  1. i'v never had a full border. but back in the day when i kept parkes strain some of these had a lot of border in em .i had a parkes bitch that looked like a full old time border . she was a real hard bitch..
  2. went to some permission i have earlier. a skip yard . just a big dump realy a bit quiet but i plugged these 2
  3. yes wanting good money from unproven stock. having a dog that you say is to good to work incase you lose it is the biggest load a shite i'v ever heard who dares win's . get it grafted..
  4. i'm pretty good at standing shot's practice. you can even do it in the house when your sat around bored .or on here without firing the gun. just pick a target a small pattern in the wallpaper maybe. take a bead on it and try and hold it steady for 5 second's. sound's stupid i know but this will accustom your body and muscles into holding the gun this way. free standing. and when it comes to doing it for real your are less likely to get the wobbles. oh yeah and dont take to long to pull the trigger, up , on em, steady, bang.
  5. dont worry timelord they wont stop coming either. i dont know why corvid's show so much interest in there dead. but it certainly work's in our favour. i dont think plastic decoy's would work aswell as a dead un. keep stickin the fallen in the freezer who know maybe you can marker and sell em as , the corvid magnet..
  6. good goin timelord . yeah sometime's they will get blown off the roof . just replace it with one out the freezer i like using dead magpies the best laid on it's back ,white chest showing , pull's em in from miles. it is funny the way the live bird's stand lookin at the dead un 'squaking there arse off . little do they know there gonna become the next decoy

    on telly now.

mmmm . looked like a bunch of posh old focker's. breeding from dodgey dog's then flogging the pup's for £££s. greedy old fock's i aint never had a pedigree dog and would never want one there all shite gimme a ruff 'n ready terrier any day. fock cruft's
  8. they are peregrine falcon's, not goshawk's.
  9. good work leave the magpie on the roof. it'l keep workin for ya. , put the crow in the freezer to use at a later date.
  10. yeah give it a try.work's like a charm for me i even left one dead on the roof for a few day's [ winter time] and shot 11 in two day's off it. [ a mix of maggies, crow's and jackdaws] i would no when there was some action as i'd hear the rackett of the live bird's. they just seem to gather round the dead un wondeing what has happened to it and are easy target's. i'v even got a couple a dead un's in the freezer which i will bring out and use just for this job. . i have heard that putting a decoy owl near the dead maggie or crow work's even better. though i'v not tried this. but i knew
  11. the best draw to bring in maggies 'n ' crow's . is a dead maggie or crow lying tit's up. when other's see this they come right to it lookin all concerned and makin a lot of rackett. it is easy to shoot em in the confusion. and if your gun is quiet and they dont see you. you can shoot half a dozen in the space of a minute or so. unlike pigeon's ect who fly off when they see one of there own shot. corvid's usualy hang about. [ i'v en seen em gently peckin a fallen comrade tryin to wake it up] if you capatalise on this you can have a few minutes of hectic shootin. . if i were you i wouldnt
  12. mmmm if i went round to a guy's kennel's and there was shit piled up like that. i wouldnt want a pup. much less buy one . £350 is a bit steep though. but some sucker will take it and then ya can buy a poopa scoop out the money..

    tough rabbit

yeah seen it a lot over the year's. and not only with rabbit's. ,pigeon's ,hare's[ and foxes not taken with an air rifle] .
  14. after checkin that link to there site . i wouldnt wanna be a member. i'm a bunny shooter, not a bunny hugger. and there aint nowt wrong with shooting jay's either fock em. folk like that make me puke.
  15. mmm. never seen black'n' tan's or white's. all the one i'v seen and that's a fair few were red . except the one black un i mentioned..
  16. you said it . them were the day's..
  17. yeah . i'm glad i was right into it back in those day's i would hate to be a diggin hungry young lad wanting to test my dog's now. the strain was over hard realey . and took to much punishment .though i never seen em back down and i'v seen these dog's smashed beyond belief and still go at it, braindead, tango the bitch i had was pretty late starter and a real good lookin bitch. but when she got started the look's went. she got so smashed she ended up lookin like a pound a mince. but work aside she was a lovely natured dog.in the house around the kid's. i would love to have her over
  18. all the parkes dog's i'v seen are red border lookin. . bar one which was a black un. which was owned by my mate in the mid 1980's. . reason i no longer keep em i now move in differant circle's shooting mostly and no longer work terrier's of any strain. i am gonna get a patterdale for the house and the kid's though. it probably wont see much a few rat's now and then will be it's limit.. back in the late 's to late 90's i lived for diggin. and i do still love it .but we live in different time's now and what we got away with year's ago . you wont get away with today. if you know what mean
  19. i think in the next few year's there will be british ex pat terrier men living in france
  20. i kept parkes strain about 14 year's ago.. my mate at the time knew parksy very well and often was given pup's off parksy for nowt. anyway my mate swore by em. so i got a couple dog's off him. a red border lookin bitch i called tango. she was a very good bitch who found when other's didnt. though she was a bit to hard and got leathered . she ended up with most of her teeth gone and bad scarring after a couple a season's. i bred from her to another good parkes dog. and kept a dog pup back.mick. he was very hard and head strong. but to be honest yes they were good dog's all be it a bit hard bu
  21. i would never grab or pull a dog by the tail . i seen a dog years ago who's owner had tried pulling the dog out of a dig by it's tail. after it had latched on to a fox. he damaged the dog's spine.[ vertebrea] and afterward the dog walked like a constapated ferret.
