Its true most Plecs were always a dull coloured fish but useful in tank hygiene, today though with the introduction of the L number Plecs they are a far more attractive fish,i have a Gold Nugget L 177 of decent size, not a cheap fish but does a good job and a nice looking fish. There are a lot of different variety L number Plecs that are very colourful and interesting fish.

Its worth keeping in mind most of the popular fish such as Siamese Fighters bought from aquatic centres really are poor specimens these days. The quality of fish available to the retail market today is nowhere near what it was 20 years ago.Its like anything that becomes too popular quality suffers, todays Siamese Fighters are a very long way from true Siamese Fighters,as Watchman says they are actually quite boring fish and are very rarely showed at their best and are a target for fin nippers such as Tiger Barbs etc. Most important is to cycle a new tank correctly before adding fish. The majorit

And im sure you have been around long enough to know you cant just go putting labels on a man because of what he looks like Ive lifted weights most of my adult life,i have a younger mrs.....am i a bozo,c**t and possible psycho killer ? Best to judge individuals as individuals.......apart from that i agree with everything your saying.Like yourself i have met lots like him, fortunately you know where you stand with them and its easy to read the situation.... its the little 9 stone weaklings that stick a knife in your back when your not looking that worry me more....well used to anyway im way

HOW ARE THE POLICE GOING TO GET OUT OF THIS ONE
gnasher16 replied to Night Hunter's topic in General Talk
Trouble is mate, probably 50% of all prisoners getting released are threatening one thing or another....they cant look into every single case. Most turn out to be nothing but occasionally,as in this instance......he meant it. Personally i just cant believe how angry and upset some folk are getting just because a man lost his head and shot a few people on the spur of the moment, theres plenty worse more revolting crimes happening every day that get a tiny corner on the 7th page of a newspaper that people dont even bother talking about anymore because its so common.....just because this Moat fe -
This sentance has got to be the most ridiculous pile of nonsense in this entire thread !!.....So because a fellas a big lump who lifts weights and has a younger bird he just has to be a bozo,c**t or even a psychotic killer !.... Well i suppose all niggers are going to pinch your wallet......all pakies smell.....and all fat people are lazy b*****ds Maybe you should go work at Passport control, you can spot a psycho killer from a photograph im sure a real life suicide bomber would be no problem at all !! I believe it was a tragic case of mental weakness and the man got everything h

[quote name='littlefish' date='13 July 2010 - 09:32 PM' timestamp='1279053125' post= Previous partners and neighbours say he was a violent man............it does sound like there was a history of abuse and violence from this man. If he was on doors then violence would have come with the territory theres nothing wrong with that....obviously if that spilled over to women/kids/everyday folk then obviously it cant be excused and what go,s around comes around etc..... Only thing i dont understand is if he was a regular on doors then he obviously had a high degree of self control......

Nobodies defending him mate,i dont know about what he,s done before but on this case alone i do feel a little sorry for the man,we have all been in situations where we are close to totally losing it for any number of reasons, thankfully 99% of us can think it through and have the mental strength to rationalise, this was clearly a weak and unstable man who tragically acted on impulse.Yes he got what he deserved as you have to pay the price for your actions. But i could never compare this mans crimes to the revolting sicko shit you here and read about every day that doesnt get anywhere near the att

Slightly off topic, but a fighter i would love to have seen compete in mma although he,s coming towards the end of his career now is Remy Bonjasky the dutch k1 fighter....on purely stand up he would have destroyed the likes of Chuck Liddell and Anderson Silva in short order.....I saw him win the a prelimanary for the World Grand Prix about 10 years ago over in Holland and followed his career ever since,he was so impressive.I guess we,ll never know.

If i was the family of the dead fella id be just a teeny bit pissed off with the girlfriend wouldnt you !!....Telling an unstable looney that your shacked up with a copper is probably not the nicest thing to do,especially when he,s not a copper.... If anyone needs standing trial for something its that soppy bitch, even if its just for stupidity !

Is that you in the picture holding him ? If so its such a refreshing change to see and hear such warmth and sincerity in one so young i wish you every happiness and god bless you and your young family.

