  1. Back up on 4 legs, and staying in Grassington as no owner came forward
  2. Looks like this dog has been left out for some time........

  4. Glucosamine and Chondroitin is used for cartilage and joint support,it repairs/renews joint cartilage. Used for arthritic dogs and after joint surgery ---------- may be worth looking into. Fractured bones are more likley to become arthritic in later life,it may be good to keep your dog on this. To try and keep the limb as healthy and sound for as long possible
  5. You could try using Plaqueoff,it's a natural product made from Seaweed that you add to the food. Softens existing tartar making it easier to scrape off,and reduces the build up of new tartar.
  6. Hi Some Border males do seem to drop theirs abit on the late side nowadays. If you can feel them under the skin, like on a young pup then there is still a chance they may drop.Spoken to 1 owner who's dogs did'nt drop until he was 14mths.
  7. My understanding is that there is an increased risk of cancer in retained testicles. Can the vet feel the retained one at all, sometimes you can, othertimes they are well up inside the dog,and can be difficult for the vet to locate. Borders who are neautered tend to loose their coats ,often go all soft and fluffy - some can't be stripped afterwards.Don't know who important that is to you. I'd think about just having the retained one removed. I personally would't want to breed from a dog with a retained testicle, just in case.
