Couldnt agree more.....that subway outside your ground used to put the shits up me and i was sposed to be one of the big toughies back then ..... but that was what it was all about then the pride of standing shoulder to shoulder with your pals.....not this pathetic 30 lads chasing 5 kids up the road like they do today. Your not the chap with the ice cream van outside the garden centre in Essington are you ....

Come on Gnasher , who do you think has the tools to beat him? Cant im too embarrassed to say ....i,ll let you know after may 15th I believe the style to beat Mayweather is somebody with similar speed and enough power and accuracy to throw him out of his comfort zone....Mayweather is an unusual fighter who can fight just as well off the back foot as he can off the front and doesnt need the centre of the ring to control a fight, couple that with his handspeed and reflexes, and he makes for a very hard man to beat, but he does have weaknesses, this habit of pulling his head away

Back in the 70,s and ,s it was all in its infancy,in fact it was all quite innocent...boys will fight other boys, estates fight other estates, areas fight other areas and so on football was no different.....it was fun even though nobody really knew what they was doing it was just good rivalry and days out. Today its a load of mickey mouse bollocks ! trying to pretend its hi tec ....why use mobile phones to arrange to meet on the night of a big football match where hundreds of police are going to be,it dont take a clever person to work out that half these idiots rely on the police to break

I hate to admit it....but i was there that night ....Luton didnt get over run by Millwall that night they got over run by London !....there was West Ham Millwall Chelsea Charlton even Orient took a handful !.... I suppose your right if lads still want to do it thats their choice, they will learn how pathetic it all is just as the generation before them have !...the difference is we did it back then for a laugh and the pure adrenalin of it all.....nowdays the kids are watching films and reading books thinking its " cool ".....same outcome just a different reason.

Mosely looked to be blowing out of his arse by round 3,i dont think Mayweather is as great as people make out he is just stylistically very hard to beat,it will be a certain style that beats him rather than one certain fighter.....im going to keep my thoughts to myself as to who i think has the style to beat him as i,ll get laughed off the screen

What a bunch of fannies doing that to a little family club like York City !....id like to see them try that with the Cardiffs,Millwalls,Wolves,West Hams,Tottenhams of this world.....Luton seem to think if they bash over a few little family clubs it makes up for what Millwall did to them in 85.... The footie was a good crack back then but its all finished now,any idiot whos willing to get a lifetime ban from every ground in the country and a prison sentance for having a laugh and a ruck is not the full shilling if you ask me.

I know im biased but just a quick mention for a man deserving recognition. Tony Carr has been associated with West Ham Football Club for over 30 years and has spent many years bringing through young players at the West Ham academy of Football. Players such as Tony Cottee,Paul Ince,Frank Lampard,John Terry,Joe Cole,Rio Ferdinand,Glen Johnson,Michael Carrick and many many others were all brought through by Tony. Next Wednesday a testimonial will be played at Upton Park for Tony between 2 West Ham teams....many of the above names will be playing as well as Paolo Di Canio and others...Mos

I dont buy it........once those pups are 3 or 4 months they wont even no they are related or give a bollock anyway, they will just be pups....ive raised plenty of pups from the same litter to adulthood, all given an equal chance some make it some dont....the bond you make with a dog will not put in what nature left out so your kind of stuck with whatever they are....a good bonding will just bring that out better but it still wont make a bad dog good.

hmmmm...pause for thought !....must admit theres certain random posts that catch my eye on here occasionally........and although its naturally tempting to be a nosey f****r and say " oi mate whats the sp ? "....i wont ......its none of my buiseness but it did take me back some years when i was going through a turning point in life as well.....i think sometimes in life we have to reach the low points to enable us to strive for the high points....now when it comes to god im personally not too sure on the finer details but i did learn that by whatever name you want to call it/him,some things ar

Indeed he did Denni had the shop round the corner from Duffs old office,Beak Street if i remember right, yes Denni died 5 or 6 years ago he was a good man and had great knowledge,i never spoke with him for years though i remember Nigel Benn saying he would never have beat Mclellan without Denni in the corner....he came from a big boxing family but never boxed himself, strange how it go,s. Yes mc craken was a good fighter i never knew much about him as he was north of watford didnt he retire after injury im not sure. The Blind Beggars still there but no ring above, its all different round ther

