My youngest granddaughter, Imogen 2 years old tomorrow Sat 8th, is currently in the running to win a competition run by a local garden centre; she's currently running 2nd. If you follow the link below to Facebook it will take you to her photo. If you 'LIKE' it then you add to her score and it will go a long way to at least securing her current 2nd place with still a chance of getting 1st place. I will be forever grateful and it will relieve the earache my daughter is giving me as well. Personally I just love her to bits and she's my best mate as well as my granddaughter so winning means no

Bisley Long Range Gold are every bit as good as AA Field but their cost and, sometimes, availability rule them out. In the final analysis I think you'll find that AA Field suit 9 out of 10 of us.

I obtained this AR2079 in a rather sorry state with a split stock and bent barrel. It leaked like a sieve and put out 4ft//lbs. I bought it because it's a .177 and I have the wherewithall to put it right for next to nothing. The barrel was straightened with the use of a heavy rubber mallet and two softwood blocks and the stock was repaired with a metal dowel and Gorilla glue. The stock has been reshaped as I didn't like all those sharp and angular edges on the smaller 79 target stock. The length of pull has been increased with the insertion of a 3/4" Aluminium spacer at the butt and the s

ITS ON AN FAC ANYWAY AS IM IN NORTHERN IRELAND,THE RESTRICTOR SCREW AT THE SIDE WAS IN FULL AND LOCKED HENCE NO POWER Did it come back from Air Arms like that? If so I would have words with them about that. I like my Air Arms S400 but of late we seem to be getting more and more sad stories about AA service. I hope it isn't a sign of things to come.

60 years of age and not been without an airgun since I was 14 years young. I was NEVER supervised as a lad which I now realise was totally irresponsible on the part of my parents. I take my grandchildren shooting and they have never fired a pellet without being supervised - it's the only way, for everyone's benefit.

I agree with oldskool I stuck with my eley wasps .22 brilliant pellets tried others but always stuck with the wasps As regards Ely Wasps; if it doesn't have the name ELY on the tin, just Wasp, then they are made by BSA. There are still some stocks of Ely knocking around and they are far superior to the plain Wasp. As regards calibre my .177 hates either of them but in .22 flavour they are fine in all of my guns. They are a very short pellet compared to the likes of AA Field and I find they are that light and short they corkscrew using my .177 guns, so I use Bisley LRG, Accupell o

The pressure of the bottle may well be OK as most of us only fill our S4**'s to 175/180bar. The number of fills you will get depends on the water capacity of the bottle i.e. 12 litre, 7 litre, 3 litre. The larger the water capacity the more fills you will get. As for getting 120 shots per fill he may well be if he overfills the gun to 200 bar and shoots till it vents at 50 bar. Not a lot of point in that though is there, as only about of those shots (.22) will be on the money. You can overfill a 232 bar bottle to 250 bar perfectly safely if the dealer will do it but most bottles get rath

Cheers for that. I have bookmarked the site before but never looked at the pellet prices. There may be very little stock left for the rest of you now !

Oh yes? Your words my friend! Bulbs are by far the most convenient way of recharging in the field. Many a PCP owner would wish for something similar if it were possible. Plus when the gun is charged they are no longer bulbs but a charged reservoir so I don't actually see your point. :wallbash:

Quite frankly that info is way, way off the mark! I suggest you do a bit of research especially on US websites where they have a cult following. The sale of these guns is going through the roof at the moment. Just what is it you don't like about CO2 at 850psi as against the 2500psi in a PCP? I shoot the AA S400 Classic and I also have three CO2 guns. My fully tuned XS78 is a fair match for any gun at my club (they had the same opinion as you once upon a time - not any more though, I can't get it back off them at times) and I match them shot for shot out to 65yds, which seems to be about t

Best way mate. Every responsible air gunner should have access to one. My wife bought mine for me for last Christmas. She ordered it on Friday 21st Dec not expecting it till after Christmas but it was here the day after, the 22nd! Brilliant service and should you shoot the end off it as we all do at least once , the spares are dirt cheap.

The XS78 was originally a copy of the Crosman Rabbitstopper. Both guns replicate the bolt action of powder burners and were and actually still are used by some youth groups as trainers. The statement that it will be useless in cold weather isn't quite true as I use mine all year round. Co2 needs to be above 10 deg C to reach it's working pressure but that only needs to be at the guns breech. I use those small reusable hand warmers that you can get from Lidl and Aldi just tucked in my left hand adjacent to the breech and it shoots just as it does during the Summer. There is also the bonus
