i had to hobs together and one was a nasty git and it killed the other one...but as stubby says put them in and walk away its just a dominance thing thats how ferrets see who wears the boots lol but as stubby says ya wnt get better advice dan dat matey

personaly i feed mine meat i.e liver,beef its just a mix that my local butcher makes up for me and puts it threw the mincer and my ferrets love it,but i also have dried j.w.b ferret food on offer to with plenty of water just so as they have a choice to what they want to eat,and i give them rabbit when i come home frm the field also,plz dnt say ya feed do/cat food? its a no no...a.t.b with them and i look forward to seeing the pics soon wouldnt mind seeing your set up you are building for them to mate?

very wierd the missus just got back from the library and goes ere ya go and passes me 'more tales of the old poachers' by john humphreys as im readin this thread. it must be a sign either to read it or go out for a bit of poachin lol, rekon ill read it first ay lmao good stuff matey...is it the hand illustrated one? its a crackin book well worth a read il tell ya...ya shud copy it cuz its hard ta come across

lol funny you shud say that i have the same very to books the book "more tales of the old poacher" is by a fella called John Humphreys which is as you said funny as hell,i have the illustrated edition that i think was around in 1995,theres also a crackin book called The Confessions of a Poacher i think it was done in about 1890 (dont quoate me but its sumfin like that) its also a cracker book im sure i have them around also,which if ya want a lend of brimmer you can i will have to hoak my old books out from tha attic and give them a dust lol

buy one mate its much easier lol i made a few and by the time i had them finnished it cost ma 20 odd quid in wood and hinges and bits and bobs....john hubery on the forum makes the best bow backs i have saw around hes on the forum and i think he sells them for £25 which is cheap as they are the dogs balls

id agree with ya der about ppl eating it but what illnesses did ya ever hear of that people had? look at today its riddled with bad health,people seemed to be much healthier back then i think...question is why?

great post i must say...i remember my granda (who is now passed away) used to tell me stories of "back in the day" and great they where he used to walk for miles over the cave hill and black mountain in belfast rabbiting and he used to tell me about the old methods he used and things,he used to ba a cabnit maker and made crooks/staffs also infact i have his very crook he used in the field its sort of bow shaped so he cud cut away headges and also hang rabbits on it out on the field its a great bit of kit il tell ya...he also used to make nets out of fishing nest from belfast docks that the tra

vaccinated rabbits can still get maxi but not as bad as they would without the vaccine,im not aware of a cure for maxi? i have heard of vets giving people antibiotics and telling them to bathe the eyes and stuff but no wonder jab like? i could be wrong like but...and any pet rabbits that have got it i no of have dies still...i no there is a vaccine to pervent rabbits geting maxi but its not 100% ders alwaya a chance of them geting it...and also can ferrets not get maxi?? surely if Cheyletiella fur mites get on a ferret that are infected theres a risk to the ferret? i no my vets do a vaccine fo

i didnt mate a jill i had a few yrs ago that i had as she had somefing up with her kidneys (so the vet told me) so when she came into season after i was told this i didnt get her jumped and she died about 4 weeks after not sure weather it was her kidneys or not getin served? so i voted yes...but i think no would be most peoples views as i no plenty of people who have done it and not had a death
