    i got the idea of straw insulation when i was driving home from work and saw a construction crew building a house with straw insulation. if it can insulate a persons house surely it can insulate my dogs house. Moss

    i was trying to build it a cost effective as possible. a bail of straw cost about $4 and you could insulate probally 10-15 for these houses with 1 bail plus bedding for the inside. Moss

    since its getting cold i desided to built some houses instead of buying them. cost about $25 in material and is higher quality than store bought. insulated with straw. just thought id share. moss

    kerosene has a lower freezing temp. than diesel but burns the same.

    during the cold months i always add kerosene. about 1/3 Moss.

    these fish fight like hell. this one is a baby almost pulled my wife in. took her almost 10min to land that little guy weighed about 14lbs. caught right off the beach. Moss

    hey oldnog im kinda i the same boat i have no hands on experience and would hate for something to happen to my dog because of my lack of experience. but i guess you have to start some where. i was told locator collar.

    a forum full of hunters and no one has any good advice for a beginner. hows the next generation of terriermen supposed to learn? trial and error?

    the man i got her from said she was a hard bitch. regulary takes coons like in the pic i have read many books and done alot of homework on terrier work. my biggest concern is not digging properly. scared to have a collapse. any digging tips?

    like i've said i am a beginner. any genuine advise with be appreciated the man who sold me the 5 year old female said get a locator collar and a shovel and she will teach me.

    i am new to this board but i thought i would share a couple of pics of my new dogs. one is a 5 year old proven bitch and the other is just a pup. the picture of the dog and coon are from the previoius owner. hope he doesnt mind.

    dogs dont truely need veg. i like to feed green tripe its predigested. ive fed raw for a few years and i think the most important part is the amount and quality of fats there gettin. forget about % every dog is different some need more some need less. JUST FEED THEM. MossMan

    i had a very similar problem. the pup would just yelp and yelp all night long. i had know i idea what to do, then my father who has been involved with dogs for a very long time told me to wrap a clock(the ones the tick) in a towel and place it under the bedding. it worked like a charm. everything was quited except that dang ticking. MossMan
