You honestly believe that?????????? Why what has he said that is wrong?,we bred several times from dogs with bad mouths if you know the history of the dogs involved it can be done with success,IE if both dog and bitch have a history of bad mouths on both sides don't do it,KNOW YOUR BREEDING.Better a good pup with a bad mouth than a bad pup with a good one.You were quick to ridicule the man's opinion(at least he gave one)but did not give one of your own.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WELL SAID If you read the thread properly then you will see that Bigbear1990 asked a question......."would a b

so it's ok to breed and give away a dog with crippling genetic/congenital faults of some kind as long as it's not pedigree and it's free?? that's very decent indeed vixen they are not pedigree dogs what part of that do you not understand they are workin terriers inbred dogs isn't that were you get the faults so why test any dog for a fault A pedigree is a piece of paper NOT a bone structure..............ANY dog can be born with a genetic fault, but some responsible people stop these faults in their tracks not keep breeding from them and make faults worse or add then to a fault f

Old values, do they still exist
vixen replied to Squirrel_Basher's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
There are old values with "some" terriermen/women still, BUT ................there are a lot more unhelpful people in the working dog world, they all want to be the best and have the best and be legends in their own mind, there is also the lies in the breeding of some dogs so no one unless you know them well is going to be honest and trustworthy, if a young person asks my honest opinion on a certain dog or line that i know then i give it, i have nothing to gain or lose ,and everyone has to start somewhere, as for writing books........some books are informative to young people starting off with -

Well not sure yet. There's been a bit of an outcry by dog walkers and locals as our presence deterred fly tippers and 'funny stuff'. Some are also unhappy the trees will be clear felled, scrub cleared, fenced, rented out and horses put on for grazing, but I suppose it'll be better than it being neglected. I've been offered three different bits of land but as the damage to the door has rendered the caravan insecure and uninhabitable (bit drafty) we're rather stuck. Old site needs a final clear, the chairs and a bulk of the other stuff were fly tipped and re-purposed by me, so I've arranged a

what defines a working terrier?
vixen replied to the durham digger's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
If everyone's terriers do what is expected then they are doing their job, don't let anyone on an internet hunting site let you think any less of your terriers for not doing exactly what they say or do with theirs, .........this is not the real world, there are a lot of bullshitters writing a good story on here, the real world is out with and enjoying your dogs regardless to what you choose to do with them, -

I have already stated why i will never buy the magazine again...........no name calling of any staff or degrading anyone (i'll leave that to the cmw describing poachers ), the cmw staff were not thinking of defending our way of life when they wanted a good hunting site shut down because of an entry ticket for a game fair (thats how much they thought of defending the common cause) !!!!!!!!!! I do not need to or want to belittle or intimidate anyone, not my nature, nor will i be belittled or intimidated by anyone to do with an insignificant magazine, I do not hide behind any name on a hunting
