I have every respect for amateurs GTE....but i was referring to pros,whereby you might have 2 or 3 fights per year.....obviously theres a big difference between pro/amateur in every aspect of the sport.....nobody can train year round and then peak thats how staleness comes about......i think it would be hard to say somebody like Ricky Hatton was a physically fit man wouldnt you

Dave Jones is the latest.....it was Kevin Keen a few days ago.....Ian Dowie yesterday and Chris Hughton before that.... As long as its not that tosspot Alardyce im happy with either of them.....would prefer Keen or Hughton though.

Thing is though bench press is predominantly a chest/tricep exercise and most women will struggle to do 1 correct press up as they are just not particularly strong in them areas so its near impossible for them to gain any fitness that way. What you say about boxers is a myth....i boxed for many years at a decent level,it took me to become a bodybuilder years later to really get an understanding of the body.A boxer peaks his body for 1 day ( his fight ) and cannot hold that condition all year round.Everything is geared for that 1 day and timing is everything,hitting that peak....thats not true

If your a fighter mate you will know losing water is not losing weight,once rehydrated your the same weight.....as has been said.....just say no to binbags

Not to pick holes in your thoughts mate....but the trouble with using ONLY cardio for weight loss is that most overweight people will run out of puff long before they run out of strength ( arms and legs as you call it ).....in other words their heart muscle is the first muscle to tire. Using weights can certainly aid weight loss....low weight high reps for toning,heavy weight low reps for building,as im sure you know .....i know what your saying about boxers,must say over my lifetime though ive found boxing folk actually have far less understanding of general fitness than many other spor

Id have said it before that.....a mans getting a dog for free and he hasnt got the decency to come and get it,if he cant get his life sorted enough to come and get it,he certainly hasnt got anything in him to look after it ! Take another trip over and get the dog back...if he,s flogged it on kick him in the c**t and learn from it.

It would actually be the slowest way to do it Training Diary = Day 1 - Train.....Day 2,3,4,5,6,7 - Rest and recover from injury.....Day 8 = Train .....etc etc etc

Be nice if it actually worked like that....but in reality plateaus will always occur simply because the difference in energy intake and energy expenditure gradually balances out,hence weight loss gradually slows over time until it stops.For weight loss there always has to be a negative energy balance,or calorie deficit.....without it weight loss cannot occur. Incidentally....12 weeks at 2lb a week is actually 24lb ...but i know what your saying

Its an impossible question to answer without knowing a lot more,weight loss will be different for everybody dependant on a lot of factors....age/build/diet/work/rest....you might just have a slower metabolism......dont really know why your taking protein shakes ....supplements are just that,they supplement the diet they dont replace it.
