Saw Mccloskey beat our local lad Colin Lynes a few years back he boxed intelligently and was very elusive,whether he can stand with Khan in a toe to toe i doubt but if Khan walks in overconfident Mccloskey has enough to give him a scare,southpaw as well so gives Khan more to think about. Id think Khan will stop him in the first third of the fight but the longer it go,s the better Mccloskeys chances.

Crazy....folk dont seem to have any pride in their kids no more....i was never the greatest parent in the world but i always knew i could take my kids anywhere and they would never embarrass me,they knew their manners.....apart from that i spoiled them every chance i got.... This buiseness of finding it funny the first time you hear your kid say " f**k off c**t " i find amazing....what a slur on you as a parent to have to hear that.

I just think its something each individual has to make a decision on,its not for everyone.... i got plenty of clips,slippers,canes...my school was very strict....but as a big strong fella it just wasnt for me my kids were my babies i was a complete soft touch....but i can fully understand why parents would its not like they are dishing out a beating thats going to emotionally scar a kid...it makes me laugh all these new age ideas of parenting when the fact is we have the worst disciplined kids of any other generation in history !!....maybe these new age ideas just dont work !

And thats where we just have to put trust in teachers to do the right thing......as citizens we put a certain element of trust in the police to make tough decisions and use correct judgement......so we should do the same with teachers. Unfortunately everyones frightened of their own shadow and have to tip toe about through fear of offending or upsetting someone.....society is getting weaker and weaker not stronger and stronger.....so what works and what doesnt.

no steady on......clip round the ear not smack round the head dont go putting words in my mouth. a clip round the ear gets a kids attention,well it certainly did me anyway....with some harsh words it did the trick a lot quicker than the harsh words alone..... no teacher would smack a kid of mine around the head a second time....theres a difference.

A clip round the ear doesnt leave a deep emotional stain,and if it does then that kid needs to get an idea of what lifes about.Like becoming a man and never standing up for himself because he,s been taught its wrong to hit out. Never laid a finger on my kids it wasnt for me....but i dont see nothing wrong with a clip round the ear if it gets the message home....oh what terrible parenting skills !

In an ideal world yes......in the real world kids misbehave sometimes,i accept that.....what i dont accept is when it go,s unpunished because a teachers hands are tied.

Absolutely.....too many parents today give it the " dont you touch my little Eric "......as responsible people we should give teachers a little trust in the way they discipline our kids....ok i know its not even an issue now due to the pc madness,but if my kids were back at school,unless my lad came home bashed up then id accept he deserved what a teacher gave him. So thats how it works is it teachers blame parents and parents blame teachers...standard pass the buck stuff i suppose. Smoke weed,get pissed and try to get laid........at 5 ? if im not wrong kids start school at 4 or 5.....if by 12/13/14 they are doing the things you mention im sure schools must take at least a bit of responsibility having had 7 odd years with them. That said if a teacher/school cant discipline a kid without fear of being sacked for mistreatment......then what chance do they have.

Im sure theres some cracking teachers out there what im saying is they have their hands tied to what most of us would regard as common sense.....to me an art teacher taking a pe class is barmy !....the power of a teacher has been reduced to nothing,thats not their fault but the dogooding pc world we live in....years ago being sent to the headmasters office would fill a kid with dread now they probably dont give a monkeys.....the respect between child and teacher has gone completely so the fact that for most kids the first experience of real life qualities such as discipline,hard work,respect e

The reality is teachers are simply not respected figures anymore.When i was young we had some teachers we were scared shitless of,some we just gave a wide berth to and others we could get along with,but we never had any teachers we could take the piss out of like kids do today.Teachers just dont command respect anymore. A little fear of a teacher gains a kids attention,when that teacher says listen you listen,and ultimately learn more than if you didnt listen.Teachers today are a soft touch.Look at PE teachers as an example,when i was at school our pe teacher was a good allround sportsman and
