Regards sub cultures im reliably informed that the streets of East London in the early 2000's was where the gritty genre of " Grime Culture " erupted......how embarrassing ! Im also told that " Roadmen " and " Broccoli Boys " appear to be the dominant groups amongst young lads at the moment .....whereas young women apparently tend to side with either your vegan/eco friendly/recycle as much as possible serious types......or your wannabe posh types who only ever say " oh reeeaallly " as a contribution to conversations.......or Essex girls even if not from Essex ! I certainly dont envy

You dont need fancy address if your still zipping about on them little hairdryers Speaking of saddo's trying to hold onto a bird.....where i live theres a big long road that for years has been renowned for bikers meeting up on a summer Sunday riding up and down like melts !....theres a little tea hut they all stop at in the middle of the forest i stop and have a cuppa with the dog sometimes have a quick people watch.....the amount of Mr Bean looking no marks getting off them bikes with a bird on the back, forced to take their crash helmet off only to reveal the most wretched bottom of th

It must have been a Scottish thing....ive gotta be honest ive not heard of them and i always booked myself as reasonably knowledgeable of that era's trotters......are they nylon ?.....running shoes types ?......dont ever remember a running type shoe being the thing back then....of the Adidas back then if it wasnt either Samba,Super Samba,Forest Hills,Trimm Trab,Beckenbaur,Hamburg was it and maybe a few others then you just wasnt the kiddie....certainly not nylons, or maybe the memories fading

Absolutely right........perfect example, id have torn somebodies throat out to own these years ago. Now i dont need them they're ten a penny !!

As the mrs always reminds me.... for garden use only
-
Theres always been an element of that though mate in my experience most of the chaps who were actually busy at that lark back when it was popular see it for what it was nowadays.....just young lads having a laugh and look back and reminisce about in that way. Whereas chaps who were never around it in the first place now want to talk about it like its the most important thing in the world and always was ! Like many other things it was part of young English lads culture but its gone now.

Oooo not sure about that.....white trotters over the age of 40 is a big no no for me i think the only trainers us older gents can really pull off are the old Super Samba or them dark lightweight ones......i must have 20 pairs of 80's trainers still in the original boxes upstairs.....im not really a hoarder as such just cant bring myself to sling them out
-
Lois cords....not them sandy colour ones that made your tackle look twice the size it really is ! Bin the Gazelles off they was pony even back then, just cheapo Super Sambas......i was a Forest Hills man myself I love an 80's party all the birds with their big hair and earrings......thats the time to bring the Lois cords out

So you're a skinhead now whether you like it or not .....life has a funny way of compensating eh !
-
Probably mate yes she knows everything about all those cases.....shes the only bird ive ever known who has a " favourite " serial killer
-
For the mens 80's clobber keep an eye out for the Mr Bransons chain of shops mate they're opening up all over the place.....some cracking little finds ive bought a few bits and bobs just to hang on the wall
-
Difference being i havent dressed up like a tennis player for 40 odd years.......by the sound of it you're still bopping about on your little pop pop bikes to this day
-
No problem mate his name came up in conversation the other week and i just wondered if he's still alive thats all....thanks anyway.
-
Good little clip that.....its always tickled me how some people think theres something strange about wanting to test yourself and see how far you can push your mind into the pain of physical improvement.....quite a sad reflection of society really to think theres something wrong with developing your health, strength and fitness.....for years i had people ask why and id reply with the same easy answer......because i enjoy it.....it really is that simple.
-
Thats the place under Waterloo Bridge if im not wrong.....my daughter has a morbid fascination for serial killers so we had a walk round there, bit of a mad ol gaff ! Think it was just her way of trying to get me into the electric chair if im honest
-
It was important to know your Diadora Borg Elite from a Super Samba back in the 80's mate......again,the Northerners didnt mind getting battered wearing maroon dungarees but us East End lads liked to get battered in style
-
Theres a reason that the people who hate us most will do anything to live with us. Its a sad state of society when even " science " has been infiltrated.......the one thing you thought you could rely on ffs !
-
Tacchini Multi Stripe thats a good top that.....ive still got a Tacchini Damarindo the old funnel neck one in claret and blue ......probably still got proper claret on it somewhere not mine hopefully ! Not sure about the vest though.
-
Nah i always liked the E17 version better they slowed it right down the Pet Shop Boys one always sounds rushed to me. If a lifetime of strength and fitness training means i now cant get into Stone Island clobber then so be it........but not every bloke past 40 has the same little 38 inch pigeon chest they had when they was 13 and still be able to pull off XL Stone Island gear !
-
If you was still wearing all that clobber when the internet came along you must of looked a right toby it was 70's/80's gear . There was always bigger sized Lacoste stuff they just changed how they converted the sizing from French for the Yank market.....ive got some old size 7 polo's up in the loft i had as a youngster that i can barely get past my shoulders now The ol woman bought me an old favourite i had years ago in some retro place on holiday the other year had to have a size 10!....the biggest they go is size 11 fto fit a 58 inch chest i think it was so you'll be alright
-
Thats a Mk 1 Setanta if im not wrong.....nah Fila stuff had to be the Bjorn Borg gear mate if it wasnt Bj then it didnt count ........wouldnt be seen dead in any of it these days but still good gear to knock around the house in.

Just finished that series A Thousand Blows....not sure what to make of it....while its not historically inaccurate as black fighters like Bill Richmond and Tom Molineaux did really exist in Regency/Victorian England its not like they took over as this series makes out....Jack Broughton,Daniel Mendoza,Tom Cribb,Tom Sayers,Jem Mace,Jem Belcher and many more had the game sewn up back then i think diversity is forced to a degree on these series whereby they are not eligible for certain awards if they dont fulfil diversity requirements so have to go full " poor victim black face ". much of the time

Nice one thankyou Steve.

Mid life crisis geezers with that dopey Oasis/Weller type haircut ....c**ts, no other word for them.
