  1. In fairness Dennis was never the brightest spark he still to this day doesnt know how old he is !...he did and said what he thought was expected of him and had no malicious ways whatsoever he was a genuinely tough man but didnt know how to sell himself and most times asked people before an interview what he should say.... I remember when Manny Steward took him out to america he had to fix Dennis flights and accomodation etc because Dennis just didnt know how he had the memory and attention span of a fish, unfortunately he has been exploited by people ever since and will die a poor man sadly.
  2. wow now thats a tester....if memory serves me correct it was actually on Peter Street, which im sure was off Wardour Street where the Interpid Fox was....i may well be wrong though as i was a Terry Lawless man so wasnt aloud to mix with the enemy ....within 2 minutes of Ronnie Scotts club i know that much ....Duff was a good man and got some great fights for brits he did wonders for Charlie Magri,s career and my old pal Boza Edwards would have never got a title shot without Duffs devious knowledge. As regards Sibson....he was from my time and a very strange character indeed, very little sel
  3. It always makes me laugh how gullible the public are to this sport..... Who makes for a more dangerous opponent for Calzaghe,a fresh hungry Carl Froch,a fight that would have got Calzaghe about 30 quid......or a washed up Roy Jones who got him millions !.. Who was a more dangerous opponent for Hatton,a fresh hungry Junior Witter for peanuts....or a few million for fighting a washed up Castillo..... And they say fighters are thick !
  4. Id disagree with that Tommy...the reason he never has or ever will be a household name is because unlike Hatton and Calzaghe he refuses to take the easy fights and refuses to push his face onto every tv show or magazine and is basically just a normal everyday mush !...Hamed and Eubank both recieved plenty of recognition and tv time....the fact Froch,s WORLD TITLE fight was on some obscure tv channel last night would indicate he could do with a bit more bullshit to his character....Hatton was the biggest bullshitter going yet the most popular fighter in the country. The difference is Hatton w
  5. ....it will probably be voted fight of the year son !!....it was a very exciting fight with 2 fellas who can bang and also take a great shot.....both gentleman and good sports as well, the fight showed all the qualities of the sport, toughness, ability, conditioning and fair play. Maybe you thought it was " f*****g muck " because there was no snarling spitting or rocky style knockdowns
  6. Is it just me or does this Clint person sound like he,s putting on an accent through his fingers Either that or he,s just a wind up merchant.
  7. And make sure you keep them up....no bringing them down at the weekend and putting them away till the world cup Be proud every day not just when the footies on !! Happy St.George,s Day.

No....let them do what they want....as long as they do it in their own country.......if you wanna be in england be english
  9. I know theres a few fight fans on here just wondered how yous felt about the fight saturday. I have a bad feeling Froch may come unstuck....several reasons why,the main one being i think he is totally fed up with the fight game right now and i cant say i blame him. Most of the country are not even aware he is even defending his legitimate world title this weekend....yet a prick like hatton had the whole nation biting their nails in anticipation every fight he had !...its a shame for Froch, the fact he has some pride and is not willing to sell his soul means he will never be a household name r

  12. Good lad, apparently we make the best friends and the worst enemies.....either way you,ll remember meeting us Personally ive always chickened out on the jellied eels  ....dont know whether its the look the taste or growing up being force fed them for breakfast dinner and tea !
  13. ....your on the wrong side of the river there pal.....bermonsdsey is south, get yaself through the rotherhithe tunnel and chuck a right down the mile end road....if you keep your eyes shut you might come across a pie and mash shop along the way in amongst the curry houses !!....actually keep going theres a few lovely ones around the west ham ground and you might even get to see the greatest football team in London
  14. Sorry to say it ol son but on the grand scheme of things the rspca are insignificant compared to the major problems this country face.....ok so voting bnp means you vote for a party that helps fund the rspca.....but if you vote labour or tory you vote for a party that helps fund half the population of the f****n world !!!!! So i,ll vote bnp and if/when all go,s well we can try to wise up the bnp on the rspca......one step at a time/priorities and all that
  15. Get yaself down ere treacle i,ll get the mrs to give you a guided tour.....you can get a luvly drop of pie and mash or jellied eels after....dont be put off by the east euros we got the best ol bill in the world in london.....apparently
  16. Blimey slow down !!....is their any evidence to suggest London has a higher crime rate than any other major capital city in the world then ?....you dont need to be a clever person to realise you need to be a bit careful when visiting major cities, but dont make out like Londons a no go area !...I would bet my bollocks London is a safer place for tourists than most other major capital cities around the world. As for London zoo....as has already been said i wouldnt waste your time if thats all your interested in,plenty of other zoos to choose from expecially in the summer when every enclosure at
  17. Hard to tell in a dog so young standing awkwardly on a window sill !!....Give it a while and take some better pictures then ask the question again.
  18. As much as i love the sport i will lose every bit of faith in it if Harrison ever wins a world title....which i dont think he will. Ok he landed a great punch late on in the fight but ive never seen a fighter at international level with such fear of taking a punch !!...he flinches every time a fighter starts throwing punches and in my opinion is simply not a fighter in his heart.....it was a shame for sprott he,d done the hard part.
  19. Personally i dont begrudge any sportsman or athlete anything....a man is worth what someone is willing to pay and if wayne rooney, david haye or even jenson button can become rich on the back of sport then great good luck to them. The ones i feel a little sorry for are the likes of Stephen Redgrave,5 times olympic champion at one of the toughest of all sports, possibly our greatest living sportsman and he is probably no better off financially than your average solicitor ! But thats the way the cookie crumbles i guess and you have to make the most of what your good at. As for being a Boro f

    MESSI

Id put Maradona in the top 5 but definately not the best,ok he was in a world cup winning team and won the league for Napoli virtually single handed....but lets not forget he was one of the first of the generation of out and out roll around the floor cheats, the goal he scored against us in the hand of god game went down as an all time great goal, bollocks was it...every f****r was frightened to touch him ! With a ball at his feet he was fantastic, but did he have the speed, work rate or heading ability of some of the other greats....no..... And im not even a tiny bit bitter towards the little p

    MESSI

No......i just couldnt bring myself to type the little c**ts name, besides he was only at the top 3 or 4 years....very overated in my opinion
  23. Pay attention i,ll say it again.....football is THE most popular sport not only in this country but worldwide....thats why its our national sport !....the fact people use the term " we " when speaking of their team so what !! England fought the germans in the war,i bet you say " we won " but what did you actually do ? how many shots did you personally fire ? I think your trying to cause argument where theres not one, human beings dictate whats popular and whats not and over many years human beings have dictated football is our national sport....you or me wont change that.
  24. Think he,s got a much better chance with Vladimir than he,s got with Vitali...i dont think Haye will change his style and why should he its got him to a world title and he,s not a kid...its just his style of fighting and he doesnt take too many punches,i think possibly both Klitchkos but certainly Vitali will just be too big for him,the thing on Hayes side is that he is still improving with every fight....Klitchko/s are probably as good as they will ever get. Personally id still like to see Haye change trainers Adam Booth has done well with him but he just hasnt got the big time fight experie
