As the title anyone on here using a PES over barrel mod on a 223 ? if so which model...and what make rifle. Mick

I have 2x 22 rimmys and 2x 17hmrs reason for 2 of each is one have a US gen 3 scope..as said above yes the 22 are moderated and very quiet with subs..but ive had a lot of success with my HMR even though there is a crack rabbits just sit there.and before they know whats gone on you have also bagged them before they run. I have certain areas where i would use the 22 more than the hmr and then other areas where i would only use the hmr ..different areas dictate which rifle from my rapid 7 upto 223..and i have a no of cals for differing jobs. But i do like my hmr..sweet little round..will

Just had the same conversation with a mate..and that small of a diff will not make any diff in your shots..when you are bringing the ram down on your press to seat the bullet into the case try turning a quarter..ie the case as you are seating..making sure you fully rotate the case as your seating.. May help may not but its no big deal and certainly not worth worrying about..inless they are NOT grouping ?? Mick

Hi steve Ref to scopes..personally the 223 has more range than 17hmr so there fore put the scope with more mag on the 223 and the one with less mag on 17hmr. Mick

Do any of you chaps have any old US varmint mags or any old brit rifle/shooting mags.that you no longer need..as ive run out of gun mags to read out here in sunny afghan. As it says in topic.looking for anyone in cheshire who has lawful quarry for 223, 243 ect this means you can legally shoot vermin species with a CF rifle. This is on other forums and so far NO ONE from cheshire have come forward ? Mick

i just put posts on this site plus a few other shooting sites asking guys,i found a guy up north from me,yorkshire way who can do it. but if you look for landrover restorations,they also can do them,im sure you will find one or someone down south who can do it for you. Mick

Im going to buy a defender i hope in jan when im home,get a hatch cut into the roof,and also thinking of a roof rack,but with padding around the frame,so can then be used as a rifle rest while out the hatch, But take a look at this shoot wagon... Mick
