The difference in proof for a working dog and a pet dog is very different.....all these tests are great for a pet dog and if i was in the market for a pet stafford i would definately have peace of mind having ticks in the correct boxes....but for a working dog....genetic defects will show themself with no need for all these lab tests....if a dog cannot perform for health reasons he will not make it as a worker hence not be bred from.....when breeding working type dogs the selection process is made on healthy vigorous animals yes,but being good at their job is the most important....a dog cannot

Is there any statistical proof that 1 inbreeding could cause heart defects ?....the myths surrounding inbreeding are never based on fact....whenever people talk of inbreeding in dogs they compare it to inbreeding in humans...and its so unrealistic its just not worth comparing.....ive seen dogs bred for generations from close families that are very inbred with no physical problems....the important part is being extremely selective on the individuals you breed from.....a father daughter,even a brother sister mating from scatterbred or crossed dogs is inbreeding yes,but is nowhere near as tight

....theres also a reason yours or my mrs never gave birth to 9 kids in one sitting ....physically theres nothing wrong with a breeding like this especially when you are breeding from crossed dogs anyway......if you are trying to breed a strain then you are tightening up genetically on good AND bad traits making it vital to be very slective in future breedings you do....but if you just want to do a breeding to produce one off workers its probably not the best way of breeding.

The physical condition of a dog has absolutely no bearing on the sperm count of a dog...if the dogs overweight or underweight it wont effect his fertiltiy....as staffman says,get a sperm count done...unless the dogs a banned breed it wont matter what work the dog shows......infertility is not genetic so no point comparing to sire or relations etc....is the dog inbred ? inbreeding will always reduce numbers in a litter but not necessarily fertility...if you are sure your bang on the bitches time then a sperm count is the only sure way of getting an answer.

Heard about this on the radio.....it caught my ear because they mentioned the dangerous dog act...and the fact that it has been decided that rotweilers WILL NOT be added to the list inspite of this incident..........well shit in your hat and punch it ! surprise surprise...... So lets have it right...a pit bull killed a kid before xmas and it was national news for weeks and almost panic in the streets....a rotweiler does exactly the same and they spring to the breeds defence and give the breed a pardon and breed owners reassurance that their killer dogs are under no threat.... what sort of colouring are you having mate...you look a fairly pale skinned chap dont go for really bright colours it will look kack !.....the easy parts done,enjoy the colouring in ....let us see how it turns out,all the best.

Trouble is mate....a chair leg is not quite as " cool " as a samurai sword is it....your rep is not enhanced with a chair leg.....a few years ago it was the baseball bat,you had to buy a ball with it !....now its the samurai swords turn to be the " IN " weapon of choice...that and the uzi but i think they might be banned also

Hello Bill...as usual you speak a lot of sense and i agree with much of what you say......however as regards tszyu/castillo....well they do say the last place to find out what shape a fighters in is in the press !....personally i dont go on any boxing websites or subscribe to the magazines,for that reason....the media will never blatantly discredit an opponent before a fight.....i imagine you may have traded blows yourself at some level at some stage so you will know word gets around gyms real quick,and that word is more often than not a lot more honest than you will read in a magazine ! . thats the problem right there gnasher,he's been hyped from before his first pro fight,i just find it a bit distasteful and disrespectful to every other honest young pro who earned there exposure and money the hard way. I couldnt agree more mate...but he was an olympian so he was always going to get mass exposure from the off.....audley harrison was the same,only difference being khan can fight !! Harrison could have turned pro a year before he did but refused knowing it was an olympic year.....

The kids 21 years old mate he,s not an experienced seasoned pro.......if boxings bent because a young talented fighter needs bringing along slowly and carefully then its bent for everyone....who was ricky hatton fighting in his 15th pro fight ? who was muhammad ali fighting in his 15th pro fight ? or anyone else.....people are so intent on seeing the kid in a war.....he should not have been exposed to the public this early in his career but thats the ONLY mistake...as for the lad and his career...both are coming along perfect.

The only way its not accurate is that earl was never world class...but at 29 he is washed up and khan took full advantage..... Just a quick example on a point you made above about fighters being washed up etc.....the recent khan/earl fight was a great example.....on paper earl was a great opponent,rated very highly,28/29 years old......but it is no secret that he is a shot fighter,which was proved....yes of course people say after the event he is shot,but a lot of people said it before the fight as well......exactly the same as the hatton/tszyu/castillo fights.....cheers.

As we know there are things that make a great fighter...and one of them is ring generalship.craftiness,cleverness call it what you will.....hatton knows just as many tricks just look at the way in all his fights he hits and holds and anticipates the break and punches on the break,not strictly legal but hey its all part of the game.mayweather knew what he had to do on the inside and knew what he could get away with...lets be honest hatton is not the cleanest fighter in the world,but his overall ring generalship is not up to mayweathers. Well personally i dont like him because of his ethnic background plain and simple.....if someone wants to call that racist then so be it,i call it pride in your country and your heritage. Although i agree he seems a nice enough kid with a sensible head on his shoulders and is definately a great talent.....I guess some of us are just too set in our ways.
