Bang on with that post Wilf.....any lifelong Hammer like myself knows the frustration in supporting a team who produces world class footballers from the local area....and then sells them to make other clubs win titles !!.....Its a long road of pain with the odd moment of pleasure...personally id be happy to see us go down this season, last time we did we had a complete shake up and came back strong.....despite what seems like a great result it dont change the fact Avram Grant is not the future for this club, this was what i feared would happen in a way,a few good results and the reality will get

Thats just silly......you only had to throw a bucket of ice cold water over it. -
Must admit i didnt see his fight the other night though im told he walked it.... Disgusting really lads innit....how such a talented and good fighter at the highest level that Froch is at gets such little coverage !....Maybe he should do what little wicky did and shove his face in front of anyone who will take notice of him ! Good solid fighter Froch i hope he continues to do well.

Your missing the point mate.....i already moved to a fantastic area 10 years ago.....but i cant move my buisenesses, family and friends as well who all remain in an area i grew up in but now detest ! I dont want to live in a different culture i love my own culture....you do and thats fine......i dont think some folk appreciate the frustration others feel.

Theres a big difference between going somewhere you are welcomed, where you are adding to the economy, where your cultures are the same.....and going somewhere that you are becoming a lifelong ponce living off that country amongst people who have nothing in common with and who dont want you there !
-
I can believe it....im over the opposite side but i chose to move away but still have buiseness/family/friends there so its a place i frequent regularly....Hounslow is not England anymore as are many of the places on the fringes of London, the contrast between somewhere like Byfleet or Sunbury and Hounslow is unbelievable...extreme wealth to extreme shit within 5 miles !.....the shit is overspilling from the big cities,i mean how far can you run before you start to believe a complete move away is possibly best....

So whos to know he,s the only driver then ? unless of course he offers up the information ....surely if he had a dink and was asked if he is the only driver he could say " errr no my dad drives it mostly " Feel sorry for younguns these days insurance is one of the biggest scandalous robberies going.....what other buiseness can take thousands of pounds off you without ever giving you anything back !...as far as im concerned no claims bonus should mean if you aint claimed have some money back not instead of 4000 we,ll charge you 3500. Daylight robbery insurance. 3rd party only is stil

What a complete pile of nonsense !!...if you want to call me a c**t then thats cool but if you pay no attention to anything else pay attention to this...A DOG BITES HARD BECAUSE HE WANTS TO !....simple. A pit bull does not bite hard because he has powerful jaw muscles, ive seen dogs of this breed with poor head, poor neck and poor dentition that could bite like a croc....ive also seen dogs with big powerful strong head/jaw structure that couldnt break a crisp packet ! The fact a pitbull is outpowered by a rottweiler 3 times its size and weight proves what exactly ? As an old man onc -
Cant you insure the car and stick him on as a named driver

You say that, but some of us are not thinking of moving to indulge in a different lifestyle...im perfectly happy with the lifestyle ive got now im just sick of being a foreigner in my own country...i can cope with the weather,i can cope with the life....i just cant cope with sharing with people i detest ! So if im moving abroad i want to be surrounded by my own kind in nice surroundings,if i want a different culture i might as well stay here !...ive already had to move away from an area i loved....if im going to move away from a country i love its not a decision im taking lightly or getting pl

how much cambelt and engine service
gnasher16 replied to captain jack sparrow's topic in General Talk
Be surprised if its as cheap as that its probably at least 2 hours labour alone thats without the belt kit or the service......depends what part of the country i spose but down this way your be looking closer to 300 i reckon.... -
Its a fair point, must admit its not something i thought about while the kids were young or i was on the money chase....its only a bit later in life when theres no worries and nothing to keep me here that its seriously entered my thoughts, even so theres still so much id miss about England......and if im honest, like Attack Fell Terrier hinted at,id feel like im selling out on my own country, but there can be nothing worse than living with regrets....for me if i dont do it within the next 5 or 6 years i know i never will.
-
Whats the point having a mrs if your going to do the cooking yourself ...you aint thought this through pal
-
I hope you run your buiseness better than you seem to run your life !.....all sounds a bit strange to me
-
Good for you young sir...........i only wish i had the faith and stickability to do the same,i have till now but i cant see it lasting......as ive realised, loyalty will only get you so far.....but its an admirable stance to take nonetheless
-
Thats exactly what i like to do,when im on holiday !....going to live in a different culture speaking a language i dont know......thats not my idea of fun..... I love the greek islands Zante,Rhodes,Kos etc etc all beautiful places with great food, climate and culture but i couldnt live there.......no,give me a sun soaked Spanish villa surrounded by my fellow cockneys, that will do me for the last period of life
-
Well i love my own kind, just a shame few of them are here anymore...being amongst my own kind in nice sunny surroundings is very tempting....leaving what you,ve become loyal to aint always easy though......one day.
-
What like Egypt you mean ....what attracted me to Southern Spain is theres probably more Londoners than in London ....it will be like going home in a strange kind of way.
-
Been playing with the idea for a number of years now,got a place down in Southern Spain.....think im just putting off the innevitable......i look at my West Ham,look around at my pals and the beautiful East End of London and think what do i possibly want to be sitting by the pool in a sunny Spanish village sipping my Pimms for Not this year anyway.

To be honest Jasp im half hoping we do go down, this club needs a complete rebuild from top to bottom,we need to get back some of the traditions that made us a respected club, our big plus point was always bringing through great young talent....ok we had to sell them later on but it still gave us a constant supply of quality....no club in England has produced the quality of home grown talent West Ham have,Chelsea,Man Utd and Arsenal included ! Today we have too many average foreign players picking up a wage packet whereas we always had a good amount of local lads with a passion and desire to
-
I,ll give you a tenner for any true West Ham fan you can find that wants to !....for a start we couldnt fill a 60,000 capacity ground unless we,re playing one of the big 5......or Millwall.....the Boleyn has too much history and too much togetherness to move away from it....the atmosphere sometimes is like a 12th man on the pitch and the way we,re playing at the moment,we need that ! For the toffs and the johnny come latelys they will love it....for the true lifelong West Ham fans it will be the final nail in the coffin for many.
-
Never mind silly little Man Utd...the mighty Hammers turned a corner today, watch us start climbing the table now ....COME ON YOU IRONS ! In all seriousness....i wonder what the odds are on Man U matching what the Arsenal did and going the season unbeaten.

Everyone always bangs on about Cus Damato.... its BACAUSE of Cus Damato that Tyson went the way he did personality wise....taking in a young talented lad and teaching him boxing skills is great, but taking in a lad and allowing him to run riot doing what he wants and abusing people while teaching him boxing skills is just wrong....but that said,no boxing trainer can put in what nature left out .... Tysons speed and explosive power made him look spectacular while climbing the ladder.... his internal weakness and lack of heart made him look just as spectacular falling back down the ladder !
-
Of the names listed there i actually thought Spinks had the best chance of beating Tyson.....shows what i know .......it was THE worst era of heavyweight boxing, thats not even up for debate ! Mike Spinks was a class act and in my opinion would have beat any other heavyweight of that era apart from Tyson...i actually had a lot of money on Spinks to win that fight ...if he had come in with the right attitude he would have stood a good chance as stylistically he could have given Tyson a lot of trouble. Tyson is a very good historian of the sport and gained great knowledge from Jimmy Jaco

Thats about the most accurate description so far ...though gobshite is a bit harsh.....the expression " its not the dog in the fight its the fight in the dog "...always springs to mind when Tyson comes up.....dont matter how strong you are on the outside its the inside that usually lets you down, and it certainly did with this man.
