  1. When you look back he was probably the most succesful england manager since 66.....yet he still got shit from the press.....what we would do for someone like him now, instead we,re now having to resort to people who can barely speak the language !! Certainly looking a bit fragile of late...hope he hangs on a few years yet the old boy.......nice picture mate
  2. Walk round the old den on a saturday evening and you would no why !! Ive seen both of these films and football factory is by far the most realistic film with mostly london based actors ( and even the many non actors in the film are londoners ).....that green street film is the most embarrssing cringeworthy film ive ever seen with them couple of pathetic yank kids trying to talk like cockneys....im east london through and through and everybody i know from this way says the same...green st is pathetic....football factory at least has some real people in it and certainly a lot more thought w

I know theres a few boxing fans on here.....just thought id pay tribute to an old friend who sadly passed away this week......Frank Black was a well known east london trainer out of the old royal oak gym in canning town, who was behind the careers of john stracey, charlie magri,bruno,honeyghan....and in more recent years worked the corner in many calzaghe fights....passed away suddenly aged 69. Frank was a very well respected, kind and genuine man who had a great knowledge and love of the sport......RIP.
  4. Was thinking similar myself speedy only my thoughts are he will take the winner of a Pacquaio/Hatton fight in another megabucks fight....think he would beat them both at the same time myself but i imagine thats the order it will pan out.
  5. The difference is mate a knockout punch you know nothing about so of course it doesnt hurt....a hard body shot is real physical pain theres a big difference....hatton throws a great body shot but is not a concussive knockout puncher, dont take my word for it check his record over the last 6 or 7 years !....if he was a knockout puncher there would be plenty of 1 and 2 round knockouts....theres not....doesnt make him any less of a fighter though.
  6. Well he first caught my eye when he was on an undercard fight down here at the york hall must of been around 99/2000....so probably about 30 !
  7. And i could beat muhammed ali if i fought him tomorrow, does that make me a great fighter....i wouldnt say pacquaio carried the weight excellently he didnt knock out a finished fighter and he didnt have to take a shot so like i said its hard to make judgement....delahoya was as finished as finished can be,taking a finished fighter back to school doesnt impress me one bit....hattons a pressure fighter not a knockout puncher....knockout punchers are usually known for early round knockouts where they have caught somebody with 1 solid shot which hatton is not really known for.
  8. Bills right hattons not a known knockout puncher and pacquaio is....but the question is whether pacquaio carries that punch up in weight,by the fight against delahoya id say maybe he doesnt as he caught him flush plenty of times and only moved him towards the end....its tricky to tell how good pcquaio is at the heavier weight as delahoya was just a dead body and you cant make too much judgement on pacquaio on that fight...i for one always liked delahoya but i lost all respect for him in this fight he conned the public with this so called superfight. I think if hattons not too much past his pe
  9. Never been a big hatton fan myself...but styles make fights and i believe hatton certainly has the style to cause pacquaio problems...if this fight does go ahead id give hatton a decent chance although i think his conditioning could let him down over a distance fight which it would probably be. Cant see a fight between an englishman and a filipino taking place in america.....just hope hatton doesnt hype the fight the way he normally does....hopefully he will just get his nut down and prepare properly.
  10. That all makes sense but the fact is the majority of people when buying a working dog will be buying a pup.....so you only have the parents to go by regarding conformation....... Personally i regard good conformation as a bonus rather than a necessity on a working dog and if buying a dog id rather have an hours phone conversation with the breeder in preference to an hour looking at a dog/litter.
  11. Froch surprised me ive never really followed his career but what a fantastic chin he has...he has a lot of holes in his game but he gets away with it because he can take such a great shot....Good luck to him he deserved the win in a great fight. Unfortunately i was switching channels between froch and the audrey harrison fight...glad to see the irish boy win on guts and desire.....surely harrison will stop banging on about world titles now !...Also amir khan looked sharp and is coming back from defeat the right way.
  12. Although i was well pleased Pacquaio won the fight left a sour taste in my mouth.....it showed to me the power money ( delahoya ) has in the sport.....he must of known he was totally finished before he stepped in the ring, some fighters the end of their career creeps up on them others it comes suddenly......but not that suddenly !!....a prime delahoya would have been too much for Pacquaio but none of us knew just how finished delahoya actually was. I think a Paquaio/Hatton fight will be a great fight to watch.
  13. Nice one mate...he does come across like a humble kind of guy, apparently he gives a lot of money to his countrymen just hands it out in the street.....would love to see him win but.....
  14. C1 AYS...that would be an expensive plate that...anything with one letter and a 1 is expensive, just bought my daughter one similar that spells her name if clever with the black screw covers
  15. Desperately wanted to be Bobby Moore....turned out as gary glitter ! Hang on,is this some sort of trick, everyone seems to be getting stuck with him.
  16. Total opposite to you mate ...i would love to see Pacquaio win but personally i think its a physical mismatch and i can see delahoya winning quite easily......on sheer boxing ability and styles id say pacquaio but i just think the size difference is going to be too much delahoya will have well over a stone on him when they step in the ring...its a fight that should probably have never been made....but money talks.
  17. They might have no legal powers but there word in a court carries a lot more weight than the lollypop ladies !...and the same out of court...one call from them to the police and off there seats they jump,10 calls on the same subject from the lollypop lady wont even get them moving......as much as we all detest them, they need to be treated carefully dependant on each persons case.....its easy to just say " f**k off no good c**ts "...but thats not always the most sensible thing to do if you want a quiet life....no they dont have legal power but they are a powerful organisation whether we like it
  18. All depends what breed it is mate....having a dog with fresh marks will probably get you done for failure to provide due care and attention if you didnt take it to a vet....but they wont put a dog down just because its a working dog unless its of a banned breed or remotely similar ! They can only go under government guidelines they cant put a dog down because they think its a working animal so viscious.....theres no law saying working dogs are viscious so have to be put down....hence what they can and will do is try and get you on things like lack of care regarding wounds etc to them nobody s
  19. Looks to me like the old stafford dog big red out of manchester used to do the reid shows must be back early 90,s
  20. In my opinion the whole debate of whether you let rspca onto your property depends on whether your actually doing anything wrong or not...if you have something to hide then you need to look after yourself and bollocks to ethics....yes the rspca are scum and shouldnt be given the time of day,but if you have something to hide then as with anything else you need be a bit clever just telling them to fxxk off is the worst thing you can do......invite them in give them a butty if you need to as long as it means you keep your dogs etc.....if you have nothing to hide however then its personal choice w
  21. Because they dont get on....why not last in first out then....oh its blue thats right Only messing mate your dogs your choice

Another few that spring to mind that were classic historical fights....Ali/Frazier....Robinson/Turpin....Zale/Graziano... For sheer excitement one of the best fights i ever saw was back in 82 when Ray Mancini fought Duk Koo Kim......it was a 14 round all out war with both fighters standing toe to toe and slugging it out in a fight that today would have probably been stopped after 2 rounds !....Mancini won with a brutal knockout, tragically Kim never recovered from his injuries and died 3 days later....if ever there was a real life rocky fight, this was it !....dont know if Jasp can find any foo

For me it would have to be Hagler - Hearns 1985....simply due to the size of the event...it was a genuine superfight between the top 2 fighters in the world at their prime.......usually fights like this with a massive build up are an anti climax but this was a 3 round war. Theres so many fights that were great for different reasons.
  24. Surprise Surprise no answer........nothing worse than a sxxt stirrer !
