i have shot and killed many hare's. upto 30 yard's and beyond with a 12fp air rifle . hare's may look big but they are very thin skinned and weak willed hit em on the button and they go out like a light. i think a squirrel is tougher to kill cleanly at maximum airgun range . than a hare.

yeah nuttall does still loan's his dog's to various hunt's this i know . and i have also seen folk on here sayin his dog's are getting to small no way . if you pick his dog's up they are as heavy as lead. and as a good useable dog. required to work week in week out.[ not once every couple month] they are hard to beat. i'v had gamer strain dog's for sure but not nearly as useable . as for show's . well i hate em . usualy filled with dog's that have done and will do nowt.

i'v had a few good eel's accidentily when dead baiting for pike on the river . i'v caught em on roach,dace and smelt. my biggest was around 4lb's. but my mate had one on a sardine. that i would guesstimate was over 6lb. he was a couple hundred yard down stream to me and by the time i got there he had beat it's brain's out with a bank stick.. i told him he was out of order .that eel will a been as old as the hill's . he said it f" cked all my rig up . any way i took it home chopped it up and had a couple a pike off it. . eel's are pretty hard to release though. and i think thats why so many k

i aint wounded a fox for a long time but it does happen. i just shoot within my capabilities. to minimize it . but overall you must agree shooting is more effective than running with dog's[ which i have nothing against by the way] but if you are involved in game or conservation.. shooting is the best way of gettin rid of foxes.

most rifle men shoot game aswell. foxes are vermin that kill game so they gotta go. my mate is a grouse keeper and shoot's any fox any size any time. i have had over 30 cub's off him this year. and i will shoot foxes the minute the cub leaves the sett if i get the chance. to shooters foxes are pest's .that spoil there sporting interest's. usualy game bird's. and for this they gotta go. dog men see em as sport to run the dog's at . each to there own. but i like shootin and diggin. at the end a the day the fox dies wether it is shot or caught by dog's . only shootin is a more effecti

lesser black back's , great black back's and herring gull's are classed as vermin[ the young un you found sound's like it was one of the 3]. they can be shot legaly. ye should of fed it to the ferret's though.

i had a good old sealyham dog . quite a few years back . he was bred outta good stuff and some guy called yeah. cant remember his first name.. the dog had front leg's like a seal's flipper's and odd eyes one black one merle. . and was a hunt terrier. around northallerton way. . i knew a lad in south bank back then who had some real good dog's, parkes strain . he also knew . roy rice ,boothy.wheeler . very well . he got me my sealyham. and if i remember right i think it came from a guy called well he's shy. . this guy also got a sealyham bitch pup which he kept himself . but .i later f

do you mean to finish injured quarry off. if so . nah .. if i shoot it with the rifle and it aint dead i'l either stick another slug in it . neck it or stand on it. them pistol's are not much use for shootin live quarry with. you would be better off hitting summat over the head with it as opposed to shooting it with it..

no photo trick's the gimp is real mate got plenty of pic's of it. some of it when it was skinned out aswell . then you can see what it's body structure is like it's a proper twisted gimp. i'm suprised how it made it to adult hood . you would think it woulda perished as a cub . so it musta been doin summat right . until the day it bumped into a guy with an AYA NO4.
