  1. Went out for a bit of a mooch around the shoot this morning with dog and gun. Firstly went to an area where I usually see plenty of rabbits, had a walk around there for an hour or so with the air rifle; only got one shot off and misseed, I could'nt hit a barn door with an air rifle, really must invest in a suppressed 410! So went around the other side of the shoot to check some traps around the feeders. Took the shotgun this time hoped to see a hare; only ended up shooting a couple of woodies but thought I would share a few pics. Cheers Couple of woodies, Ivy, and my trusty old 12
  2. Good going that, well done. We have got 1000 pheasant and 500 partridge coming on the 20th, and if we have the kind of percentages surviving as you have come the start of the season, I'll be chuffed to bits. Cheers
  3. oh yes. its about twice the speed, it has a random 3 second delay & you have to have your gun held a bit above your hip, there is also a different format. unfortunatly most grounds dont have it on which is a shame. when you say regular do you mean english? it is well worth shooting olympic skeet because it sharpens you up no end! Yes the skeet we do at the ground I go to must be English I guess; it has seven stands, you shoot high and low singles then pair on each, except for the third and fifth which are just high and low bird without the pair. I've only ever shot clays at
  4. I shoot skeet sometimes, when you say "olympic skeet" is that something different from regular skeet?
  5. With dogs mate its just rabbit and rats. Cheers
  6. The wife and I voted earlier this afternoon. Polling station about a three minute walk from us, but we still went in by car; goes without saying we did'nt vote for the Green party!
  7. Hi mate, one of the beaties of fly fishing is it's versatility. You can fish anywhere for near on any species, certainly any fresh water species can be taken on the fly; so yes, fishing a dam is no problem. Also with regard to casting intruction many trout reservoirs have instructors on site, I don't know the set up where you are, but I guess that will be the case everywhere(?). Welcome to the wonderful world of fly fishing, you won't regret it. Tight lines.
  8. Best of luck catching that pal, I am intrigued, never even heard of one let alone seen one or caught one. Cheers
  9. That is f*ckin funny mate, laughed my head off
  10. A friend of mine told me only this morning he has just got one, I will ask him if he got it online.
