Thats absolutely true....well done to the little lad,its not my cuppa tea but all of the fight sports will encourage good qualities in a boy. I believe its a " lead a horse to water but you cant make it drink " kind of scenario.......my lad comes from a fighting family going back 3 generations but he just didnt have it in him.....as much as i encouraged him he just wanted to kick a ball !

I can well believe it....i dont wanna sound soppy as arseholes but he is a genuine nice kid,well brought up and makes the whole of East London proud he,s out of this area....very few top stars today conduct their lives in the correct way but he has from day 1.....never met him myself but my lad knows a few of his old pals from Chingford he,s still in regular contact with his mates from school days no matter where in the world he is...never forgot his roots and you gotta admire that.

You have said what most people say....BUT....this is not a buying club,never has been.....West Ham have a fantastic tradition of bringing through young local players and has done a better job of it than any other club in England....that is what this club was built on.....not buying average foreign players picking up a wage packet ! Avram Grant has a reputation for buying abroad.....these are players no better than we have coming through the reserves they just get wages with a few more 00,s on the end ! Must admit i didnt see his fight the other night though im told he walked it.... Your missing the point mate.....i already moved to a fantastic area 10 years ago.....but i cant move my buisenesses,family and friends as well who all remain in an area i grew up in but now detest ! I dont want to live in a different culture i love my own culture....you do and thats fine......i dont think some folk appreciate the frustration others feel.
