BALLS..............................I WENT THROUGH A LOT OF LURCHERS ,TRAINED EM TO GUNDOG STANDARD AND THEY WHERE ALL LACKING.I GOT MY BROTHER HIS FIRST 2 OUT OF EXCELLANT BREEDING AND BOTH 10 TIMES THE DOGS I HAD,WITH BASIC TRAINING ONLY.IE.STOCKBREAKING,JUMPING,RETRIEVING ETC. JUST TO ADD I DIDN T HAVE ACCESS TO THE SAME BREEDING WHEN I WAS AT THE LURCHERS. So your telling me theres no good dogs out there that arent from good lines?

Well some people on here seem to think ( in there opinions ) that you have to have good bloodlines in a lurcher to make it a good worker. IMO ( in my opinon ) i think thats wrong, As long as you bring a lurcher up well then it should have no problem working... but it would give you a advantage if yyou had a dog out of good lines. So... Theres my opinion. Whats yours?

here what the feck are you all going on for still? All i was doing is trying to as ka few members suggestions... But then again its just the first posters opinion on here isnt it? If someone says something bad about a thread on the first post then everyone tries to act funny behind there computers... Here is a SUGGESTION GET OUT IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PUT A POSITIVE SUGGESTION UP! .

hmm not sure i would think so... highly doubt a german sheperd would catch rabbits.. a quater or maybe less saluki and the rest collie seems like what you need although ive never seen one before.

but then that would take the cleverness away... i HIGHLY recommened the american bulldog x bull mastiff Nah on a serious note... the collie x grey is the best option for your needs... But he/she would need GOOD training...
