Im not saying Tyson wasnt a good fighter, but a great in terms of history he certainly wasnt.....you mentioned a few of tysons wins...spinks( a blown up light heavyweight)...pinklon thomas( a reformed junkie)...yet you purposely left out frank bruno...whys that ? bruno was on the same level as every other tyson opponent of the time,in fact bruno was the first fighter to actually hurt tyson....i totally agree bruno was nowhere near world class,BUT...at that time in the heavyweight division he WAS....the division was at its all time worst...trevor berbick( wbc)... bonecrusher smith ( wba) and mic

Well that was a surprise....fitch/sanchez went pretty much as i thought......rua looked in piss poor shape and only had 1 round in him....take nothing away from griffin though.....him and jardine proved that good old fashioned guts, determination and the will to win can still overcome technical ability and it was good to see. Anyone see vitor belfort on cage rage ? what a shame, still only 30 years old and looked totally washed up struggling to a decision win over jimmy zikic...only a few years ago he was mixing it with the best in the world.

Think you only need look at the level of competition liddells stood with and ko,d...then look at jardines....jardine may prefer to strike but this might be a time to put the element of surprise on chuck and try getting him on his back and dropping elbows. Technically chuck is far superior standing but who knows....its a fight and anything can happen ...
-
I think jardine is made for liddel.....id be amazed if this fight go,s into the second round....jardine seems a tough guy but he doesnt compare with chuck as a striker and will struggle to take him down as most have...i see a spectacular knock out win for liddel. griffin/rua....cant see anything but a rua win, just cant see where griffin wins the fight, again he,s a tough guy but not in rua,s league in any department. I see fitch beating sanchez....he,s a very underated fighter on a winning streak....i think this will be a close fight and can go either way. for me its ....lidde

simoman i think that went straight over your nut didnt it.

old skool you make some sensible points.... the dog gonzales culled didnt just lose it quit badly....the man knows his dogs so it becomes a judgement call on him what he does with his dog....being of no use to him from a sporting or breeding point of view it only leaves rehoming in a pet home....well i would say he did the responsible thing. the dogs in japan take part in a totally different type of fight....it has nothing to do with gameness as there are time limits and all sorts of strange rules...its more geared up to spectators rather than dogs. the badger thing ive never quite understo

Very valid statement....i was raised and lived in a highly populated immigrant neighborhood for years....a while ago i reluctantly moved away.....but it still cant change what i feel in my heart and if standing up for whats right means my kids and their kids might one day live in mine and yours country in happiness.....then i can live with not seeing a difference in my own lifetime....which you are right in saying,is not going to happen......what i know i couldnt live with is turning my back and pretending its ok...or what most would term " giving up ".. All the best mate.
-
Thats a sensible post all apart from this bit quoted above.....bobby gonzales is far from a dickhead......he is a knowledgable and respected dogman....what makes you think the dog was electrocuted ? because the reporter said so ? the dog quit and was culled ....you say you would have taken it for free ...and thats part of being a good dogman,he culled the dog so it would never be bred from hence helping to improve quality in the breed.....culling go,s on in all parts of the animal world not just gamedogs. His only foolishness was dealing with the pricks he did. As for the "bogus cop s

i did have mate.....untill i realized that it wasnt the same country....and never will be anymore...sad but true...but like you say each to there own on this one yep agree and understand to a point mate....i guess its the old " fight " or " flight " mode that kicks in...personally i cant bring myself to cur out on my country....but i understand its not as important for some as others
-
I suppose it all depends where you place your lifes priorities.....as much as id like the hunting ban lifted its certainly not a major priority on the scale of things. Each to their own when it comes to politics....but for the people saying they wouldnt vote bnp because they wont win is like saying we might as well all support chelsea or man utd.....people support shitty little footie teams with no hope because they have loyalty and pride in themself and their club....it is to be admired in my eyes....its just a shame people dont have the same pride and loyalty in the country they were bor

All this is nothing new unfortunately....they know the dogs are not going anywhere so dont get a second thought when it comes to care...uspca/rspca no different.....some people may remember the terrible case back at the start of the millenium when a very highly regarded dog died in their care....which was then put down to old age ....BULLSHIT ! Survived what many dogs couldnt and wouldnt but couldnt survive the " care " of the rspca... ...