0- 60 of a 2.8i was around 8 secs if i remember right, which was pretty quick back then.....top end was 135ish......i had 140 out of a 3.0 ghia once on the a2 down to dover,my arse dropped out when it felt like the whole car was going to fall to pieces and i backed out I had a mk2 rs2000 escort nosecone job around 1982 it was only a few years old, there used to be a place called Burton Power Products over Romford way i put it in there and just said " make it quick "....came back with a rolling road sheet that made no sense to me whatsoever and 170 bhp at the wheels, that encouraged me to throw

I always keep an eye out for Jaspers posts they are normally on subjects that bring a few memories flooding back. I had a 2.0s almost identical to the one pictured,a 3.0 ghia and a 2.8 injection....the amount of times the arse would slide out in the wet, funny days.Remember how you could almost stand in the engine bay,i opened up the bonnet of my motor last week i couldnt work out what the f**k was what, and you would need hands like a 4 year old to get to anything! My sons in the middle of doing a cosworth escort in a mark 2 shell.I had a few of the rs escorts back years ago, sold an old on

Pigeon hole you ...there to correct you ....who are you then do we know each other,to me you are a name on an internet forum nothing more nothing less i wasnt aware we had ever communicated before,to be honest i dont really pay much attention to peoples names, other than a few whos writings i find particularly interesting.......and your not one of them Money can help get the greatest physical and mental help available to man, doctors with letters after their name in pretty white gowns in scenic country grounds like the Priory and the like.......until a person admits to having an addict

Just cause i dont feel sorry for him you've decided all this about me........well good for you then. Exactly my point "what joy have you gave to the average man on the street".......lets get this straight, he was a f*****g good footballer but no better a human being than you or me. And maybe it is a disease but its a self inflicted 1 and 1 that many people recover from, people that dont have the money or help that he would have got!! Happy to have a

Yep agree....unfortunately its the nature of this country to build our sports stars and celebrities up and up and up until they reach the top......then desperately try to drag them back down with whatever mistakes they make or scandal they can find. I cant stand the yanks but give them their due when a sports star hits the top over there,he stays at the top his whole life,he is not dragged down for any tiny mistake he ever makes in life.
-
Well what a big bad toughie you are,i wouldnt dare mess with you i couldnt compete with such a seriously intense and hard natured individual, you really are quite formidable No he probably wouldnt feel sorry for you.....but then who are you ? what joy have you given to the average man in the street? Yes he was an idol and yes he is now a laughing stock....but part of what makes a professional sportsman a great is mental strength,Gazza didnt have any,is that reason to pull him to shreds,no it just means despite his proven physical talent he wasnt blessed with mental strength and discipline...

[quote name='lab-tastic' date='10 July 2010 - 02:11 PM' timestamp='1278767487' Are we ment to feel sorry for him because he is an alcoholic like? Not me! Lets not kid ourselves that hes had some hard life, he was a great talent that couldn't handle it and went down a slippery slope. Some people may like to think of him as the cheeky chappy but some might just think he is a bum. Yes we are supposed to feel sorry for him, same as any sane decent person would feel sorry for anyone with a life threatening illness !! I supposed George Best was " just a bum " in your eyes as well..... Ga

Thats why i have reservations about Dana White.....a good " product " will sell itself....and mma/ufc is a good product......it doesnt need money from freak shows it needs money as a competetive legitimate sport. Dana White thinks he is being trendy and a " no shit " kind of guy when he calls people " motherfuckers " etc on tv interviews.....it only shows a simple lack of class and it is things like that which keep the sport as just another " trend ". When did you ever hear Frank Warren or Don King swear like that on a tv interview. I believe at this stage of a new sport like mma its qua
-
Personally i think thats a total backward step....if mma is to be taken seriously as a sport then the last thing it needs is dosey wwf fans,in fact anything to do with that pathetic nonsense......any association with that will bring with it the showbiz/entertainment value......and for a serious sport thats the last thing it needs. Dana White has been great for the commercial side, but the man is an idiot with no class who i believe keeps the sport down rather than promoting it in a positive way.

You see Kye this is where i think the whole sport/fight thing can get confusing,i dont for one minute believe mma is " a true fight "....you know yourself its not. So i guess you could call it a sport, but then when the ufc try to make claims like " mma shows what style/s would win a real fight " is a load of old bollocks ! Back in the early 90,s when no rules fighting first came about it really was a fight, then when they brought so many rules in to make it more watchable and to fit in with state laws and tv companies etc i felt they sold out on the actual " real fight " description but ye
-
Thats an interesting analogy you make their Kye....the thing that strikes me as ironic about the 3 names you mentioned, all 3 Dempsey,Tyson and Marciano were predominantly sluggers relying on brute force, apart from Marciano the other 2 both came unstuck against technically better fighters at the top level. In other words their brute force, strength and pure violence wasnt enough. This is what im saying about mma,Brock Lesnar has proved that brute force, strength and agility CAN overcome superior technical ability at the highest level, which has been proven does not happen in boxing, particularly
