  1. I'll see if my mate is still getting rid of his for you, i'll pm you to let you know
  2. Thats not a bad haul for a pup mate well done...hope the dogs ok Heavily winded mate i don't think she could of stopped or turned in time with the ground being wet. She's kept in the house and sleeps in the bedroom so my mate will be able to keep a good eye on her
  3. Well done on the fox mate, we could only manage 8 rabbits with a 12 month old pup, we probably could of had more but she hit a fence post flat out , brain dead saluki mongrel what she is :wallbash:
  4. Air gunner you can take pheasants with your gun as long as you have permission, as far as pcp's go try a air arms you'll not go far wrong. Try to have a shot with one first mate to see what it's like
  5. I've shot a magpie and jackdaw with the hw100 that were flying and it was more luck than anything else, i don't think i could or would again though
  6. Have a look at the tasco silver antler range. A 40mm front lens is ok for daytime, 50mm is ok for dawn and dusk, also for lamping as it lets more light in. As for the zoom 3 - 9 is ideal for airguns mate. I use a 3 - 9 x 50 on my hw100 mainly for lamping, i use a hawke mildot 3-9 x 40 on the supersport carbine and a 4 x 42 on my smk xs78
  7. Nice shooting mate, shame you didn't live closer as i would of getting you some rabbiting for your guns, ferrets and dogs.
  8. B.S.A. Supersport .22, hawke 3 - 9 x 50 mil-dot scope, gun case and sling for £150 with a free B.S.A. meteor mk3. But i had to put the meteor together myself as the lad had got a new spring for it but had not put it in.
  9. Well done air gunner mate, keep at them grey's and pigeons
  10. 2 cracking pups there mate, a credit to you and lamp + battery. Good luck in the future with them
  11. A patterdale would be a good for you to use with the airgun and it should be ok by itself during the day, just give it plenty of toys to keep it happy. I used to have a russel x lakeland and it worked as a normal terrier, then when i was out with the gun it was excellent for picking up and finding wounded game. Get a pup and bring it on yourself mate, good luck with whatever breed you decide to get.
  12. I use crossman spitfires, pointed, through my xs78 as thats what it is most accurate with, they are deadly on all airgun quarry. I've killed rabbits and pigeons with them at 45 yards.
  13. I was supposed to be out tonight but i've changed my plan as i'm going lamping with the hw100. All the best
  14. At least you had the 1 mate, i like the pictures especially of the washing up (i spilt my cup of coffee).
  15. Try a lazerlite about £40 and a scope mount £15 for a 30mm scope tube but you'll need a 12v battery. I've got 1 although i use the lightforce striker when we have the dogs out as well. If you can get a lazerlite i've got a 30mm mount you can have mate. Good luck with your lamping and remember you don't get good bags all the time but when you have a good score of rabbits and other vermin it more than makes up for the blank sessions
  16. It will still kill vermin at 30 - 40 yards as long as you hit it in the right place, my smk xs78 is putting out the same with crossman spitfire pellets
  17. Wouldnt that be a qb79 then? umm the silencer i required second hand for little money, oringinally made for the king ratcatcher but as they share the same barrle it fits Steve It's a xs78 but with the 79 adaptor so i get 200 shots per bottle instead of 35 (i think) from the 12g bottles
  18. Hunting all legal british quarry except for the meteor which i use on targets
  19. Nice rifle mate, i've got a xs78 but it runs on the 88g bottle. How much was the silencer as i want 1 for mine because it is noisy
  20. Hello mate and welcome to the site, pre ban refers to before the hunting act came into force in england making it illegal to hunt most forms of quarry with dogs. The main exemptions are rats and rabbits.
  21. I hope there is a few more around as i hardly ever see them, i see otters more as there is at least 3 breeding pairs on the stretch of river i fish. Stoats are rare around here, i've seen 4 but i've never seen a weasel and the nearest shoot is over 3 miles away so they won't do any harm except the farmers chickens but if that happens i'll have to deal with them
  22. Sorry stealthy1 but i'm only on the net with my mobile as i need a motherboard for my pc. As soon as my pc is running again i will put some pictures up. I even got a couple of pictures of the otter the farmer said there was a pair on his stretch but it's partner wasn't about this morning
  23. I've just getting in after a couple of hours out on my new farm and i've getting 5 rabbits, 8 pigeons, 3 crows and a grey squirrel. I seen 2 stoats but as they aren't that common i didn't shoot them plus i like watching them out and about. I also seen a otter which really made my morning. When i got back to the farmhouse and having a cup of tea with the farmer he told me a couple of his friends might have some permisson for me although one doesn't like dogs on his land, so my sport for 09 should be good.
  24. Don't worry i wouldn't shoot any foxes with a airgun, i was supposed to take my mates lurchers but the oldest one's face is swollen after getting bit off 2 foxes on friday night. I've been up today and found 5 setts so we'll be taking the terriers and my friends shotguns up to thin them out a bit and gandalf i'm getting a new camera for xmas so i'll get some pictures of live animals not just dead ones
