  1. That's a nice fish my biggest is 13lb and it was a dwarf compared to her
  2. I forgot to say it was 15lb and we had been trying for trout all night, we ended up getting the land for hunting with a couple of days fishing, your right mate they do make a nice change especially when you think they are trout in the pond but it's full of ornamental fish
  3. My friend sent me this picture from the one of the last times we were out trying some ponds, we had been fishing the wrong pond all night and this took at 4a.m that's when we realised our mistake, luckily we found a further 3 ponds making our way back, which we ended up having some good nights on. I dread to think what would of happened if we had been caught at that pond
  4. Sorry to hear about your friends dogs, i've known 1 dog die of it and out of my friends dogs it was the better 1
  5. Well done mate, there is nothing better than being out early before most people are awake
  6. that would be braw bud. I've just realised it's not to do with validating windows it was a software conflict as i've just put some pics up in a gallery off my phone, i should get some pics later for you mate
  7. Nice lookig pup mate :thumbs-up: , i'm going to my mate's later i'll try and get a couple of pics of his 5 month old pup and put it up for you off my dads pc as i can't do it on mine, something to do with validating windows before i can use the software
  8. Nice piece of kit there mate, that silencer on johnbaz's ratty looks to me like a b.s.a. volumetric silencer, did you ever find out what it was
  9. It's a fat one mate, good on you for shooting it . I've been bit off a wounded one and it hurt like hell, it was worse than a rat or ferret bite, as i've been bit off all 3. The rat bite was nothing to start with then it swelled up, where as the squirrel started swelling up straight away.
  10. There's nothing a matter with a ugly terrier mate, my last lakeland russell was 14 inch by about 20 inches long and ugly but he still did the business, reading about your dog biting your mate had me in hysterics, it's cheered me up so i might go and wake my lass up and see if she's still in a bad mood with me
  11. Nice pictures of the pups mate, i'm looking to get a plummer in the future. I've had most breeds of terriers and there is good and bad in all breeds it's the owners that make or break them. Night time my time that's a bonny little pup mate and your picture with the fox proves they do work
  12. Excellent picture mate especially with a disposable, i love watching them playing there is 3 breeding pairs on the stretch of river i fish, when they show up though it's time to stop fishing and start enjoying the scenery as the fish don't seem to take after the otter has visited. Spud gun get yourself up here and you'll end up loving watching them playing or hunting
  13. I was supposed to be out tomorrow night but i've been arguing with my lass so i'm going tonight, tomorrow and for the rest of the week as well, let's see how she likes that. Good luck to everybody that's going bunny bashing
  14. I'll see if my mate is still getting rid of his for you, i'll pm you to let you know
  15. Thats not a bad haul for a pup mate well done...hope the dogs ok Heavily winded mate i don't think she could of stopped or turned in time with the ground being wet. She's kept in the house and sleeps in the bedroom so my mate will be able to keep a good eye on her
  16. Well done on the fox mate, we could only manage 8 rabbits with a 12 month old pup, we probably could of had more but she hit a fence post flat out , brain dead saluki mongrel what she is :wallbash:
  17. Air gunner you can take pheasants with your gun as long as you have permission, as far as pcp's go try a air arms you'll not go far wrong. Try to have a shot with one first mate to see what it's like
  18. I've shot a magpie and jackdaw with the hw100 that were flying and it was more luck than anything else, i don't think i could or would again though
  19. Have a look at the tasco silver antler range. A 40mm front lens is ok for daytime, 50mm is ok for dawn and dusk, also for lamping as it lets more light in. As for the zoom 3 - 9 is ideal for airguns mate. I use a 3 - 9 x 50 on my hw100 mainly for lamping, i use a hawke mildot 3-9 x 40 on the supersport carbine and a 4 x 42 on my smk xs78
  20. Nice shooting mate, shame you didn't live closer as i would of getting you some rabbiting for your guns, ferrets and dogs.
  21. B.S.A. Supersport .22, hawke 3 - 9 x 50 mil-dot scope, gun case and sling for £150 with a free B.S.A. meteor mk3. But i had to put the meteor together myself as the lad had got a new spring for it but had not put it in.
  22. Well done air gunner mate, keep at them grey's and pigeons
  23. 2 cracking pups there mate, a credit to you and lamp + battery. Good luck in the future with them
  24. A patterdale would be a good for you to use with the airgun and it should be ok by itself during the day, just give it plenty of toys to keep it happy. I used to have a russel x lakeland and it worked as a normal terrier, then when i was out with the gun it was excellent for picking up and finding wounded game. Get a pup and bring it on yourself mate, good luck with whatever breed you decide to get.
  25. I use crossman spitfires, pointed, through my xs78 as thats what it is most accurate with, they are deadly on all airgun quarry. I've killed rabbits and pigeons with them at 45 yards.
