One of the best come backs in the sport of Boxing
gnasher16 replied to Keano's topic in General Talk
John Mugabi was one of the biggest wastes of talent ive ever seen,he would have beaten Hagler in that fight if he had more belief in himself but he was a strange fella i remember seeing him at the Royal Oak gym back around 84 Mickey Duff had brought him over and he was sparring with another Duff fighter some might remember named Cornelius Boza Edwards, they were light sparring even though Boza was only a lightweight and Mugabi was light middle at the time.....Mugabi couldnt lay a glove on him and he lost his rag and got out the ring during a round.I was knobbing about on the pads elsewhere and -
Interesting read about the media bias of Pit Bulls

The best time the apbt breed had in this country was the following 10 years after the 91 dda when they were banned and folk were being hit with big fines just for owning them it meant only the real dedicated followers of the breed would keep or breed them, the more strict the law was the higher quality the dogs became. Then when the laws relaxed and a certain kennel of " good dogmen " started selling them out to the pakies they became a fashion item and gradually the quality got lower to the point where the breed as a whole is at its lowest ever since arriving on these shores.I love the breed -
Best of luck and all that.....i have a pal ive known back since school days who has been in the game over 30 years and still going strong today,he often comments how folk starting up now dont need anywhere near the talent he had when he started out.....he says its like comparing doing a dot to dot picture through tracing paper to natural artistic talent that can create a beautiful picture from nothing. As little as i know im inclined to agree.......then again he might just be a bitter twisted old cxxt !

Think thats the same clip that was on here a few years back...and yes its fake ! Never been into all the hong kong fuey shit myself it never impressed me,but ive started reading a book ( which i dont do very often ) called The Warrior Within......its about the philosophy Bruce Lee preached more than martial arts.....he,s certainly a fascinating character and proving a great read.

Apart possibly from Ronnie o Sullivan,Higgins surely has to be the most naturally gifted pure snooker players the game has seen, theres plenty better tacticians of both generations,Davis then and John Higgins now....but for pure ability and talent Alex Higgins had few equals.

Havent seen it.......is Quinton Jackson any good as Mr.T ?....I imagine he could play the part pretty good.

I aint got the foggiest idea what your on about or how it works......but if its footie related im game Surely you could just put the entire West Ham team in

On the other hand, you could just say Tyson fell apart when he fought a higher class of fighter.Lewis,Holyfield were not intimidated by him, hence when he couldnt dominate them he curred out instead ! I accept his early career was impressive to youngsters of those days......but the harsh truth is he was simply overated in a very poor era of heavyweight boxing.

I'm appalled to read the comments regarding the little Chihuahua being killed by a fox! I'm the Poole & Bournemouth Dog Whisperer, and I can tell you that it happened in front of 4 young children during one of their birthday parties! Before you make up your own assumptions on any story, please get your facts right. The father did indeed run after the fox (who wouldn't if it grabbed your dog?), and the dog was dead. The family are grief stricken, and wouldn't it be nice if you respected their pain and suffering rather than write a heap of s**t! I couldnt care less if you are Moth

Its true most Plecs were always a dull coloured fish but useful in tank hygiene, today though with the introduction of the L number Plecs they are a far more attractive fish,i have a Gold Nugget L 177 of decent size, not a cheap fish but does a good job and a nice looking fish. There are a lot of different variety L number Plecs that are very colourful and interesting fish.

Its worth keeping in mind most of the popular fish such as Siamese Fighters bought from aquatic centres really are poor specimens these days. The quality of fish available to the retail market today is nowhere near what it was 20 years ago.Its like anything that becomes too popular quality suffers, todays Siamese Fighters are a very long way from true Siamese Fighters,as Watchman says they are actually quite boring fish and are very rarely showed at their best and are a target for fin nippers such as Tiger Barbs etc. Most important is to cycle a new tank correctly before adding fish. The majorit

[quote name='watchman' date='16 July 2010 - 03:59 PM' timestamp='1279292353' post= if your just starting out i would go for fish that are relatively easy to keep, you need to decide if you want a species tank or a community tank, this will then give you an idea of what fish you can and cannot keep together. as a beginer i would advise things like, guppys and, platties, with plenty of weed in the tank these will breed readily and give birth to live young, the list is endless for community fish get out there and see what takes your fancy. i used to keep a lot of the american cichlids but you do nee

