    BOXING

He,s 6 foot 5 odd and around 18 stone.....fighting a smaller man who dont take a great shot......thats a puncher enough ! I spoke with Tony Burns this morning who had Harrison at Repton as an amateur he reckons " if " Harrisons head is right and he maintains concentration he has a good chance.Id go along with that. Personally i hope Haye wins as it will be good for boxing but i dont think its as straight forward as some folk seem to think.
  2. Being linked to the Krays back then was seen as a good career move if you was that way inclined,if you was a criminal from East London and you wasnt linked to the Krays you were seen as fair game simply because they wanted to control everything. If you was straight going people there was no problem my old dad was a fearless man who would take shit from no man but he never had any bother as the Krays were not interested in law abiding folk, infact from what the ol man said they was always generous, kind and helpful. Im no cheerleader for the Krays i just think its all been a bit overdone and exag
  3. No never,i was a kid when they was around, but i trust the word of enough folk who did know them to be able to accept it wasnt all like its been portrayed through books etc.....Put it this way,id rather live in the Bethnal Green of the 60,s than the Bethnal Green of today, and 99% of Londoners would say the same so life couldnt have been that bad back then.

    BOXING

Quite possibly.....but like i said Harrison has only 1 real strength and Haye has only 1 real weakness......do the maths and its a recipe for disaster, particularly in heavyweight boxing.

