Happy to oblige with an introduction as a new member currently searching the ether for input and feed back on what I assume may be the most common question in deer stalking. What is the optimum all round calibre; especially for a first rifle? Heard a lot of positive for the 6.5 x 55 and trying to make a correlation between other calibres with the tables of figures in the DSC1 Training Manual; DSC1 in 3 weeks at Otterburn. Great to see a site encouraging a non "text speak" environment.