You may well be right mate i forget now Terry Lawless would go up the wall if we so much as looked at Duff their was major rivalry between them Jarvis Astaire and Barret i once witnessed Jarvis threaten to kill Duff over a matter concerning Frank Brunos early career,Frank was a loyal guy though and stuck with Terry who never had a bad bone in his body and was a much more genuine man than the others.I still see Frank and Gary Mason to this day it was different back then it was more a case of gyms and areas versus other gyms and areas whereas today everyone is out for themself.Shame but its just

In fairness Dennis was never the brightest spark he still to this day doesnt know how old he is !...he did and said what he thought was expected of him and had no malicious ways whatsoever he was a genuinely tough man but didnt know how to sell himself and most times asked people before an interview what he should say.... I remember when Manny Steward took him out to america he had to fix Dennis flights and accomodation etc because Dennis just didnt know how he had the memory and attention span of a fish, unfortunately he has been exploited by people ever since and will die a poor man sadly.

wow now thats a tester....if memory serves me correct it was actually on Peter Street, which im sure was off Wardour Street where the Interpid Fox was....i may well be wrong though as i was a Terry Lawless man so wasnt aloud to mix with the enemy ....within 2 minutes of Ronnie Scotts club i know that much ....Duff was a good man and got some great fights for brits he did wonders for Charlie Magri,s career and my old pal Boza Edwards would have never got a title shot without Duffs devious knowledge. As regards Sibson....he was from my time and a very strange character indeed, very little sel

It always makes me laugh how gullible the public are to this sport..... Who makes for a more dangerous opponent for Calzaghe,a fresh hungry Carl Froch,a fight that would have got Calzaghe about 30 quid......or a washed up Roy Jones who got him millions !.. Who was a more dangerous opponent for Hatton,a fresh hungry Junior Witter for peanuts....or a few million for fighting a washed up Castillo..... And they say fighters are thick !
-
Id disagree with that Tommy...the reason he never has or ever will be a household name is because unlike Hatton and Calzaghe he refuses to take the easy fights and refuses to push his face onto every tv show or magazine and is basically just a normal everyday mush !...Hamed and Eubank both recieved plenty of recognition and tv time....the fact Froch,s WORLD TITLE fight was on some obscure tv channel last night would indicate he could do with a bit more bullshit to his character....Hatton was the biggest bullshitter going yet the most popular fighter in the country. The difference is Hatton w

....it will probably be voted fight of the year son !!....it was a very exciting fight with 2 fellas who can bang and also take a great shot.....both gentleman and good sports as well, the fight showed all the qualities of the sport, toughness, ability, conditioning and fair play. Maybe you thought it was " f*****g muck " because there was no snarling spitting or rocky style knockdowns

Is it just me or does this Clint person sound like he,s putting on an accent through his fingers Either that or he,s just a wind up merchant.

And make sure you keep them up....no bringing them down at the weekend and putting them away till the world cup Be proud every day not just when the footies on !! Happy St.George,s Day.
-
No....let them do what they want....as long as they do it in their own country.......if you wanna be in england be english
-
I know theres a few fight fans on here just wondered how yous felt about the fight saturday. I have a bad feeling Froch may come unstuck....several reasons why,the main one being i think he is totally fed up with the fight game right now and i cant say i blame him. Most of the country are not even aware he is even defending his legitimate world title this weekend....yet a prick like hatton had the whole nation biting their nails in anticipation every fight he had !...its a shame for Froch, the fact he has some pride and is not willing to sell his soul means he will never be a household name r

Sorry to say it ol son but on the grand scheme of things the rspca are insignificant compared to the major problems this country face.....ok so voting bnp means you vote for a party that helps fund the rspca.....but if you vote labour or tory you vote for a party that helps fund half the population of the f****n world !!!!! So i,ll vote bnp and if/when all go,s well we can try to wise up the bnp on the rspca......one step at a time/priorities and all that
