Stone the crows 14 pages of fellas in their 40's/50's/60's on about clothing and not one mention of Sergio or Lacoste....not a Fila Terrinda trackie top insight !!......us West Ham boys in the 80's would pitch up to grounds in a nice diamond Pringle and Farahs only to be greeted by some Northern scruff in a blue Parka with a furry hood or a farmer in dungarees......and as for these dopes with their silly mod haircuts zipping about on a scooter f****n roll on.....we had the old East End boys/West End girls thing going on,some dolled up sort out of the offices would of blown a raspberry at you p

Just for clarity are we talking about chin ups here or pull ups ? Chin ups mainly work the biceps, Pull ups mainly work the lats........the diameter of the bar you are pulling on makes a massive difference a small diameter bar grip strength doesnt come into it but try doing it from a scaffold pole and your grip will give out before your muscles do. Likewise pull ups from gymnastic rings instead of a bar where you can turn the grip to palms in takes it from a lat exercise to a bicep exercise.....wide grip chin ups off of a scaffold pole diameter bar i agree with Golly 20 reps is good

He was a nice fella Danny a good 10- 15 years older than me i met him in the mid 90's i was due to come back down South to a Cat D ready for release and he'd given me a few names/numbers up that way if i ever wanted to have a few bare knuckle fights as i didnt have a pot to piss in upon release...ended up having a few fights down here and working on doors etc but never forgot his kindness he was a genuine gentle giant, big bear of a man hands like shovels i cant remember now if he was a gypsy or just fought against them....good rough old boy though be interested to know if he's still around.

Ive seen the arm wrestler Alexei Voevoda do reps of them....which at around 265 lb bodyweight is a pretty amazing feat of arm/grip stength.
-
Sounds a bit of a strange carry on.....liked him in that Enemy of the State film with Jon Voight....from pictures i saw of him recently Hackman in his 90's looked about 160,proper living dead turn out

Are you from Doncaster mate ?....if so would you,or maybe even your father happen to know if Danny Shenton is still alive ?.....he was a proper hard case from Doncaster in the 80's,very good bare knuckle fighter he was due to fight the gypsy geezer Bartley i forget the surname now, at Doncaster races but there was some sort of big skirmish between rival gypsy gangs and it never went ahead.....Dannys bench press record in Armley nick still stands to this day as far as im aware....he'd be in his 70's now.

4 pull ups per minute for 30 minutes.......i think the only thing stopping a reasonably strong, healthy person from being able to do that would be the boredom !
-
My son has been going there years its just things i remember him telling me ages ago.....i guess its changed now.
-
Dont think Eubank has ever been up that high mate i think he walks around at 175ish.....and he keeps himself in good nick between fights he wont struggle to do the weight its whatever rehydration clause Benn can have put in that could mess him up.
-
I thought that Smith/Buatsi was a brilliant scrap.....best fight ive seen in a while......that lad Sheeraz nicking a draw was diabolical.......good to see the right man get the nod in the Bivol/Beterbiev bout......for me Bivol landed the cleaner shots with enough volume to negate Beterbiev's pressure......beyond the Buatsi/Smith fight i thought it turned out a pretty poor card.
-
I agree i think its a decent fight in all fairness.......2 wasted careers so far but stylistically its an interesting match up......should they really be fighting each other no i suppose not but compared to some of the pathetic match ups of late at least they are both high level boxers ! As for the egg thing......all eggreed beforehand....maybe not the eggxact plan, but a melee at some point was eggstremely likely.

My son does a lot of business in Japan and is over there often he really rates the place as well as the people.....he always says that for a heavily populated city Tokyo puts London to shame regards cleanliness and overall standard of living. Apparently Japan is the only nation in the world that does not give Citizenship to Muslims, permanent residency is not given to Muslims infact they cannot even rent a house.....The Japanese government regard Islam as a mental illness they refuse the sale or import of the Koran published in Arabic, refuse to have the Islamic language taught in the Unive

They took a chance on him and it clearly didnt pay off....but to continue trying to force a bit of form out of him is just embarrassing the geezer is mentally shot and physically lost the pace he had....just put a kid in.......bit naive of Arteta really.

Only bit of advice id give with starting strongman stuff is start off light and master the techniques.....ive seen plenty of gym lifters venture into strongman type lifts and get injured almost immediately, not because of the weight but because of the complete difference in movements working the body in a way that gym lifts dont. Just type into Google functional strength for beginners you'll find one somewhere those type of gyms are opening up all over the place as does anything that becomes " trendy "

Nothing wrong with that, good for you mate...him,whoever it is.....decent progress, stick at it.

My first game for a while i must be a lucky charm as i thought we'd get trounced Good display i thought, bringing Ward Prowse back was a good move and im glad to see little Ollie Scarles getting a start.....still think we're a bit reliant on Bowen to nick a goal.....and watching the Gooners ripping Raheem Sterling to shreds was hilarious the geezer plays like Norman Wisdom these days !

Machetes, machine guns, rape gangs, honour killings just a few of the " new cultural enrichment " by products we are lucky enough to have inherited.

Not different no.....just more, again the stats are there. Brixton 274 crimes per 1000 people Peckham 238 per 1000 people Tottenham 216 per 1000 people Bethnal Green 153 per 1000 people Pretty much the same as its always been over the years.... it is what it is.

What bareknuckle shows in the 80's ?......i dont remember any bareknuckle shows....plenty of simple up and down straighteners involving 2 lads,a trusted third party to hold the dough, and a few chaps on each side incase it went wonky.......but never " shows "....it wasnt really seen as a big deal back then,if you wasnt in those circles your run of the mill geezer in the pub would never even of known it was happening...........unlike this nonsense where they are hyping it up and arguing like schoolkids to get a few more eyes on them, embarrassing drama attention seeking bollocks if you ask me,but

Illness ....f**k right off !

My son is over there several times a year says similar to you Newkid.....respectful people, clean city etc.....he's been to a few footie matches at Fc Tokyo there ground is close to the airport beautiful 50k capacity stadium, he really likes it there.
-
The stats dont lie they was always absolute dumps, the trendy eateries on Acre Lane and Coldharbour Lane dont mask the estates behind them.....when they brought in Operation Trident in the 90's it was first proposed by black community leaders to tackle the disproportionate gun crime of those groups of people in those areas. They can pump as much money as they like in,they can tart up all them estates.......the people are still the same.
-
I just dont get it mate, whats all the fascination about 2 blokes having a straightener we was having them every other week years ago only difference being you got nicked for breach of the peace so had to keep a low one....these lads are making out like its a big deal turning a simple tear up into a soap opera.....and theres normal everyday bods following there every move its pathetic if you ask me.....and for what Youtube likes or whatever they're called, that clearly amount to no more than paper round money ffs !
-
Hope you're doing ok mate.....probably like yourself i have folk around me who try to be kind and supportive who you push away in an attempt to take it on the chin and try to just endure the pain alone but im gradually learning that it does help to listen to people....a quote someone said to me a while ago that stuck with me as something to hold onto is that " Grief is the terrible reminder of the depths of our love "...wish you the best pal.

You could never trust Dubois in a long uncomfortable war so thats where Parker has to take it. Looking forward to the Buatsi/ Smith fight and the main one of course between the Russians.....think they're going over the top a bit saying its the best card ever put together although its probably the first time that so many of the fights are 50/50 or at least low odds fights.....there'll be a few good accumulator winners thats for sure think i'll put one together myself later on
