Thanks guys it was a really good trip again. The weather was lovely too. We did far better ferreting than we were expecting. I have been given two hobs ferrets and they both did well shifting rabbits. Bud managed to catch a couple bolts and sniffed out a couple squatting in the grass. He was starting to focus on the warren this time rather than what was around him. Yes northenlite

TOMO I hope them rabbits are lined up straight enough for you. We tried lining them up with your hedge cutting skills. Cheers fellas lots more to come for us and the dogs. Notts reckons nippers got the edge on bud at the moment.

It was a spot on night again. I was happy with nippers over all performance. Lass is just incredible to watch work. The carrying has about broke my back. Its still aching today. DL 150 lamp is a brill lamp and I'm purchasing one this week. My current camera is no good for filming at night, need my old one back. Good write up notts. Chatsworth next weekend, anyone going?

I have always been worried about selling him because of the injury to his shoulder but maybe I will after I have done some work with him. Cheers dodger, they were a year old yesterday. They have had a cracking start. Could have had some better training but that will come I hope, the more I take them out.

The pup I had back (nipper) caught 5 rabbits on his debut lamping . He did eat half his first rabbit but after that he just stood over them. Most importantly his shoulder didn't effect his running.

Let me know how the collar works because i might need I with mine. I had bud lamping first Time other night and he caught 12 rabbits and retrieved well but if he missed one, he put his nose down and went of trying to find another. It did get very annoying and really tested my patience but everything else is spot on. Nipper the new pup is totally different. Hes very well behaved but a b*****d for barking when left alone. I cant wait to start biking the two of them and burning some energy off. Better still when they are working. I got high hopes for them both. Nice one jax keep me posted. G

HELLO Just thought i will post this new video for those that havent seen it yet. Me and Nottzhunter managed to gain some permission other weekend and the farmer wanted us up there asap because the previous persons had stopped going and the rabbits were on the increase again. We promised the landowner we would be back witht he ferrets and dogs to catch as many as we could. I know its only july and theres still alot of young rabbits about but this early ferreting seassion would be great for my pup, he made a few catches and retrieved them as well. Hope you enjoy the video. https://yo

Obviously not got enough dogs already breeze lol The fella that had him said he rather it come bk to me than anybody else. After he had his shoulder injury hes been whining in house. Basically hes not been getting out enough to burn any energy so just being a f****r, whining mostly. Hes now got bud to play along with but its obviously how more mature bud is. So rather than him getting passed on I would like to get most out of him and see what hes capable of.

Reminds me of a young fly. Hope your happy with her. I know you have said she's caught a couple lamped rabbits which is far more than I have done with mine. However hes the keenest dog I have owned, he wont stop hunting for himself. Hes gonna need steadying up with son ferreting. I have also decided to have another pup from the litter back. He had a shoulder injury and been kenneld for a while so has really bad flat feet but I will have him in good shape in a few months hopefully ready for season. Here's a pic of him the day I got him back, this Sunday.

I filmed that video with a camcorder whilst holding gem on the slip. Gutted it broke last season after lots of use but because i replaced it with a bridge camera now and its rubbish. Go pro no good lads for lamping.

Lol you know what I meant. I know she wont be a mardy arse like my ex when ever I go out a few times a week. -
This was taken a few weeks back when camping in Norfolk. The pointer is crossed with a collie greyhound. She's owned by my new girlfriend. She doesn't point but she's got endless energy and loves working up. Will introduce her to lamping soon along with my girlfriend. Really looking forward to this season.

Thanks. Hes turned out a lovely dog, loves retrieving and carrying things. Always hunting up, doesn't stop. Going to be a speed machine but his turning is great. Reminds of fly. So far hes got all the qualities I bred him for. I'm hearing great things about his brother too. Been catching well on the lamp, retrieving live to hand over dances aswell. So pleased I bred this litter.