Personally i was impressed with Jackson i thought he dealt with Henderson well and his cardio was better than ever i can see him keeping the belt for a while. The Congo - Crocop fight went pretty much how i thought, id be surprised to see Crocop fight in top competition anymore he was close to retiring before the ufc took him. Bisping i thought was lucky to get the decision,he looked much too tentative the whole fight.... his advantage was in the stand up yet he never really commited to his punches all fight....id like to see him go to train with coutures team,or miletich....his cardio

Got 2 tickets here if anyones interested....... I see Henderson beating Jackson Bisping beating Hamill and Congo beating Cro cop Im just not sure Jackson has the dedication to put his body through what its going to need to get through a war like what henderson will be looking to put him through. Hamill i think is made for Bisping....he is not hard to hit and doesnt seem to have great cardio,if Bisping can overcome Hamills raw strength i see him stopping him late or taking a points win. Cro cop is going to have steam coming out his ears after his last display and i think that

if only we could talk so freely about other minority races...without worrying about getting nicked for racism

Bonny.....its amazing the info you can pick up these days what with the invention of the internet and all....you have joined this forum today....you have posted 3 or 4 posts on a very controversial subject.....you have now accused people of committing illegal activities..... rat.......smell.......see ya

yep well done pal you called them both right i called them both totally wrong all things being equal couture is possibly the most remarkable sportsmen ive ever seen in any sport,he just shouldnt be able to do what he does at that age,and age not just being a number i mean the punishment his body has taken over the years.....he is the ultimate professional and an unbelievable physical specimen and i think he is actually improving !! koscheck looked like he froze a little but st.pierre looked sharp and hungry. glad to see frank mir did well....how about ronato sobral...bit naughty that,i ha
-
Often when fighters are interviewed before fights it makes me cringe to see them working so hard on their " talk " you can see they have tried so hard to come up with something different that still sounds " hard"....most of it is laughable....i like the way randy couture conducts himself,he is respectful and simply wants to win...and says so !.....like i say,at top level i dont think fighters need to sell themself but unfortunately it seems for guys on the way up selling themself outside the ring is almost as important as selling themself inside it....and for that i do think the american hype
-
I think what makes frank a nice guy is that he was a nice guy before he had big success in this sport and success hasnt changed him one bit.....his lifelong trainer is a good man also, quiet, knowledgable and unassuming but i certainly wouldnt want him as an enemy ! Personally i prefer the game here in england, not on the same level quality wise of course and not as big of a sport but the whole hype and bullshit is not so far fetched here kye i dont know whether you agree, which for me a lot of it comes from the showbiz acting total ridiculous nonsense of the wrestling which we dont have over
-
I hate all that name dropping ..but suffice to say...yes,frank mir is a nice man,a very nice man,a very very nice man ....he can certainly tell a story and sounds like he told a good one about the "near death " bike accident......he shattered the femur in his leg yes,but near death no. As you may know he was born with a big silver spoon in his mouth and only started wrestling when he ran out of boys toys for mummy and daddy to buy.....my only real doubt with him is his hunger and desire to reach the top of the sport, but i guess he has shown some just simply by getting back competing after
-
Horrible little cxxt ...looks like he wouldnt stand up in a strong breeze so probably felt a REAL man stabbing a little puppy...wanker!
-
surely if he is 275 wrestling he will prob only be around 230 conditioned for mma will he not,i know them wrestlers are juiced up to the eyeballs as for mir.....id have to disagree i think he,s a class act and a very rare type of fighter,a man that size 18 odd stone with the speed on the ground and of course the strength of a 18 stone guy....but yes he seemed to have a cardio problem, freeman beat him when mir had very little experience(21 i believe ?).....i might be wrong but i think he was a real talent yet had a lot of holes in his game but still made world champ,a good sign in one so yo