And im sure you have been around long enough to know you cant just go putting labels on a man because of what he looks like Ive lifted weights most of my adult life,i have a younger mrs.....am i a bozo,c**t and possible psycho killer ? Best to judge individuals as individuals.......apart from that i agree with everything your saying.Like yourself i have met lots like him, fortunately you know where you stand with them and its easy to read the situation.... its the little 9 stone weaklings that stick a knife in your back when your not looking that worry me more....well used to anyway im way

HOW ARE THE POLICE GOING TO GET OUT OF THIS ONE
gnasher16 replied to Night Hunter's topic in General Talk
Trouble is mate, probably 50% of all prisoners getting released are threatening one thing or another....they cant look into every single case. Most turn out to be nothing but occasionally,as in this instance......he meant it. Personally i just cant believe how angry and upset some folk are getting just because a man lost his head and shot a few people on the spur of the moment, theres plenty worse more revolting crimes happening every day that get a tiny corner on the 7th page of a newspaper that people dont even bother talking about anymore because its so common.....just because this Moat fe -
This sentance has got to be the most ridiculous pile of nonsense in this entire thread !!.....So because a fellas a big lump who lifts weights and has a younger bird he just has to be a bozo,c**t or even a psychotic killer !.... Well i suppose all niggers are going to pinch your wallet......all pakies smell.....and all fat people are lazy b*****ds Maybe you should go work at Passport control, you can spot a psycho killer from a photograph im sure a real life suicide bomber would be no problem at all !! I believe it was a tragic case of mental weakness and the man got everything h

[quote name='littlefish' date='13 July 2010 - 09:32 PM' timestamp='1279053125' post= Previous partners and neighbours say he was a violent man............it does sound like there was a history of abuse and violence from this man. If he was on doors then violence would have come with the territory theres nothing wrong with that....obviously if that spilled over to women/kids/everyday folk then obviously it cant be excused and what go,s around comes around etc..... Only thing i dont understand is if he was a regular on doors then he obviously had a high degree of self control......

Nobodies defending him mate,i dont know about what he,s done before but on this case alone i do feel a little sorry for the man,we have all been in situations where we are close to totally losing it for any number of reasons, thankfully 99% of us can think it through and have the mental strength to rationalise, this was clearly a weak and unstable man who tragically acted on impulse.Yes he got what he deserved as you have to pay the price for your actions. But i could never compare this mans crimes to the revolting sicko shit you here and read about every day that doesnt get anywhere near the att

Slightly off topic, but a fighter i would love to have seen compete in mma although he,s coming towards the end of his career now is Remy Bonjasky the dutch k1 fighter....on purely stand up he would have destroyed the likes of Chuck Liddell and Anderson Silva in short order.....I saw him win the a prelimanary for the World Grand Prix about 10 years ago over in Holland and followed his career ever since,he was so impressive.I guess we,ll never know.

If i was the family of the dead fella id be just a teeny bit pissed off with the girlfriend wouldnt you !!....Telling an unstable looney that your shacked up with a copper is probably not the nicest thing to do,especially when he,s not a copper.... If anyone needs standing trial for something its that soppy bitch, even if its just for stupidity !

Is that you in the picture holding him ? If so its such a refreshing change to see and hear such warmth and sincerity in one so young i wish you every happiness and god bless you and your young family.

0- 60 of a 2.8i was around 8 secs if i remember right, which was pretty quick back then.....top end was 135ish......i had 140 out of a 3.0 ghia once on the a2 down to dover,my arse dropped out when it felt like the whole car was going to fall to pieces and i backed out I had a mk2 rs2000 escort nosecone job around 1982 it was only a few years old, there used to be a place called Burton Power Products over Romford way i put it in there and just said " make it quick "....came back with a rolling road sheet that made no sense to me whatsoever and 170 bhp at the wheels, that encouraged me to throw

I always keep an eye out for Jaspers posts they are normally on subjects that bring a few memories flooding back. I had a 2.0s almost identical to the one pictured,a 3.0 ghia and a 2.8 injection....the amount of times the arse would slide out in the wet, funny days.Remember how you could almost stand in the engine bay,i opened up the bonnet of my motor last week i couldnt work out what the f**k was what, and you would need hands like a 4 year old to get to anything! My sons in the middle of doing a cosworth escort in a mark 2 shell.I had a few of the rs escorts back years ago, sold an old on
