Sounds odd to me one of the beaters tells me that this dog will kill eny thing that moves.he also said if given the chance it would have had a go at eny body t5hen he shook my hand Sounds like the thing should have bin SHOT a long time ago. . .   5. about two years ago a new keeper moved in to the house down the road and he is a miserible sod . my kid and my nethew who are aged 3 and 11 were walking our old whippet who can hardly walk let alone run on the footpath doin no harm when he pulled up and told them to f#*king stop letting that mut chase my birds or i will shoot it.witch scared them to death they came home crying .so i went to have a word but got about as much welcome as aids he was just ignerant.enyway his terrier was in my chickien run the other day and had killed 6 with one in his mouth so gess what i shot it now he is goin

  9. i have fed cat food in emergancy but normally feed rabbit ,chicks through winter dry ferrett in summer but my granddad fed cat food for years and swore buy it.
  10. the farmer where i shoot had a call in the spring that two dogs were in his fieald attacking sheep [all rare breed for meat he sells ] he see two dodermans when he called come they both came running tails wagging and satt he shot them there and then . turned out to be the gamekeepers gard dogs. it is a shame he did not get a good shot more red tape

  13. once got a lovley springer off gippo but put him in kennels and he barked 24/7 put him in the house he just crapped everywhere so wife made me get rid {good home } nice looking dog mate i would by him see if he is enygood if not rehome him they dont deserve dogs enyway
  14. Yes the man is correct, 52 years of keeping ferrets and never had any probs. I strongly believe that they are more susceptible to germs while in season for very obvious reasons but with care are fine. You do not need to breed to keep your jill alive.P1 it can be a bit missleading it is a shame this was not mentioned more there might be a lot less homeless ferrets about
  15. hi all as most of us have been told or read that we have to mate jills or they can die. i have just read a book called the ferret and ferreting guide by graham wellsted . he says that having to mate jills is just an old wives tale and the only reason that they can die is becuse they are not cleaned out proplery they catch something from there poo and wee. what are your thorts on this .

  18. hi mate personal preffrence for me is in her second year as this gives her time to mature.aloth i have known people to breed in the first year and have had bad results such as the jill concerned would not feed or intertane her litter so i had to take them to my nerusing jills touch wood all six lived. but on the other hand one of my jills got mixed up when i was on holaday when a friend was looking arter them she had nine small kits all of witch lived. no offence intended but i would onley breed if you want all kits or can get ridof them bred mine this year kept some new blood but having tr

  21. noticed hundreds tuesday where i was working there is alot of barley and they were going down in the tyre tracks. then on wednesday come home and there was hundreds on the fieald at bottom of garden doin the same thing . grabed the 12 and shot 50 in couple of hours no hide just sitting in the grass
