  1. Thanks for the suggestions, I'm going have a look at the Air arms master service kit, it sounds like a good deal, and has everything in one package. I cant quite afford the v-mach so i think it will be the air arms. Is there a noticeable difference between the AA service kit and the V-mach? If there is i might consider holding out for a bit longer till i can afford it. Thanks matt
  2. Hello, i recently bought a secondhand Air Arms TX200 (not sure what mk or if its a hunter carbine or not) and im very pleased with the accuracy of the rifle. It seems to be quite an old version seeing as the serial code starts with 02 which i was told means that it was made in 2002. I chronoed it and its putting out 10.3 ft/lbs, Now im not too concerned with the power as its been knocking down squirells and pigeons with ease but i suppose that i wouldn't mind having the confidence of knowing that i was shooting a full powered rifle. My question is this, is it worth giving the gun
  3. yeah i will probably invest in a good tune at some point, i hear it makes all the difference
  4. ok, ill have a feel of them and see which one is the the best fit, either way ill end up with a good gun. im looking forwards to having a go with the springers again, its been quite a while! Thanks everyone

  6. If you had the choice which would you go for and why? I have the opportunity to by one of these two guns and im just wondering which one you reckon is the better investment thanks
  7. Can anyone give me an idea of what this is worth? Thanks
  8. Hello, I've got an AA s400 here that i've had for ages. It was my first PCP and i've had good use out of it in the time i've had it. The gun has been sat in my cabinet for ages now and it doesn't get any use at all so i'm interested to know what you think it would be worth if i sold it. Unfortunately the gun isn't in very good shape. I chronoed it a few years ago and i think i got about 10ft.lbs so something not quite right there. i was told that a service would probably get it up and running again but i didn't get round to it. The blueing is pretty crap in places and there are a f
  9. This is one that i caught yesterday. It was caught behind my chicken pen. I dont know how long it was, but it was pretty big.
  10. Hello everyone, i recently bought a chronograph and tested my .177 Air Arms S400, i was quite shocked to see that it is running at just under 10 ft.lb. I have had this gun for about 4-5 years now and it has been brilliant, i have taken shed loads of quarry with it, the vast majority of which have been outright, humane kills. what do you suggest i do to get it back up to 11- 11.5 ft.lbs. Are there any basic things that need replacing or cleaning after this amount of time without a service, preferably ones that i can do myself. would it be wise to take it into a gun

  14. Me and my dad went fishing today in bath, we tried two locations. The first was the weir pool in batheaston which we were told was a good spot for pike. Unfortunately nothing happened so we moved to a place 5 minutes away called newbridge, its meant to hold some very good size pike so we thought we'd give it a go and it payed off. my dad caught this on a trotted roach deadbait I also hooked a pike which was slightly smaller but it managed to unhook itself , i hooked it on lamprey when i got caught up in a tree and the bait was still in the water. we tried a few dif

  19. The two silkies that are shown were both hatched from eggs that i won off ebay, they were advertised as exibition stock and im pleased with the results. unfourtunately not all the ones i hatched survived but hopefully these two will repopulate my avairy. There were quite a few foxes about and ive lost quite a few birds to them, they were only chickens or geese but its still upsetting when a bird gets taken. The foxes dont seem to bother breaking into the avairy's where i keep my more "valuable" birds which is better i suppose. I borrowed a fox trap off someone and killed 3 in 4 weeks
