    This is actually quite sad to read, I cant imagine giving away a loyal companion after 6 yrs together due to injury, I understand you don't have much space but unless you have half a dozen dogs I cant see the problem in letting this dog spend the rest of its life by the fire , lurchers aren't exactly hyper 100mph dogs!!     Their too busy inbreeding, peddling pups and living the high life with the money, and shaving 3 week old pups for cosmetic reasons to come on the hunting life but I know for a fact they are just as bad.

    Had a great day at this very well run show today with my little granddaughter, we won Champion Terrier Puppy AND Reserve Champion Lurcher, we are chuffed to bits, but my little granddaughter is over the moon was also great to have a catch up with mr & mrs cleanspade, well done to all the winners Champion Terrier Puppy...... Reserve Champion Lurcher.......

    Was a great day out as usual at the Scottish game fair, not the busiest I've seen this terrier show but a good well organised show, those bleating about the dog show entry should try supporting these shows to keep them going , not stand at the side of the ring and pull them down but I suppose some folk just come on these sites to moan about everything

    It makes me sick to read some of the replies on here thinking it was ok for this dog to kill someones little pet, to me these people are no better than the clown with the staffie in the article, THIS WAS SOMEONES LITTLE PET you might not like the breed but it didn't deserve to die like that in it's own garden might I add, I like staffie and bull type dogs and have never come across a bad one yet, only idiot owners have untrained dogs, unfortunately these are in the lurcher world too.     mine are still taken out very early morn or late at night, and as for taking them to a show .......... took a couple of terriers to scone on sunday and they were absolutely fine sat under the shade of a big tree all day with plenty water, some people just don't have any common sense if they would walk their dogs in this heat or have them sat round a ring at a show with no shade, we are not ALL idiots !!!!

    Well it's fine that some have had successful dogs bought off the site but what about all the surplus??? just my opinion that there are far too many litters born to dogs that are hardly out of their first year or bred by inexperienced owners and pups advertised, i do think there should be some ruling on the working dog and livestock for sale section, the place is full of people mating their dogs with no thought or consideration into how many puppies they may be left with to rehome, and websites make it so easy for these people to pass pups on to just anyone, and in the lurcher world (which seem
