Whether you like it or not a crime by a foreigner in England is going to get peoples backs up more than if it was the same crime committed by an Englishman....thats perfectly natural.....if i cut the head off of a Paki in Pakistan it would get more attention and coverage and get the backs up of locals moreso than if a Paki cut another Pakies head off......thats human nature. Dont know why they had Hodgson in the first place,a few good years at Fulham dont qualify a manager for a top job at a top club...and Hodgson aint Liverpool quality on the back of a few good years at Fulham. It seems these days you aint gotta be proven for long to get the best jobs....look at Andy Carroll as an example now valued at 25 million on the back of half a good season ! I agree with the above.....The mere presence of Dalgliesh will raise the game of most players.....a bit like the effect Beckham will have at Spurs.

Fair comment but they also cause more accidents than probably any other single object on our roads ! Anyone read about that old boy the other day who was taken to court for " Attempting to pervert the course of Justice "....because he flashed an oncoming motorist warning him about a speed camera ahead .....Just about sums up the real reason they are there,they are a money collecting box not a road safety box !

I might be wrong but i think they normally allow you 10% before following up,which by my shoddy maths is 33 mph......so your borderline,might be lucky....was it a gatso job and did it flash once or twice.

What a waste of a good man,remember speaking with him before i even knew where Canada was.... telling me how 75% of the year was minus 20 temperatures and below and how he never lost a dog to the cold.....we thought we had it tough with the dda...dont compare to keeping a big yard like he had in them conditions. Registered with who....the English Kennel Club ? possibly the most corrupt shower of c**ts in the dog world !.....give me an unregistered honest bulldog over some lump of registered showbred crap any day of the week. What i am referring to is purity within the breed.....dogs that have been family bred for 100 years like some strains like the Colby family have bred over the generations or the Tudor/Mayfield lines.....direct,authentic,recorded lineage genetically pure over 100 years......dogs that within a litter are all perfectly kin to each other in todays times as they was 100 years ago.....

A 3000 year pedigree,your quite sure about that ? Im not talking about how long certain breeds have existed,im talking about how many other breeds EXACT pedigree dog for dog throughout the generations can be traced back 100 years.....in my old house i had a wall in the spare room with over two thousand names on it,and that was over only 11 or 12 generations going back about 75 years....... You must have a f****n big wall if you can trace a dogs pedigree back 3000 years !

Horrible news that.... shared a ring with Gary many times back during the ,s and remained friends until about a year ago.....strong boxer but had a nasty streak to him....at a time like this if you cant say something good i suppose you shouldnt say anything,so....Gary was a strong principalled,loyal to his family,very generous man with a good buiseness head.....he was also a fitness fanatic,which looks like he paid the ultimate price for. Will be missed by many....my heart go,s out to his family. I dont normally touch the beer but i might have a few today....very sad news.

The thing is Wilf Arsenal are a massive club with worldwide support,we are not.....Arsenal had a 40,000 waiting list for season tickets.....and still do !......we dont......another thing is Arsenal moved 150 yards down the road......not 3 miles away.....i know it dont sound a lot but we are a traditional old club theres a lot of people of my/our generation who will call it a day as reagrds actively following the club........and we rely on " local support " where big clubs like Arsenal dont they have fans coming from all over,same as Man Utd,Chelsea etc......shiny new ground or not its no attra

Im no historian and not much of a book reader either.....but for me the Apbt is possibly the purest breed of dog in existence,what other dog in todays times ancestry can be reliably traced back over 100 years ! As regards the England/America thing i tend to agree with duckwing.....look at charlie lloyds pilot,an english dog taken to america....or the original colby dogs exported from ireland.......america has its own version of a staffordshire bull terrier,its a show bred version of an apbt.......no different to our strains of showbred staffordshire compared to the irish stafford......trace a

I reckon going down could be all part of a plan myself mate....Go down, re-structure the debts, get a nice drink to move into the olympic stadium, loose all the dead wood kick-a-balls hanging round the team and the big money/no return has beens, couple of seasons re-building, come back up and resume normal service. They would be selling Upton Park for redevelopment too, all add up to a few quid. My belief is a dog has to earn the title of being called a bulldog ....and only the very highest calibre of the breed are real bulldogs .....the rest are just American Pit Bull Terriers.

Lungworm is certainly on the increase in Britain.....dont forget it can be picked up simply by your dog drinking from a puddle !....Most likely the dog will have eaten a slug or snail by accident chewing branches or playing with a toy......must admit ive never heard of a dog going downhill as quick as 2 days maybe the dog had it for a while before that ? Panacur is effective against it.

....I was around the breed years and years meeting many good people dedicated to the breed,and never once heard them described as " pits ".....its only in recent years with the american influence on the street hoodlum wannabe gangster type that ive heard them called " pits " and it just makes me cringe every time i hear it......im sure others who have been around the breed awhile will know where im coming from. Yes but he did it right from the start so there were no " old ways "....i wouldnt say he f****d the game up as he probably didnt realise at the time what was ahead.....but the reality is he probably did more harm than good,and for what....he never worked a dog in his life but made a lot of money off people who did......and more off people who didnt. Which dont seem right really......but as you rightly say £££££££,s does it for some people.

While i agree with the above....there were just as many bad owners back then as there are now,whats worse now is the quality of the breed.....back then the breed hadnt been messed with so much and they were still relatively pure of what they actually were.......today they are so far removed from what the breed actually is that nobody really knows what they have,even the pure ones are not pure in the truest sense of the word. And incidentally a " pit ".....is an excavated hole or cavity in the ground....not a breed of dog

Now thats not altogether a bad idea.......Apparently they was blatantly time wasting with 10 minutes of the first half gone !!...and played there usual 5-4-1 formation....not the way to play football is it mate....i dare say even my little Hammers could survive playing like that,but it just wouldnt be accepted.. you got to at least try to play football.
