  2. It was well worth the day out,the land we where on when we met the farmer,we thought we already had permission on,LOL,but he was sound and once we told him who had gave us permission on the other land he was happy with that, and when he heard we had dug a fox he showed some more land to work ,that where we came across the deer ,which are always great to see
  3. went out with Dublin dezzy and bulljack this morning ,had a handy dig of around 3foot,to Dezzy's black and tan bitch after the lurcher ran it to ground, bulljacks wheaten/bull pup is starting to shine and his little terrier bitch is starting to take a keen interest,we walked a good bit of land and met a farmer while we where at it and gained a bit more permission,a pair of sika deer broke from some cover and all most trampled bulljack and his dogs ,but it was a good morning and the young dogs seen a bit of action Bulljacks young bitch tied up outside the entrance to have a sniff and to lis
  4. Benzyl benzoate is the stuff i was thinking of,dilute with something like baby lotion and cover the dog with it then wash the dog in about a week with a good flea and tick shampoo should do the trick
  5. My bother bought a house a few weeks ago and i was giving him a hand gutting it out,but i had a look in one of the sheds in the back garden and up on a shelve i found a full bottle of tick sol ,i haven't come across it in years but it is great for all sorts of skin parasites or there is stuff you can get in the chemist ,i cant thing of the name of it now,it's a white lotion for scabies on humans works a treat
  6. 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie ,coming up to 11 years old now into his 10th season of working and still going well for me
  7. it depends if i dig mid tube or in the stopend, mid tube i would bridge the tube with a good sod then start to back fill ,but if it is at the stop end just fill back in it won't make much difference to the earth,if your left with a bit of a dip when you have finished backfilling with what you have took out just cut a sod from some where else and fill it in
  8. Nice job Lev,i reckon it will be a few weeks before we get busy
  9. I was posting a good few hunting topics on here last season ,but got a pain in my bollox defending my actions to so called liked minded people,I am in Ireland and can lamp foxes with my dogs completely with in the law ,but still got pics reported and fcukers complaining ,if i was in the US or mainland Europe i could be posting anything from coyotes ,badger or wild boar without complained, some will argue that i could be in the UK but just using a tri colour to get away with certain posts ,but the mods can tell from the ip address which country we are in so posts should be flagged like the show

  14. here ye go ,from about 5 weeks ago, might bring him out with us tomorrow, did you go ferreting dismorning? ,how did ye get on Is that his normal length coat or did you clip him? Looks like other breed did you a favour with the coat too from that pic, my dog, even after he's been clipped and bathed, fecking stinks within a couple of days because of the oily coat. I stripped his coat a while back, came back like that,he has a bit of a harder coat than a full wheaten, more wirey

  18. I work alot of land i don't have permission on but i have been on the same land for years without any hassell ,they must know i am there but are not bothered because i dont cause any trouble, but i also have a lot of permission which i got most of from bumping into the farmer/landowner while i was on it,just be civil and conduct your self in a proper manner and you should not have any problems, and if you do gain some permission in an area you might just get away with going over the boundary ,the old line "i have permission off Paddy ,is this not his land" can work wonders . I have no prob
