  1. My mate many years ago bred off David Jones billy if I remember correct, he went on a days hunt using alittle dog jelly tot?? He said top bloke and Russell's back then said was an absolute pleasure to be in his company an watch his dogs

  6. Well done Dave good day out it sounds anyhow. A was at Dundee on Friday we had a nice day no wind or nowt but the rabbits were reluctant as feck to bolt

  8. Done similar on drove 100 miles to my mate ink seen him the once this year took the pups out. Was along day from first light till half 3 only managed 17 but the banter was flowing the whole day
  9. Yeh cm he goes everywhere with me in some weather grown men would cry with lol. He likes the back filling an the putting the ferrets the gutting off the rabbits is proving rather messy but it's all a learning curve. Keeps him off the consoles

  11. Yeh mate was good no howling winds just enjoyed a wee day of strolling 10 degrees as well still mild. To be fair I just stood an watched the wee guy lay the nets an drop the ferrets. Upto my mates in Thursday to see pup from last years litter, hopefully bag a few more

Well today was to be dry spoke a farmer an sett off miles drive, got to the place first set was in a wall 2 quick bolts an a 3 foot dig for a 3rd follows by my oldest learning to back fill I thought defo onto a good day but wasn't to be. Finished the day with 5 but was good to be out with the dogs an my wee guy. Dry weather nice scenery the bunnies where just a bonus

  14. Got 4 mk1 boxes here all needing repaired think it's just the wheel on 2 off them. Anyone know of any decent folk still fixing them

I was gonae ask the same have u used a gun at the end off the dog or previously when broken thru lifted him regular or the other way round pushed him onto it which maybe the part he does t like or became familiar with. I reckon ul get a lot off answers some sensible some not but unless someone can see it happen u won't get the answer ur looking for here not fully, like the guys say try tying him back on a dig or leave him a little longer to settle in, give some encouragement on the break through there's lots of methods to try.   17. Had it 2 month ago both bitches were running rank rotten looked slow and lazy to a point the pup was doing my head at some easy chances. Left a week jus back road walking an back to it then it started to fall into place. At one point every man will go thru it some just don't like to admit it
  18. Yep them days are done been around that way and heading onto Forfar etc the numbers have long fallen. Have a mate in Caithness said the same. I spent all summer driving around knocking doors An when run out of fuel money spent the other half ringing farms trying Campbeltown etc all with the same outcome the rabbits don't seem to be here only on wee pockets now
  19. Al get it sorted mate meant to be going to see a farmer on Friday pending the weather to whether I make it up
  20. That's the mum in the pics aswell, about ten weeks ago she picked up a virus and lost a shed load off weight was drinking constantly and couldn't stop panting an had no energy. She's fine now and put a wee bit away over the last fortnight but still struggling to get the weight back on her property. The joys of dogs eh
