I used to run a 2nd cross beddy whippet in the beating line on a prestigious pheasant shoot. She was excellent in the line, would find and flush and watch them away. She would take rabbits and hares though this did cause problems if they went forward.

all pups are immuned from all this until they are 12 weeks old with the mothers milk so best to do them at this age not younger. Protection from the dam starts to fade from 6-8 weeks. Its personal choice when you do it but most vets do them at around 8 weeks. I also do mine at this age.

How many do you have? I am interested.

My pups have arrived, a litter of Cocker and Springers. Both litters bred to keep a pup or two back for myself.

What sort of MPG are you getting out of it.

That is really good to hear. Lots of effort and care went into producing these pups and if you're going to do it then it should be done properly. Great to know that you are happy with the little guy.