    BOXING

For those of you lads giving Harrison no chance i,ll just remind you....it can often take 1 punch to change everything in heavyweight boxing. 2 important things to consider for those writing off Harrison.... 1.Harrison has only one real strength ( a powerful punch ) 2.Haye has only one real weakness ( a suspect chin ) Put them both together and it makes for an interesting scenario
  6. If i didnt know the family id probably agree with you mate as its easy to see how it could look that way based on that article so im not trying to pull apart what your saying.Garys father is a friend from way back and like any father he went through a lot at the time this happened, nothing compared to the family who suffered the loss of course but a lot came out in the trial that would not have done if not for the fact that they were a boxing family. For a start it was tried at number 1 court of the Old Bailey !! ...it also came out that during this incident Gary was being attacked by 2 men,one
  7. Shouldnt do yourself down like that mate i wouldnt say it was a below par Chelsea i actually thought they played ok they just couldnt break yous down thats all.Theres a lot to be said for doing the basics correctly and being together and thats what Liverpool did.The 3 or 4 world class players you have will be enough to secure top 7....i guess its just the few who are not really Liverpool quality thats going to stop you being top 4,this year anyway. Glad to see a big club beat a little club anyway
  8. Gary was a good boxer, not great but good enough to compete at a high level his biggest struggle was with his weight he wasnt big enough for the heavyweight division but struggled at cruiserweight......he lost to a young David Haye but did beat a few notable names.....His troubles were about 5 years ago he,s in Highpoint in Suffolk at the moment but not due for release till 2016.....in fairness Gary wasnt my cuppa tea but he certainly wasnt a murderer yet thats what he was convicted of.....To be convicted of murder " intent to kill " has to be proven....Gary hit a mans head too hard, that head t
  9. Im not really a rugby fan but seeing the haka is without doubt one of the icons in sport so i went to see the game yesterday,i found it a little disappointing how the english crowd sung over it,its obviously a tradition thats to be respected in my opinion not shouted down.As regards the game itself i didnt know what was going on half the time .....but im glad i went it was a big occasion and certainly a great stadium.I was surprised how different the crowd is to the football crowd,so much more passive and nowhere near as intense...i was amazed you could sit and have a beer while watching the
  10. Without doubt the fella was a bully with no class and no moral fibre, its easy to have a killer punch when the persons not squared up to you or in this case even looking at you !....the punches that do most damage are the ones you dont see coming. What i find strange is why any pub/club would employ a 22 year old kid with very little life experience in a position of such responsibility,it could be said the pub/club itself is partly responsible. The sentancing on situations like this are never reliable either,a friend of mines son was sentanced to life and is currently serving a minimum of 11
  11. Not really a drinker to be honest mate but i love the big occasion no matter what the sport and should be a good day,i think talent is obvious even when you dont know what your looking at so i should catch on quick enough
  12. Must admit im not much of a rugby fan, cant say i even know the rules completely ....but im a sports fan and love to see the icons of worldwide sport.Im sacrificing watching my West Ham tomorrow to go to Twickenham ive always wanted to see the all blacks do the haka, its one of those true honest sporting traditions every sports fan must see. From what im told we havent got much chance of winning, but really looking forward to the occasion anyway.
  13. Hilarious....i reckon 90% of people talking about Londoners on this thread are northerners,or at least not London people.....i was a kid when the Krays were banged up and the reality is they are far more well known today than they was then !....Yes they was known,as were the Richardsons,Smiths and probably the most feared family in London the Nashes....just because the Krays have had a few dozen books written about them people seem to take them writings and repeat it all as fact and make judgement of real life based on books that are far from truthful. In a strange way growing up in Bethnal G
  14. How a man who flogs the arse out of deformed dogs purely for financial gain can be a " top bloke " is beyond me....but then i guess we all see different qualities/faults in our fellow man.......and he,s obviously not rich enough or he wouldnt compromise his morals for money, unless he just dont have no morals of course which in fairness most puppy peddlars dont! The fact puppy peddlars are so disliked is perfectly normal to folk with a genuine interest in dogs, thats not jumping on a bandwagon its just common sense.
  15. The reason there is 2 people holding them is they are more than likely being held by a couple of 8 stone pakis with their jeans hanging round there knees !.....more asian money making bullshit.
  16. Even worse then !...so he,s breeding fashion items for financial gain, tell him to get a job and stop prostituting his animals out.....to me its pretty self explannatory,if the man likes working dogs why is he f****n around with good for nothing british bulldogs....dont take much working out does it
  17. Did i read that right, the bloke was banged up for 6 months If some prick came up with a camera and started filming me he,d do well to get away with only falling in a ditch !
  18. I was purposely ignoring the question so as not to open a can of worms........too late Just remember Clash 90% of what you read in those books is bullshit
  19. Lets cut the bullshit, the mans a peddlar plain and simple, the very worst kind in my book....and i dont mean to be impolite. So what, because he has professionally built kennels and feeds a good feed that makes it ok ....." im keeping one back for myself but the other 6 are all for sale for 1500 pound each " : that old chestnut ! You say yourself he breeds for money, thats a peddlar....what in my opinion makes him the worst kind of peddlar is that he charges such an extortionate amount of money for pups, the type of money that encourages others to be peddlars as well......its easy to buy a
  20. No fair do,s....just im sure you understand that to make rash judgements based on what you read in newspapers is not always wise.Im sure theres plenty of hunting folk who have been on the wrong end of rash judgements based on media sensationalism The man was doing his job as a " not guilty " in a court of law indicated....the kid paid the ultimate price and didnt deserve the end he got for the problem he started.....but like i say accidents happen in those situations. Incidentally...heres another point of view, the kid was in police custody when he died after running round central London na
  21. wilf... Lenny was doing his job same as you or i would to the best of our ability but sometimes accidents happen, they always have and always will happen particularly in an environment like that.....theres a reason Lenny was THE most sought after bouncer in London and its not because he was a unstable nutbag......shit dont take my word for it ask around, theres not many people with a bad word to say about the man !
  22. Sorry chief....all sorted.
  23. The majority of the " im a big hard gangster " books are 90% bullshit and 10% truth...the best thing Danny ever did was had one of the greatest dogs in England.....you have to ask yourself why any man who has earned a living from crime would wish to tell the general public about it,if they had been succesful at it they wouldnt need the desperate pennies a book would make would they An old pal of mine who did a book and featured in a tv program says it was the biggest mistake he ever made....a lot of folk told him not to but he knew best at the time, some things are learned too late ! Its al
