. The one from sure24 has a menu system where you can alter the internal setting to better suit NV shooting. And yes the lads at NVUK have put the sure24 cam into the NS50 with fantastic results. View out to 700y easy

Dedal 200 Nv. Help I Need More Magnification.
clivej replied to clivej's topic in Night Vision & Thermal
Just to bump this up to get a reply -
I have a Dedal 200 NV scope that I use for spotting with. The IR on the Dedal 200 doesn't work so I have a Nightmaster 800 IR fitted to it for illumination and I can see the foxes out past 200y using this setup. I really want to use it on my rifle as a scope for fox shooting. But I find there's just not enough magnification to take the longer shots. I can see the fox OK but at 100y it's a small enough target to take a humane shot. Is there anywhere I can get a lens that will double (or more) the magnification?? I'm sure the objective is 100mm.

Deer Head Mounting. No Idea But I've Made A Start.

I know, I know but i didn't have 500 to spend on it -
Hi all, I shot this nice Fallow a while back and as this is likely to be my best Fallow ever I'm keeping the head. Now I have no way of boiling it off and don't fancy doing it anyway so I have it hanging up, neck upwards, between branches in a tree in the back garden, a big garden backing onto farm land. High enough that foxes won't get to it. I was/I'm just doing a skull and antlers head to hang on my shed. The head was cut off at the neck just behind the ears. My intention is to leave it there until it is picked clean over the summer months. Will this work???? Should I have skin

Great gun and worth the wait to get it. Did you look at the 16" varmint version good gun as well. Here's mine with a Bushnell 10x40 3200 elite with the tactical turrets and custom stock. SAK mod and Harris 13-27" bi-pod. It shoots 1/2" @50m all day
-
As above but add in a couple of up clicks and you will be almost there. Then after you have got your zero to the range that you want to shoot at RESET the turret reading to zero, NOT the turrets, just the dial reading the zero. Then you have your scope zeroed and can dial in up or down for different ranges and return to your zero every time.

This is what I now have, got the license for it last November. Sako 75 varmint (laminated) in 308, it should have had the laminated stock but came with the synthetic stock as shown. But this is what I bought off e bay for the Sako 75 308 a laminated stock. I'm going to get it pillar bedded first before putting it on the rifle.

And does that Remington R15 shoot well I know I have shot it. Well done D and John for the story. John I'll bring my 308 up soon and let those foxes have a taste of the 150gr Federal Fusions.

Heres my couple of guns: CZ 22lr Style with a custom stock, Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40 Tactical and SAK mod. Shoots as good as it looks , no even better than that. CZ 223 Varmint with the HS stock with a Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24x50 Tactical. Best 4 shot group was 28mm @300m. Newest edition Sako 75 308 Varmint with the flutted barrel. My stalking gun. The stock was swopped out for the synthetic stock that is piller bedded and the bolt knob changed over for the one you now see. Bushnell Elite 3200 4-12x40. Touching groups @100m. All up weight = 8 3/4lb.

I was walking along trying to put in my ear plugs, holding my gloves and shooting sticks when they ran out ahead of us. I still think that it's like Dwighets shoot as he was here for years and said for him to take the shot. He said off you go to me. So I drop all the bits but set up the tri-sticks and get on target and bang. You can see the bullet hit just behind the shoulder. My heart was thumping all right and I was sure I had the kill. But when Dwighet got to where we thougth the Sika fell there was no sign of it. Quick look around and still no show. My heart dropped. We walked o

Well I got out with my new (to me) Sako 75 in .308 today to Kerry. I received the license last Tuesday and collected the gun, fitted the mounts and scope on Wednesday, and went to the range on Thursday to zero. Using Federal Fusion 150gr I was getting at best ragged holes, and worst 1" groups @100. Zeroed @175m ish to give me 1 1/2" high @100m and 1 1/2" low @220m. So 3" point blank range out to 220m. The rifle is a Sako 75 varmint with the heavy flutted barrel that came with the laminated stock. The stock was swopped out for the Sako synthetic stock that has been pillar bedded, ot

Deker We only have Red, Falow and Sika here in Ireland. There are a few Mountjac but not many and they are to be shot on sight, no closed season for the Mountjac.

My license came in the post today and I collected the Sako 308 this morning. I have put the scope on and I'll zero it at the range on Thursday so I'm good to good. And if Friday's OK Dwighet and myself will be in Kerry at first light. Collin I chose the 308 because there is plenty of choice of bullets and it's a big round. I thought why get someting smaller. Everyone talks about the do's and don'ts, the what's and the why's, and so forth. So I just went for the biggest round that was popular.
-
Well Collin how are ya keeping. Dwighet has you hooked Ha HA HA after only one stakling outing. I got my letter of license granted and for payment for my sako 75 in 308 last week so with a bit of luck I'll have the license this week. I will try to get the scope mounted and zeroed ASAP and then it's off to Kerry for the Sika stags and Red/Sika does on Sunday with Dwighet if all goes well. Your more than welcome to try the 308 anytime you can get to me, the range or Kerry. When you down this way again heard you getting the beer in, put me down for 10 boxes. CJ from KK

Quietest .22 Rimfire - need to be covert.
clivej replied to dadioles's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I have and use a CZ style 22lr with a SAK mod and it's as good as any IMO. I even tried using the CZ 22 with a T8 on the end and the noise was the same, I must try doing that again to check again. Your still get the "putt" as the bullet goes off down range, but it's not offensive CZ Style with custom stock. -
Good shooting again John. What are you zeroed at for your 223 and can you remember the extra drop out to the bunnie @285y??
-
And thats what I do out to about 65m-75m as the scope is zeroed @50m/55y. But for the longer shots where you will have a little more of time I will range the target and dial in the value. OR as I now have the drop in inches from the chart I will hold over the correct amount of inches. Easy peasy.........................
