  1. Was doing the washing up when a section came onto the news about the number of animal related offences increasing. They had a woman on there from a wildlife sanctuary/resue place then a number of recent problems, a hedgehog being used as a football etc etc. The one that surprised me was 2 hares that were nailed to a five bar gate. This seemed strange to me, must be one of 2 things: A - Landowner confronts coursing folk on his land, words are exchanged and they do that to spite the farmer. B - Antis from the area possibley being sick of the lack of police monitoring so they
  2. Hey Everyone, Anyone catch the TV show Occupation on BBC 1? Bloody good show, dont know how realistic it is as i havent been in the forces but as far as good acting and edge of the seat drama, its hard to beat i think. The link is below to the iplayer page: Occupation iPlayer page! Take ite easy Edd
  3. Christ Almighty!!! Hunting life! we should change this forum to Bitching Life! Anyway a great looking dog mate, looks so different from the norm. Good luck. Edd
  4. Looks like a cracker, beware selling dogs so cheap, ideal for morons who will sell on ASAP no giving a shi*t about the dog. Good luck finding her a good home. Edd
  5. Hey dave, Yeah its a sony ericsson 5 megapixel one, pretty handy when i am out and about and dont have a camera with me. Yeah dogs are well, just limited runs at the moment, mixy is about at the moment. Need to secure some new lande for when the crops go, get out on some bigger fields. Take it easy Edd

  8. I watched the show last night on iPlayer. Really shocking stuf. Every documentary on TV has a motive usually controlled by the Director and finished off in the editing suite. Yeah this is a bad show for genuine dog keepers, people who respect their breeds, control their dogs and realise they are something to be trained and nutured, not used as a tool for respect on the streets. It doesnt happen often but it made me shed a tear watching those dogs in the vets, truley disgusting what so called humans can put an animal through. The DDA has many flaws, no doubt, and it still st
  9. Yeah fair play, i have noticed some turbocharged bunnies around my way as well! Out tonight with me and a couple of mates, one of them has his 22 centrefire, not many will outrun that!!! Have a good weekend folks! Take it easy Edd
  10. How annoying is it, get home from work 5:30ish and the wind is blowing, there is some cloud cover, awesome I think. Out with a mate tonight and will give the dogs a real run. Go to look outside half an hour ago, the weather is flat, no wind, no cloud cover and the moon is shining at me, winking and putting its middle finger up i bet! Still lets hope I can be quiet whilst out!

    bbc 2 now

YEah a good program. When i first spotted the woman i thought she was going to be a right wimp but fair play to her she threw herself into it, funny when she kept making holes in the Wolf skin! It was strange the way that they despatched the horse, strange they cant afford a bolt gun but can afford the diesel to drive 2 hours to the next village to eat some tough old nag!!! But i guess they do it as it is the way that they have always done it and changing it now would disrespect their elders who have done it for 100's years. Still quite a good program, shame they didn't film her
  12. Looks like an awesome dog, my Mrs wants another dog when we give back the dog i am looking after. Something like this would be awesome for me, but i think she will want another whippet. Post some more pics up mate and i will show them to her, hopefully she will change her mind! I guess its not KC registered, any info on the breeding? Sorely tempted by these but price usually scares me a little, seems the minimum price for a KC Reg Saluki is £600+, and the sky is the limit!!!
  13. I will be going on the sunday, taking my 2 whippets. The blue is only 9 months old so should be able to enter him in a class. See you there!
  14. I had quick delivery and prompt phone calls from them. Unless both DHL and Parcelforce both use helicopters when the roads are impassable then you will get delays. We are getting delays now due to depot screw ups! Just put things in perspective mate, people are losing work and jobs and we are in a recession. Waiting a little longer for £170 boots surely isn't the end of the world?
  15. Well done for getting him back to safety. Must admit that if that was me i would struggle to have left without him the first time. I would of been tempted to take him there and then. Utter, utter, utter scumbags. Plain and simple. Im not religious but i live in hope that either karma gets him in life or some higher being has something in store for him when he bloody dies, tosser.
  16. Hi, cool looking birds, just a quick question, what is the idea of keeping these birds? Do you show them? Cheers Edd
  17. Im from a village about 20-25 minutes from chippenham. Welcome!!!
  18. Hi All, My pups nylon collar is pretty much reaching the end of its life and i want to get a nice leather one. Any idea of any shope in WIltshire or good websites where i can buy one. Also after the best kind of slip lead for a whippet. At the moment i just use his normal lead doubled round but this can be a pain in the a*se and give my fingers cramp when walking a long way! Any advice would be great. Cheers Edd
  19. it was the beaufort hunt meet. I will be taking him to whippet racing in the summer, we have a local whippet hunting club called The South Cotswold Whippet Racing Club who meet at Nympsfield. Is should keep him fit!
  20. That is one fantastic picture with the little lass smileing inbetween the 2 dogs! One for the wall that.
  21. He is only 8 months old. I am limiting the amount of time i take him out on the lamp so he doesn’t get burnt out! If it was up to him he would be out all night every night and sleep all day, he would end up nocturnal!
  22. nah he is bunched up trying to get a bit of foood from my hand, he doesnt like to pose for photos! His breeding is: keiths solid blue: Strike while the irons hot Worker one also some sooty sam casey whe: jessjohn blue spark millens rabbit catcher also some lord of the night Without typing the whole thing out!!! He is a cracking dog, hopefully he will turn out to be the real deal.
  23. Nah i am in Wiltshire, bought the fleece from Equafleece, i only use it when its cold and we are standing around for ages, it was a godsend at the boxing day meet!!! Yeah he coat has a real sheed but as you say, doesnt keep him warm. As for the floor, its my own place so if my mum started complaining i would tell her where to go!!! In all fairness my girlfirend wasnt too impressed but thats what hard floors are for, you can clean them easy. The hare was shot, but it did run a fair way before the gun brought it to a halt. Going to give him a rest for the weekend and seek som
