    It's not so much the showing IMO,it's the racing ,Im not really into racing the the dogs at shows because your average working lurcher does not stand a chance most of the time ,if i do it is just for a bit of crac,but when people are breeding dogs just for racing it takes it away from the working dogs and it's only a bit of crac if there is a chance you might just win a race,but i know what Darren is saying when he started this thread,which is how much greyhound can you keep adding to a lurcher until it becomes a greyhound?7/8 ,15/16, 31/32 and some have even bred 63/64/and so on.so at what st

    Martin,you most likely did tell the truth about Ernie when you let him out to stud but when people try to sell the pups as full bred whippets is where the problem lies over here when it comes to flapper racing,over here we do not class them as non ped whippets they are whippet greyhound lines,If Ernie sire a litter of pups to a greyhound bitch,what would you class them? are they whippet/greyhound or are they still a non ped whippet? and how much greyhound can you put into a lurcher to stop calling them lurchers anymore,15/16 ,31/32 or some are even gone as far 63/64?     Your bang on here Kegs,there are(was) "whippet pups" on done deal sired by Ernie and when i phoned the lad, he was convinced they where full bred whippets but once i heard of their breeding ,i lost all interest (i was looking for a whippet for my bother)but i did put him straight but he was not inpressed

    I would give it out free,if i was looking for a new pup and i fancied the bitch ,i would pick a pup or if another friend was looking for a pup he could take my pick,Plus the bitch would have to be worth breeding from,some people that charge big money for covering a bitch will cover any bitch which in turn will result in substandard litters that could be sold for big money because of the dog used ,and then the line what has produced good stuff gets a bad name

    Just asking lads what you mean the dog cant be replace do you mean if that dog runs 1st round it has to run the rest????Surely if dog is hurt before the comp starts it can be replace????And if injury why cant have time to heel week or so????Will pictures be put up off runs before comp sounds good comp and best luck with it. I reckon,time will be given for injuries with in reason
